MY FIRST BL!

I tried to watch 3 other suggested ones but I couldn't make it past their first eps. This, however, is quite exciting!

Please LIKE this post if you're watching with me! Since I didn't hold a poll for this, I do need to see if there'll be enough viewers to continue the series ☺️

PS. I'll also try to post a highlight compilation for Youtube so we can get more people to join us but will depend on copyright restrictions.

Ooooooo, this is a good one! I'm very picky about Bls, but there's several really good ones. I just need to know what you're looking for so I can give the proper suggestions. KinnPorshe is a good start. Looking forward to watching this with you.

Lily Bujnak

OH MY GOD!!! What a tough one for the start haha🤣 may I also ask what the other 3 were? (So we won’t suggest them next time ) and can’t wait to watch thissss

jeffavenue

mainly kbl: secret relationship, semantic error, love in the big city. it’s not that they’re bad. i think it’s just not what i’m looking for right now. i think im needing a bit of a grander storyline. also something that could get a big reaction out of me lol

jeffavenue

hiii! like this one: a more grand plot, great cinematography and production, hot dudes (lol), chemistry and above all just something that can get a big reaction out of me 😁

Lily Bujnak

Oh yeah understandable.. for love in big city it’s not a classic bl it’s more of like life as a gay in Korea I would say and tbh that show is masterpiece but I understand that it’s not something you’re looking for at the moment and as for the first bl

CallistoWarriorQueen

I see you decided to just jump right in the deep end haha. Love this series!

jeffavenue

the deep end? 👀 how deep we going…

Eb

Hmm, if you're looking for a lot of entertainment, drama, and chemistry, I say maybe Only Friends would be a good option. It's also very spicy. Lol.

Crystal World

secret relationship does have that it's just like a tsunami, its starts slow then hit you big

Mariana

upgraded my subscription for this which means that it's THAT good! 😁

one of the reasons kinnporsche was so anticipated and loved is because it offers a grandness and budget bl usually isn't known for, to be honest I can't think of any other bl that can offer you that, at least of the top of my head. There's other bls with very interesting crime plots like history 3 trapped, manner of death etc, but they're often not as action packed/you can tell they can't afford to do the action as well. When it comes to creating large reactions, you can get those usually through bls that are very sexual, like only friends, bed friends, and tons more, but in my personal opinion those dramas often rely on getting an audience due to the rated scenes and are a let down in the writing. I don't want to be too negative but just so you have a realistic expectation of what bl can offer you haha, the Genre still has a long way to go but luckily with larger audiences there's more money involved and hopefully better productions in the future! However, when it comes to cinematography there's some truly great ones out there like I told sunset about you, GELBOYS and the eighth sense.

nins

wish you can continue secret relationships. it's so messy and crazier but in a good way as you watch more episodes but anyways i'm so excited for this one as well for ur first bl!!!

RAN

I was waiting for something like Bad Buddy, but this is also good, even tho it has some scenes that I'm not okay with.

Bruklyn W.

Ooh ok this makes sense and kind of very up your alley! It’s very like dramatic, more mature and has amazing cinematography and great acting! I’m so excited to rewatch with you! (Hopefully soon but I’m already behind on your universe league reactions because university is kicking my ass rn)

Bruklyn W.

Also idk if anyone has told you yet but just as a warning ⚠️ this show has some pretty mature themes. It’s mostly just violence, drugs etc (like normal mafia themes) but… There’s also some darker and more controversial stuff like sexual assault/abuse (kind of teetering on bdsm but explicitly done in an unhealthy way that will make sense when you get to it), mental health and suicide mention, torture…

Bruklyn W.

None of the darker stuff is normalized or anything like that though! It’s all showcased in a generally negative light and is very much tied into childhood trauma and mental health struggles and stuff.

bee.beebee7

If your first bl is Kinnporsche then the standard is HIGH lol. But just a warning, this one is pretty mature and intense so be mentally prepared!

