Interesting to see how the cultural context added so much value to the performances which we weren't prefaced with in the Studio Choom versions! I definitely expanded more on that.

Also, second elimination!! Did the right team go home??

You can watch my Studio Choom reaction for this mission here.

PS. I saw that the new mission Choom versions are up but I don't think I'll do a separate reaction on it this round. I'm hoping to start catching on some comebacks and need the time.

Of these two crews yeah the right one was eliminated but out of the 5 remaining crews, no I don’t think RH deserved to go.

I think AG squad was definitely robbed in the scores. Their national identity score should’ve been 100 for all of them. But I think because the judges clearly weren’t familiar with Australian culture, they couldn’t really resonate with the significance of what the girls did. I still think they had the lowest ranking video but definitely deserved perfect score for the national identity part

I saw Koko from IZNA do the ECHO challenge, but yeah. Not that much idols are doing it:((

I get that its a korean show with KOREAN judges but come on now. If Mnet is asking them to show their country’s IDENTITY & CULTURE.. shouldn’t they have judges from every country? like make it makes sense ykk.. its sooo obvious that they wont get the reference for other countries, like you could see Mike Song having deep emotional connection with Motiv cuz he GREW UP in the US yk yk.. oh welpp

i know its a high stress situation but Kaea has to be more careful to show a good attitude on cam. aaliyah is looking like the real leader of AG.

The middle class choreo by ag squad is much more viral than the leaders echo choreo for sure Man, it's definitely my bias since I'm from USA, but I actually teared up when watching motiv's process and the reactions. I just genuinely think that out of all the teams, they showed their country the best to where if I wasn't from USA, I would still understand what they were trying to show with their performance.

Also, they posted the performance videos for the artist choreo challenge (the artist is saweetie), do you think you'll react that that separately as well?? Only if you have time obviously, it's fun to see your reactions to the performances without the mnet editing lol

I'm lik so in love with Danica and Vanessa lmao

heyitspf

i see more people doing the new mission for the artist choreo by motiv than echo tbh

I posted my comment really late last time, so I’ll try again and make sure to share the most important things I noticed. I was at the filming for both battles, and it was such a fun experience! Personally, I thought the first battle was a lot better than the second. First, all the judges actually give comments after every battle, but a lot of that gets cut from the final edit. Also, filming takes a long time because the international crew has to wait for translations before they can respond, so there’s a bit of a delay. During the first battle, Hanbin had a lot of trouble with the bottle,it kept landing on him (seriously, at least 10 times). Everyone was asking him to dance, but he didn’t. Before each battle, every crew actually performs, but those parts don’t get aired. For the second battle, some crews did the K-pop mission, while others did a shorter version of their mega crew performance. We also got to see special battles that weren’t included in the video. First Lip J vs. Yoongi, and then Logistix vs. the break dancer judge. Seeing Hanbin in person was unreal. He was standing just a meter away from me, and honestly, he’s the definition of perfection. He’s also super kind and tried to respond to everyone. Even though it looks quick on screen, the battles take about 5 hours to film. During the second battle, there was a girl in the audience who leaked the results of the first two rounds on Twitter. Because of that, they paused the recording for half an hour asking her to come forward. We almost had to leave before the end because of it. The winners of Stage Fighters were also in the audience for the second battle, and I was so happy about that!

For the Mega Crew Mission, my ranking was different from the judges. I mostly agreed with their comments, but not the weight they gave to certain things. 1. Bumsup: Amazing, nothing more to say. The theme was clear and the execution was on point. 2. Ojo Gang: Loved everything. The Japanese culture was well represented, and using their crew’s intro song was such a smart choice. My only issue was the lack of coherence between the different sections. 3. RH Tokyo: The video was amazing! I loved the tasteful color correction and the editing was so well done. But for me, the dancing was a bit lacking. It’s perfect for going viral, but not strong enough for a mega crew mission. 4. Motiv: I didn’t understand the message without explanations, and nothing really stood out to me. 5. AG Squad: Good ideas, but the video looked amateurish. The transitions felt cringy to me, and the dancing came across as a bit messy.

I completely agree, that was my ranking as well ✨

wow! thank u so much for sharing your experience with us! this is really cool! the performances before the battle was probably a way of thanks to the audience that line up to watch live which if so, that is awesome and thoughtful! so jealous of seeing hanbin right now lol

ibuki said in one of her lives that japan was originally supposed to have only one crew, but in the end there were two. she didn't reveal the reason but imagine a japanese crew with strong battleres like ibuki & Kyoka and top choreographers like rie hata , ruu and minami, it would be the strongest crew in this show for sure and mnet probably wouldn't like that🫢 i think a lot of people didn't expect rhtokyo to be eliminated before ojogang (imo not even mnet themselves). i feel like the reason ojogang became so popular (i think it's the first time a street dance crew being more popular than the more 'choreo-based' crews in this franchise, yeah and the show is called street woman fighter 🙂) – is because of the way mnet evil edited them in the earlier episodes, and their robbery during the no respect battle especially with kyoka, koreans started digging up her old battle videos and discovering what real street dance is like outsideof the show. With all the drama-heavy editing, it kinda backfired mnet and ended up hurting rhtokyo because wdym the difference in views between their video with agsquad's is just 200k, but their likes are so low, like really low. it just hurts me because all the dancers shouldn't be getting all this hates over some evil edits, when in reality they are all chill with each other.

for the elimination battles! i remember in season 1 that coca and butter did a clean sweep of 3 rounds against wayb(?). i haven't seen anything like that in any of the later seasons though
