Working From Home (Patreon)

"'Another fortnight, maybe two'?! You're not serious."

Eliza was far from pleased with her team.

"We've been trying to solve the reversal of the effects, Eliza. It's just, well... we'd spent the last eighteen months on getting the reduction working and-..."

Eliza cut Tina off. "Don't talk to me about the schedule, I was the one who wrote it!"

Morgan shuffled uncomfortably. It was a strange mixture of feelings. She didn't like Eliza's management style, to say the least, and had generally found her very intimidating. Technically she was still their boss but, well... it was harder to be as intimidated these days. Especially when Eliza's unadvised tinkering with the device was the cause of all this...

Tina continued. "Right! So, you know that we weren't meant to be tackling the restoration of miniaturized targets for another six months at least."

Eliza groaned. "We already talked about this! Move it up the schedule!"

Tina bit her lip. "We have! It's just that these things can't be so easily shuffled around. We're..."

"'Working on it.' I know, I know. Work on it harder, you two. I want another update before lunch, got it?"

Tina and Morgan sighed inwardly. Even at her new size, Eliza was a tyrant.

Morgan's curiosity poked at her, she had to ask. "Uh, Eliza... is that your own shirt?" It was a more brazen question than she had ever asked.

Eliza shuffled uncomfortably, considering her words. "What? No. I mean, yes. I... I had to order some stuff online and... I'm still figuring out the sizes and... age ranges and..."

"W-wait, that's a kid's...?"

"I've got another meeting! I'm jumping off." The shrunken woman lied, ending the call as quickly as she could.
