Sorry this is later than normal guys. I usually have to compress files to make them smaller and easier to edit and eventually upload but I had a tech issue where my program didn't fully convert the file(s). And it wasn't like something that you'd know right away so I had to wait an hour each time I tried something different. Nothing worked so I eventually had to buy a new converter 😔

Like Jennie was great but I hated the camerawork..the choreo was so good and I felt I could hardly see the choreo since the camera was shaking too much. The choreo was top tier. It was a concert. Wish there is a steady cam footage to see the full choreo properly. Harry June did a great job in making the choreography and leading the team and I am upset Mnet gave him like only a few seconds of screentime. Mnet is really trying to hide Harry as if showing him means they are scared he would get more votes and replace whoever they have in mind for the final lineup. Harry is just too good to give Mnet any material to evil edit him which is why they went on to their next strategy which is to cut his screentime! Mnet is pissing me off. They even gave Harry the simplest outfit. Of course Harry looked great in it but it shows Mnet is trying to chuck him aside! At least give the man a good costume! I was glad to see Baek Kooyoung at least acknowledge Harry and praise him coz boy deserves it and Mnet is really trying to hide him!

Junmin trained at Big Hit for awhile and took some dance classes at a special SM Training event. He's not just top 4 material - he was in the top 4. Sangwon and Leo have known him for awhile, hence why they are usually the ones complimenting him or talking about him during reactions. I hope he survives this show too.

I agree. I don't like the visual aspect of kpop but since it's there I want people to vote for someone with both talent and visual but giving more importance to visuals than talent is not the way to go. Talent should be prioritized more and if you are not gonna do that then at least give it equal importance as visual!

the hot perforce was AMAZING!!!!! I thing why Nian got so low bcs at that time there were allegations against him but quickly were proven false (so glam omg) and also I heard ppl there (knetz) didn't really like how he kind of called them out in his rap and also Li Zihao omg my boy deserves BETTER!!!! also I hooope Na Yunseo debuts already😭 knowing him since 2021 and since then he was so talented and what's really impressive is that even tho he's been training so long, this is also his I think second survival show and he still has the energy to keep going, his great mindset is just admirable and I hope this industry will never change him and he will still be thus happy ball of positive energy🥹🙏🏻 also yeah EVERYONE from like Jenny performance ATE and the points were once again disappointing (I swear ppl there are blind, deaf and don't know shit)

Lol, this ep was much more fun to watch🤣 people think that the c planet editor came back Xinlong was so cute when he saw stray kids lalala🤣 I think I heard kaiwen saying "long ge" as well which was cute! Also, the fact that xinlong let geonwoo have the leader position, since he felt that it would be unfair voting wise, since everyone else is from planet c. I'm glad he got the killing part though! (AKSKS when they used the lalala team as the cliffhanger, I almost yelled at my computer loll) something funny is that people are theorizing that yechan and yichan decided to create drama to appear on the broadcast😭 (I heard that they both were on the survival show, project7 actually) Oh man, I honestly could understand where donggyu was coming from when he asked if Junseo and masato can reconsider. Cause the other two are so high up, and are in the top 8, while he is much lower. I can understand why he wanted the killing part, since it can both help him hopefully with his popularity. Also, since Junseo and masato are that high up, in a way it technically wouldn't have "mattered" if they weren't center..?? Idk if that makes sense, but basically their fans would definitely still vote for them and etc. but I'm glad that donggyu spoke up for himself at that moment, even if he must've felt awkward and etc The XXL team was a lot better than what I thought it would be lmaoo! I genuinely didn't know that yunseo could choreograph, so I was glad to find that out! And then as someone who noticed artic from the dance battles, I was so glad to get to know him a bit more! I feel like he did a good job as leader, especially considering the fact that the other two are Chinese, and he had to use English which didn't seem to be his first language. And then yunseo talking about how knowing mnet, this isn't good was so so funny🤣 Their final performance was so cute!! The hot team was fun to watch, especially the part where zhongxing became leader, and when zihao was rapping with everyone watching 😭 (sidenote, someone on sns said that they think that the hot team did well is because leejeong didnt give up on zhongxing, he instead made an effort to at least try) Also, I honestly can't help but feel bad for zhongxing, since from the start this wasn't really what he signed up for, which is clearly why he wanted to leave the show. (In terms of him thinking it was gonna be a Chinese group and etc) He has definitely been through a lot with mnet's editing and etc, and he does mention it in his rap lyrics. Honestly, if he truly wants to go, mnet should let him. I don't get why they didn't let him leave. He looks so tired, and he clearly does know about the editing mnet has done, especially with the more recent one being mnet mistranslating parts of his argument from kill the Romeo. (Cause the teammate he was arguing with went live on Weibo, and he talked about how it really wasn't that serious. Everyone was tired, and it happened in the heat of the moment, but afterwards, they were all good) *I'll be honest, I don't get why leejeong got more votes though. I can't help but feel like it has something to do with the fact that he is the only Korean one that team though. I will say, zihao's raps moved me the most I'd say, since he talks about how people not liking him, be it for his visual or whatever and etc. Like I feel like his mindset is really good, and I was happy to see it. And then nian mentioning jack, aksk omg I low key wish we could've seen more of how Harry June (and I think hyunjun as well) created the choreo for like jenny, the choreo was good! I feel like he unfortunately didn't get edits, when he was the leader, and choreographed stuff. Idk, I would've liked to have seen at least 5 mins on the process of that, since it is a dance team, vs the storyline that mnet ended up going with.

