Sorry this is a bit late than normal guys. I added like 1.5 hours worth of commentary so it took pretty long to edit 😅 Also pardon my voice - my throat's been itchy so I'm coughing here and there and had to really soften my voice. Was gonna film and check out some kdrama pilots today but I think I'm gonna rest my throat/voice.

Tbh I liked the ALL STAR Performance Plot Twist more and a lot of other people feel the same. Nians part was way better than Sanghyeon (idk but Nian delivered it with his dance and Sanghyeon with his visual and cuteness) In One Star Kang Woojin stood out to me the most and he did so well and he's rising high a lot of people want him to debut. But yeah it was obvious who will gonna win even though Li Yu lost against Hyunjun. _______________ ALL STAR - S-CLASS (Kangmin, Junmin Team) ALL STAR - Plot Twist (Nian, Xin Long, YunSeo Team) 2 Star - Rising Sun (Team Hengyu, Harry June etc..) 2 STAR - Kill the Romeo (Suren, Sen, Li Zihao Team) ALL STAR - Whiplash Team Those were my Favorite stages So funny how Sangwon was smirking as the Giselle part came and everyone went crazy over it. I agree with you Jeff, I'm still on the first team btw lol. But I def agree that Yichen had good reasons for leaving, he just didn't inform the leader which he should have. Lowkey I think, they always wanted Liyu as the center regardless so it was just another reason for them to take the center part away and give it to him. I hate to say it but thats the way it came off to me.

hey so this doesnt have to change ur mind on geonwoo or anything but this is just to clear things up! basically the person who exposed geonwoo just got exposed on twitter & they were behind multiple hate campaigns for wonyoung and even had to go to court for harassing her, maybe they might have some mental problems but they even said if geonwoo went abroad they’d “get a gn and kll him”?? also they called themself his personal sojang & sojang was someone who spread false rumours about wonyoung so like that kinda mixes up things??? they also claimed they went to a psychiatrist bc of him when they’d actually been going to one years before even training with him plus park hanbin + another idol who’ve worked with him have defended him. and from geonwoo’s statement it sounds like most of it was false or super exaggerated and the only thing he admitted to was being a strict leader and harsh at times but thats not rlly the same as being a bully😭 kinda like how garam apologized even tho she was innocent

Harry june was the one with 84 points in Rising Sun who lost individually though the team won, the leader of the other team won!! I can't believe how underrated he is..just feels like people are not appreciating talent..at this point it's just a popularity contest. there are people in top 8 that shouldn't be there!! Sorry if this might hurt some fans but there are way more talented people who are not getting the attention they deserve! It just breaks my heart to see Harry not being appreciated coz he deserves to be.

Sangwoon fancam is sooooo much. Truly another level. He killed this soooo much. Right now it has more than 1.5million views. It is that good. And overall this team was amazing, I think everyone did an amazing work. Leo and that voice is amazing too.

Honestly, I really want Harry June in the group. In terms of overall potential, I think he’s the best choice for the main dancer position, his dancing is amazing, and he can also choreograph. But compared to, for example, Yumeki, Harry June also has great vocals and can rap too. He’s truly an all-rounder

I don’t know if anyone cares, but after all the performances, this is my Top 8: -Sun Hengyu -Han Harry June (please watch his fancam the body control is insane) -Lee Leo -Zhou Anxin -Lee Sangwon -Kim Junmin -Chen Kai Wen (I think they could all pull off the same concept, they really fit in the same genre together. Maybe I also picked them based on the concepts I like, haha… you can definitely see that in my picks) -Still not sure about my 8th pick yet,there are a few trainees I really like and would love to see make it far. Potential picks for my last spot: He Xinlong, Jung Hyunjun, Kang Woojin, Park Donggyu, Yoo Kangmin. I also really love Kim Taejo and Yeom Yechan because I loved their audition, it was just so fun! I really hope they can debut somewhere, preferably with a concept like their hip performance. Yang Heuichan also stands out to me, he was a great leader for Kill the Romeo, and his killing part… wow, his charisma! And I think we haven’t really seen much of Seo Won in B2P so far. He hasn’t gotten a lot of screentime, but I loved him so much in Season 1, so I hope he gets a chance to show more here.