Honeybabe

It is a great BL, it has fantastic acting , but there are lot of mature themes in the drama ,the chemistry between the two leads is super hot . I enjoyed watching it , look forward to your reactions.

stephanie44

secret realitionship, and mostly love in the big city and semantic error are one of the best bls tbh. but theyre mainly about the romance and normal life lol. this is a action/mafia show, with romance, so i get it. i love kinnporsche as well. many bls are mostly focused on the romance and that is the main plot. some exist, but not many have a crazy plot, its mainly about the romance lol

Lynn

WHAAT OMG I didn't think you would START with Kinnporsche?? 😳 This one is great though! I really hope you enjoy it!

Lynn

If you're looking for a grand plot, there aren't many with as crazy of a theme as this one, but there are some very MESSY bls, as in a lot of relationship mess and drama going on. If you're feeling that vibe later on, I can recommend some! As for shows with not a typical realistic plot, there's love for love's sake which is like inside a video game theme, but it is much calmer than this show lol. Another one is Triage, which is set in the medical field and its about being stuck in a time loop and having to travel back in time to solve a problem, if you're ever interested in that.

Lynn

Oh, if you're looking for others with a big plot like this, I recommend my Stand-In and Not me!

Forstin S

AAAA I LITERALLY SCREAMM WHEN I SAW THE NOTIFICATIONNN this one is one of my fav bl series i can't wait to rewatch with you!!🙌 honestly i kinda shocked a little bit you choose this bl because this bl has a lot heavy things with raw scenes (idk how to explain it )other than some bl that has been recommended 😁 but the cinematography & acting so goodd so i hope you will like it~~

Lynn

The relationship between the main characters is definitely going to develop a lot throughout the show and get to that point you're talking about soon.

Lucie Joubert

It was one of my first bl. It's a very good one. So good that make difficult later to watch others ones. Have a good time watching it. 👍

Jenn BL

My first BL and looking forward to rewatching with u! It’s top tier!

it'smcp

Oooh i've been meaning to watch this now i get to watch it with you

Deiseree

My friend’s been suggesting this drama for a while. I took a break watching BLs so this will be my first in a while

S

OMG I AM SAT. I was liking everyone’s comment recommending this but I did not think u were gonna watch it for ur first BL. But pls tell me what the other shows were that u didn’t like???? I hope it’s not Bad Buddy 😭

pia_universe

I havent seen this so im excited to watch it… i just heard from others that this is intense so… 😅 i need to be ready

S

Kinnporsche set the bar for Thai BLs and BLs in general I think. It is the example of what happens when things are done right with care and budget. Production, direction, writing, NC scenes, editing, makeup, wardrobe, acting all on point. Nothing came across as sub par and it really levelled up the quality in the Thai BL industry but I won’t say this show is perfect and that there isn’t other good shows out there. But there’s usually 2 out of 5 qualities that are good in bl shows but it’s not often that the whole package is done well with budget. Even here there is gonna be some mic issues with the rubbing sound but I really can’t hear it other than the 1 or 2 scenes in this ep so maybe cuz u got the earphones on. But just a heads up the rubbing mic issue is common as hell in Thai Bls and that’s an example of how these shows cut corners I mean they really don’t have a high budget. BOC made KinnPorsche and it’s a brand new company with KP being their first show. The actor who plays Kinn whose name is Mile comes from a rich background himself and when the show got cancelled with the previous company he took it to his friend to help produce the show. Pond is the CEO of BOC and those two really worked hard to get investors and use their connections to make this happen. They have a lot of pride in the quality of this show, they wanted to make something to the standards of Hollywood shows/movies. They got Ducati sponsored bikes and other sponsors. Another thing you might’ve noticed is there will be product placements so that inhaler stick during the boxing scene was one example. And again usually the product placements are so random or ridiculous or out of character or takes away from the plot that it gets annoying as hell. But a few shows have started incorporating the sponsored products more smoothly. The spice level will come don’t worry but there will be some dubious or straight up darker moments. The way you never saw an ass shot in previous BLs but KP upped the spice level with taste. I cannot tell u how many shows tried to include a BDSM theme after this show but it all fell flat, they just added it for the shock factor. Anyways I hope you’ll continue to release 2 eps per week in your reactions.

