An awkwardness hung in the air, and it wasn't borne from the increasingly naked Maisie. Jenna felt herself grumbling as the graduate freed herself of the stiff attire.

As the teacher wrestled with the words of the younger woman, she almost forgot her dwindled size. In fact, both women would have noted - if not for their mind being on other things - that the reduction in scale was suddenly less pronounced in their new space.

The doll's bed was still clearly a doll's bed, and their clothes were stiff and uncomfortable, but in the solitude of the gloom, a solitude illuminated only by the expansive night beyond - it was easier to forget that they were very, very small. These mental distractions were easier to lose oneself in when there wasn't a gigantic woman nearby as a reminder of their dwindled status.

It was almost as if the four walls of this cardboard box shielded their minds somewhat. Still, it was hard to avoid the reality of their situation.

Maisie was finally free of her garment, and despite its stiffness it had provided a bit of a shield against the chill of the evening. Still, it wasn't cold enough to be an issue. She felt Jenna's eyes on her as she waltzed across their living space.

"...What?"

Jenna had played out several responses in her head - to trip up the girl who had thoroughly shot down her desperate desire for escape. The issue was that Jenna couldn't find any obvious flaw in the girl's reasoning... 

Jenna hated that.

In truth, while being shrunk and carted across town was a situation worthy of one's loathing, what she hated just as much was the lack of control. She couldn't will herself back to her original size, she couldn't get Sophie to do anything she asked, and now she couldn't enlist this Maisie girl in her dreams of escape. It appeared such plans would have to remain in the realm of dreams for now.

Jenna hadn't responded to Maisie's question, and a repeat of the query snapped the older woman back to the present. "Uh, nothing." She said clumsily.

Maisie shrugged. "You don't mind that side of the bed?"

Jenna almost pouted and turned away from the slightly taller girl, leaning against the bedframe - forgetting for a moment it was made of plastic. "It's fine. I won't be getting much sleep I don't think..."

The younger woman sighed, easing onto the hard surface of the bed. It had a very slight bit of a give, which was somewhat relieving. "If there was an easy way out, I'd take it, Jenna. Right now though...?" She let her words hang for a moment, just as her feet dangled in the air. "I really think we'd be just risk making this situation worse."

"Worse?" Jenna said, jokingly.

"Well... We could have ended up even smaller, I suppose."

The teacher grumbled. She could feel herself fighting her own fatigue - her mind clearly trying to wrest any kind of victory or control. Her eyes travelled to the sealed door, and the giant woman across the hall.

"What do you think she's doing over there...?"