Chuei Liyu impressed me. If he continues to improve, I won't be mad when he's inevitably in the group. But man, Chung Sang Hyeon.. He's an okay idol rapper. That's all I'll say. My lineup right now if I'm just choosing my favorites: 1) Lee Sang Won 2) Zhou An Xin 3) Lee Leo 4) Nian Bo Heng 5) Zhang Jia Hao 6) Yeom Ye Chan - my poor boy crying this ep T_T 7) Park Dong Gyu - I would actually have him sing instead of rap, His rap is good 8) Chen Bowen Honorable: Chen Kai Wen, Sun Heng Yu, Noh Hui Jun, Na Yun Seo, He Xin Long, Jung Hyun Jun I actually like Kim Geonwoo. I just need a performance where we get to just hear him just sing. I hate that they made him main rapper. His rap was meh (once again, I have high standards for idols who choose to rap. Since gen 2. We either have T.O.P formerly of Big Bang, or we have Taecyeon of 2PM. I love 2PM, Taecyeon is an idol rapper. He tried freestyling once on Let's Go Dream Team. I had so much 2nd hand embarrassment haha)

thank you for your kind words and compliment to woojin jeff, so happy that we got same thoughts abt the plot twist one star performance !! but fun fact: first mission was filmed even before ep 1 airs hence woojin is not really popular during pre show and when the first mission was filmed, he only get a lot of supporters when ep.1 airs bc of his audition which got viral so him winning the 1v1 battle (with 2nd highest score overall in both plot twist performance) was very unexpected to us his pre-show fans 😹 so happy that the live audience recognized his talents, that they voted for him even when he was a nugu to them at that time 🥲

Yeah that’s what in waiting for too. Like he’s made it to my Top 15, but not the Top 8 because there are just people who feel more rounded. I was really hoping he would serve in Whiplash - and it was decent but felt a little 2D to me. Pretty high quality 2D - but still 2D. Plus. It’s likely MNET’s fault that we haven’t seen personality from him but having no basis, it’s so hard to judge.

The survival announcement was not actually an announcement per se. They just let us know who the 4 people in danger of going home were and we had a live vote to save one of them. Rumours are abundant but nobody knows for sure who the eliminated trainees are. As for this episode. I think I liked the Rising Sun Team 1 performance the most. But it was the Whiplash Team 1 performance that really confused me. The judges edit was weird. The teasers had stuff that never got shown but clearly happened. So I watched the fancams to see if it was the edit and I will say - every member served so much c*nt that didn’t get fully showcased in the edit. Like Yumeki was unbelievable. Leo and Sangwon were even better than shown. Even Yoon Min in certain sections was so much better. No idea why it didn’t translate on stage. Perhaps it was the black (outfits) on black (background)? Who knows really. Might have just been the very high expectations on everyone. As for the people who I’d like to see get more screen time. Harry June is a big one. He seems like just a good bloke and has no storyline. But at least he has an existing group so I’m not going to cry about it. But the main one… It’s Jia Hao. He and Anxin are clearly close. I’d like go see more of them together because I think it could be Final 8 material. In other news.. I was your 69th like on this video. Juvenile to notice and even more juvenile to point it out. But hey, it made it laugh.

Just want to say something and clear things up about Geonwoo since intl people still refuse to keep up (Don't worry, this is not directed at you!). The person who claimed that Geonwoo bullied them was exposed on Twitter. They were in charge of hate campaigns for groups specifically in survival shows and Centers/Popular trainees like Wonyoung from Ive and Kang Daniel. They even had to go to court because of the harrasement they gave specifically Wonyoung. They also mentioned that if Geonwoo flys intl, they will quote on quote “get a g*n and k*ll him.” They also mention that they went to therapy because of his actions yet was found out that they were in therapy for years before they claimed this. A lot of Koreans knew about this news a while ago but intl voters are still being blind or choosing not to do their research because they already decided that they don’t like him. People like Park Hanbin from Evnne and trainees that have worked with Geonwoo are defending him as well. People seem to forget that an apology in the Kpop world isn’t an admission of guilt or always justified. Lucas and Garam apologized and they were innocent. Seunghan had to apologize for having a girlfriend. Please don’t hate on him and look at the things this person has been spewing towards Geonwoo and you’ll see who the real bully is.