Mikkie

Can you let us know what you tried and didn't like so we can know what isn't your thing for the future?

jeffavenue

will touch on it on the next ep ☺️

Mikkie

I know that's what I was thinking! Though the typical Thai BL style can be difficult to get used too sometimes so I wouldn't be too surprised haha

jeffavenue

i’m definitely seeing the demand for bl’s grow. much like how kpop was niche before. i think it’s a great opportunity for productions to elevate because of this demand and more viewers will come for sure

jeffavenue

it’s not a total loss! also the lead guy from WEi is so pretty

jeffavenue

thanks for the warning without a total spoiler!

jeffavenue

take your time! school more important 🫢

AleksBh

I don't know if I'll keep watching this series with you because an action drama show is not my cup of tea. However, the fact that you're branching out to the BL world is exciting. This rabbit hole is a roller-coaster ride.

Allie

Excited to watch this with you I really liked this one I prefer the darker mature BLS way more then the super cutesy can't wait to see you keep watching 🤍

Breanna Mooney

I’m a little late lol but about the ADR so many fans haaaaate ADR and complain about it especially in Thai BLs. That’s probably why they didn’t use it. A lot of people think it’s more distracting than the mic rubbing noise. I don’t like either one so it doesn’t matter to me. I just hear people complain about ADR so often

Breanna Mooney

I think Love In The Air has a pretty grand plot (not as grand as KinnPorsche tho) it’s also Thai. Plus two of the leads Boss and Noeul are super hot with amazzzzzing chemistry the other two leads are as well I’m just a big fan of BossNoeul lol (their new BL just ended and was verrrry good and interesting called The Boy Next World, both are also on iQIYI) maybe Manner of Death. Also DFF (Dead Friend Forever) or 4MINUTES which are both from the same company as KinnPorsche and have unique concepts.

jeffavenue

ohh. honestly adr sucks cause unless it’s done right, it’s just weird dubbing. would be best to just have amazing audio capture on set but unfortunately not always possible 🥺

Mavin~

Jeff watching Kinnporsche is a chef kiss~~ I can't wait to see your reactions to the following eps, especially on the Vegas character, haha. I hope you will react to the actor's reactions on this show and where they talk about how they feel about their characters and their promotion interviews. The Kinnporsche squad has a very special bond that makes me happy to see them. You can go to Be on Cloud channel and watch the behind-the-scenes of each ep, the actor's vlogs, etc. After you watch ep 7, you can watch a glimpse of their fan screening in the theater through this link: https://youtu.be/wcePPqIZNtE?si=z3ygOlZeDKe-kapN

Callie

I think you might like Not Me as well, if you prefer a more mature, plot-focused BL. If you want a show that is spicy straight from the top, that would be Love in the Air (Thai version). Also did you say that you are reacting weekly? I want to know what day to anticipate the watch party! It's so fun to rewatch this for the first time knowing everything that's coming.

jeffavenue

thanks for the suggestions! yes uploads will be weekly. just posted the new eps!

Aliana G

Yes please watch love in the air next, it’s so good and the actors are so hot 🥵

Ana Aguilera

Thank you for reacting. Omg it's been a while since I've been on you're patreon but I had to re-subscirbe because now you're doing bls & not just any it's KinnPorsche. Definitely here for this. If you're looking for high budget bls their actually not that common unless their heavily invested in for example here Kinns actor was already wealthy before this & was determined to get this series going because it was originally canceled. Another series that I can think of is Jack & Joker because the two leads also invested into it one of them even sold his car to put all his worth into that production. Here some other icoinc bls that I recommend for their cinematography, storytelling, chemistry, & acting I Told Sunset About You, Moonlight Chicken, The Eight Sense, A Tale of a Thousand Stars, Love Mechanics (2022 version), Not Me theirs probably more but these are some I rank highly.

andrea malvesado

I just want to know who suggested kinnporche for the first bl 😄 🤣 😂