I’m so happy with the performances these past 2 episodes! I was able to see some trainees highlighted that we didn’t get to see before but it also makes me sad knowing that some of them will go home because they are not as popular. I will say that the line distribution in Whiplash was not the best (to me); not the trainees fault obviously but a little sucky for some of the sub vocals. In the original multiple of the girls were able to be highlighted during the chorus but in this version it was only the center. I hope that everyone voting starts to take in account making a balanced group performance wise (vocals, dance and rap) vs just visuals because I’m a little worried… Excited to see future episodes with you! I hope you start feeling better soon!

Honestly, I really liked all stars plot twist team better. It just sounded much more strong and cohesive with the vocals and dance😭 for the 1 star team, it was fine, like I really liked some vocals! But unfortunately, liyu's vocals as the center really didn't help. I like that he is trying, but his vocals to me are just so nasally sounding, it didn't suit the song. Also, apparently some people saw yichen with some other teams with Chinese members, so they feel like yichen went away to help translate, especially since he is fluent in Korean and Chinese. I just wish mnet actually showed his side of the story! For rising sun teams, I really feel like Jiang fan was so good, like omg😭 I hope he didn't get eliminated like 2 days ago, he has much more to show! It's a shame that the main vocal yusen didn't do well in the first high note, and the last high note though. If he was able to get the last high note, who knows maybe the playing field would've been more even...?? Idk. For the other rising stars team, they were so good!! I can see why they won! It's a shame that the guy's voice cracked or whatever on that first high note, but I'm so glad everything else went well! For kill the Romeo teams, the 1 star team did their best for sure, but it was hard for sure. I feel like sho wanting to be main rapper worked against him by a lot, especially with hat height difference, and with his voice. His voice sounded to nasally/high to me, it threw me off. I didn't understand what the leader was talking about last week when he said that sho is too short to be main rapper, but now I get it.... For zhongxing, it's a shame that he's getting evil edited like this. I can't remember which parts, but I do believe seeing a post about how mnet mistranslated parts of what he said in Chinese to Korean. (Which means that the eng subs are slightly off) I wish I was much more fluent in Chinese so I can be sure, but I'm not🚶🏻‍♀️(if that's true though, then the mistranslations is definitely getting a weird look from me) For the 2 star kill the Romeo, they were so good!! When the fancams cam out, I legit found myself watching all their fancams repeatedly for a good 30 mins honestly 🤣 Junho's vocals are so good, he honestly went up to my potentials list for voting! I just need to figure out who I wanna swap him with loll. Gonna be hard now that we can only vote for 4 people when the next voting starts. (I really really hope junho didn't get eliminated, cause if he does.... I'll be sad. I heard that junho apparently used to be an sm trainee....?? I briefly saw that on my Twitter tl) I also really liked suren's (silver hair) vocals! Ive been voting him, so I really hope he stays in the competition 🥹🤞🏻 For whiplash performances, they were both fine, but I did like all stars better. Not because I liked more people there, it's cause they genuinely performed better in my opinion. I don't get why the scores were so close like that though, I feel like it was played up for drama...?? Idk. Cause while I liked 1 star whiplash as well, it just wasn't as standout ish to me. Honestly, it might have been the costumes, since that threw me off briefly. For all star whiplash, everyone did well! I feel like it's unfortunate that none of anxin's parts shown in the trailer for this episode weren't shown. Cause the last ep showed anxin cracking up a little when doing his high notes, when when that came out he received a hate train. But when the fancams came out, he obviously did good. None of that wasn't shown in the ep which made me confused, but oh well. It was so cute to see anxin making funny faces to try to cheer sangwon up😭 I could tell that he is an older brother for sure! For geonwoo, while he has been apparently proven innocent, for me personally he just hasn't been standing out to me as much anyways. I did like his intro to whiplash though, he did good there. Some people were talking about how if all the allegations are false, he should be able to say that or something like that.... Don't know though. Maybe he'll be able to say more, idk how that'll work. He isn't in my lineup personally though. I feel like people should be more outspoken about siwan (the main rapper from all star s-class) though, since he has sa allegations which are more credible from what I'm seeing. Honestly, I just wished that all star plot twist won😭 that is probably the only 1v1 battle results that I disagree on for sure! Especially when it's clear that the voters voted based on visuals, not talent for those performances.

My top 8 is probably Anxin (obviously) Sangwon (obviously) Xinlong (I've been rooting for him, especially since I've followed boy story for a while! He can sing, rap, and dance, like aksks) Woojin (I want him in the group, his vocals, aksks) Sanghyeon (obviously. I honestly can see why people vote for him now, I liked his part in plot twist) Kangmin (he is so talented) Donggyu (one of my main picks ever since the first episode!!) Nian (I just loved his voice, like omg. Him and xinlong could definitely have some good moments if they are in the group) *Oh, and hengyu, aksk can't believe I forgot him😭 I feel like if mnet only wants 2 debuted idols, they honestly might go with xinlong. They don't seem to be favoring the verivery members as much, but I do still hope that kangmin and xinlong both get in Honorable mentions would be: junho (since I don't know if he's safe), Leo (I've been switching him with donggyu a lot, I hope donggyu goes for vocals in the next mission), suren (idk if he's safe as well😭), sen, Chen kaiwen, and fan zheyi!

It turns out that the reason why Yichan kept leaving is because he’s Chinese, and he was constantly being called to translate for the other Chinese contestants. From what I understand, everybody was aware of this and that this is just a little bit of MNET’s evil editing. It’s hard to say who my top eight are right now but so far I have 1 Lee Leo- main vocal 2 Lee Sangwon- center 3. Zhang Jiahao main dancer 4. Xinlong- rap, dance 5. An Xin- vocal The rest are up for grabs, I can’t decide as there are a few that I like

What controversy though? He's innocent. Should Geonwoo have to suffer because someone decided to ruin his life and now people won't vote because someone made up lies that he could not control? Very disappointing take. It's fine if he's not in your lineup since we all have are favorites, but to say you don't want him top debut because of things out of his control is a little wrong in my opinion.

Jeff, you have to know that the rapper in whiplash first team is the best rapper I've seen so far in the show.. he was the main rapper of the highlighted rappers in the signal song... I think Mnet just doesn't like him because he can do all... Singing, rapping, and dancing.. you have to watch his first performance, when he got cut!!!! The same thing goes to chingyu. If you notice, they only have a screen time on their part... That made me mad 😡.

it's interesting that you prefered plot twist team 1's high notes (sorry I don't remember the name of the trainee) over Haneum's. I much prefered Haneum's high note, I also have no knowledge in singing so maybe that's why I could not see the flaws lmao. I had no idea it wasn't super amazing because it sounded great to me and I love his vocal tone hahaha. But yeah altought I like more trainees in plot twist team 2 I can't deny that team 1 deserved the win! I feel like it went down to team 2 having a lot of "star quality" and impressive visuals.

By the way Jeff. I really think it is weird how the editing tries to portray zhong Xing as talentless when he is obviously not. As a rapper he sang well during the signal song audition but they bashed him. He also performed his lines well in kill the Romeo but the judges comments are about his vocals being bad. Mind you the other members of the team had lots of cracks. I feel bad for him because yes he is not the best team player but you can also see that he is so tired. He probably was expecting to be in the C group like the show advertised only to be put here. It’s also annoying how there are no Chinese judges. How I miss when china used to do survival shows. You should watch some of them. I still love Zhong Xing. I don’t see why they always try to humble confident trainees. BTW this does not mean he is perfect.

quite a few contestants are experienced idols and apart of a debuted group, i don't agree at all that Harry June has become a background dancer. He is being apart of a team and for the fans who already knew him & DKB coming into watching this show, I think most of us would agree he is one of the top few standing out.

ohh damnn now i’m even more bitter that we didn’t get yichen’s side of the story. cause if that was the case (translating) then it’s a pretty human reason. at the same time, i can see where his kindness may have also compromised him in his group because his group should be priority. overall mnet should really be providing translators in these shows. they do so many global shows nowadays like it’s TIME. ya the scores on whiplash did not need to be that close 🫢 definitely played up for suspense

Now that I've seen your reaction I have to say, the editing is getting tired. The same backstory for all groups?? Even Whiplash all-star team gets a sob story when we get no actual criticism other than doing more for the killing part. They fully won in the interim check (only group it seems) and it's not even shown?? I feel like this editing has taken all the fun out of the actual show. No fun interactions or healthy competition, everything seems rushed, the reactions seem mismatched or fake... When they showed people cheering for Yusen's off key high note I lost it lol.

Here’s the latest update on the situation with Gunwoo, Jeff pls read. Gunwoo was a strict leader, but he never bullied anyone. As the “victim” themselves mentioned in their accusation, Gunwoo never bullied anyone either verbally or physically. The accuser had also been seeing a psychologist long before meeting Gunwoo. A couple of days ago, the “victim” restored their account, wished death upon Gunwoo, and promised to become his hater like Sojang (Sojang is a famous hater of Wonyoung Ive) and then deleted the account again. That YiChen storyline of him not being a hard worker is so bogus. He's kind of famous for how strict he was on practice time and quality when he was on another show. It went viral and was meme'd. So dumb. He's more of rapper with performance charisma so I hope he gets a part later with rap and lower tones. He's a variety show type personality so I can't wait for the sports or variety show type episode they normally do.

My picks since the start of the show are: Andrew He Xin Long Lee Leo Lee Sang Won Hsu Ching Yu Sun Heng Yu Kim Jun Min Yoo Kang Min I must say that since they decided to merge the groups it should've been at leat a 9 or 11 memebered group (a girl can only dream....) My 9th pick is Jiang Fan and 10th is Harry June (ONLY because I would like to see him in DKB doing DKB stuff hahahaha) But yeah the editing is wack as fuuu and people are only now seeing other talented trainees that have been hidden for 5!!! Episodes!!! for example Andrew he went viral with his intro in Rising Sun but the voting closed really soon after uploading all fancams (if they uploaded them earlier he would have a better chance of survival because a lot of rumors are going around and if those rumors are true then I don't have many hope for the debut line-up) EDIT: I also agree with you on the "protecting your mind" comment, because that's what I'm currently going through. A lot of auditions were not shown or higlighted (e.g. with Andrew) and many others and only after these performances some went viral but will possibly not make it because of MNET and their rigged system. I am personally a fan of TALENT in groups and that's what I am looking for and in this show literally EVERYONE is visual material, however since MNET already decided who they want to debut they are manipulating the viewers and rigging the system and many trainees can't showcase their talent e.g. Jiang Fan he was AMAZING with his 8 second line in Rising Sun, but he only got highlighted when he cried -_- why didn't they show his dancing skills etc. And honestly I am scared of all the rumors, because if they are all true then the debut line-up will be handsome yeah but talent? I dunno.... and if it is the line-up I think they will debut then I will lose all interest in survival shows after this, because I was TRAUMATIZED after X1 (I miss them so much!!) and don't want to get too involved and emotional with voting again because of the whole issue that happenend and because MNET is clearly showing we don't matter as long as they get what they want... If a lot of talented trainees are eliminated then I will stop voting as well because MNET does what MNET wants. I will still support you and watch the show, but I will lose all hope and will be dissapointed even though I will support the group, but it will not be the same. Sorry for my rant

Oh by the way Jeff, on your comment "I've never seen this song danced by more people than 2" I can give you a perfect scenario where you did watch it haha >> TOO covered it on Road To Kingdom and for me Team 1 here and TOO's cover are the best ones I have seen in all these years (I have been a fan since TVXQ debuted so I have seen many covers), And also the mv for rising sun is with the OG line-up of TVXQ (JaeJoong was a member, and he was also a special mentor in the C episodes) So maybe you can check that out ^_^ (The way u are, O, Purple Line and Wrong Number can be songs you can check out of TVXQ in a throwback episode hehehe ZB1 also covered TVXQ's The Way U Are on Immortal Song so maybe you can check out everything and after that, look at the Immortal Song covers)

Hey Jeff, I've been watching Win-plash's multiple performances and would love to hear your more experienced commentary on it, if you're interested in creating a video. I noticed that as I watched the show performance and the Choom and MNET performances by the group, the performance aspect seemed to improve with each successive video (maybe because they were more comfortable or the camera angles were better?). Anyway, I can't tell if the dancing is also getting better and contributing to that, but I'd love to hear your analysis of the three videos and the differences or growth of the boys for those performances if you're interested and have time. You can also see some of the boys, other than Sangwon, a bit better in places since it wasn't hyper-focused on close-up shots, especially for the MNET performance. I know you've not been feeling well with your voice lately, though, so don't feel pressured if it'll just stress you out or your voice. Love the reactions! I learn so much, and it helps pay attention to more contestants that don't get proper coverage. I'm looking forward to the next one.

I know you’ve been checking out and the Whiplash fancams but I highly recommend checking out Harry-June’s fancam from the rising sun team 1. I was completely floored by how much stage presence he has. Wonjun was another big standout to me (the guy you kept pointing out) this episode and of-course Andrew and Junil too. All my zero screentime baddies 😭💖