I feel like Junmin is gonna rise in the ranks and MNET wants him to debut. I'm glad he has a story arc this episode. Yunseo is such a wonder kid. Some people think he's too young to debut here, and i get it, but you can't deny that he's one of the most talented and skilled in this group. I was hoping we could get LALALA but being the cliffhanger is a good sign! i just can't wait to watch Xinlong slay. LOL. And yes, i kind of changed my lineup a little bit after this episode ;). It's just so frustrating that you can only choose a few people...

Actually, I heard that the nian stuff happened a few hours after the episode aired. I heard that nian fans were on a rollercoaster of emotions since the rumors popped up, and then in less than 24 hrs or so, they got debunked by neitizens, when the screenshots and proof that they used didn't match up with the times, the formatting, and the overall timing of how old nian was and etc. It sucks that people keep trying to spread rumors and etc, since this happened 3 times by now...🥲

Oh my gosh I thought I was the only one that felt that way. The camera work and their choice of when to cut to the reactions was absolutely atrocious. It totally took away from the flow of their choreography and made it seem less impressive. I was also disappointed in how little they showed the creative process. If the competition was creating a choreography, then they should’ve shown more of that process. You can totally feel their bias based on what storyline they choose to go with.

I don’t think my ideal Top 8 has changed after this episode. But it has cemented it a lot more. If I had my way, the top 8 would be: Leo Sangwon Anxin Jia Hao Junseo Junmin Kangmin Harry June And if they’d be so kind to add a 9th, it would be Xin Long I vote Leo every time and vote 4 one day and the other 4 the next.

There was so much insightful analysis and anecdotes from you this episode, this is definitely why I became a member. Thanks for your hard work, Jeff! I definitely agree that visuals alone won't hold up once an idol debuts, not with the saturation of good lookers who are also talented in the scene. It's unfortunate that so much screen time is given to drama and "stories", because even though we are approaching the second elimination, I still feel like I haven't seen what most of the trainees are really capable of. I personally loved the Like Jennie team the most. Hopefully, going forward, we'll also get to see more of their singing and rapping skills.

I’m loving seeing these position battles! It gives more screen time to all the talent that we have this season and to see their interpretations of the songs. My only gripe, which others have said but needs to be restated, is that the Like Jennie camera work was so unfair. Clearly Mnet wants Junmin now or at least they are pushing for him more. But it’s also so frustrating that we only got his story, his interviews and his comments from the judges… I know not everyone can make the final group but I wish we could’ve seen more of their creative process for the choreo or the practice especially since the main challenge for the dance position was the choreo. During the performance they would pan to Junmin when another trainee was performing. I do love him & I think he may be one of the 8 but I just wish Mnet found a way to be less blatantly biased. I do think they were more balanced for XXL and Hot but I also think that’s because Mnet are not pushing for those trainees as much. I’m so excited for next week’s episode!

I’m one of those people where once mnet pushes HARD for a trainee I get the ICK badly. Not that I was voting for Junmin anyways but he definitely isn’t gonna get a future one from me. Even the camerawork for the LIKE JENNIE performance favored him and would zoom out while it was someone else’s turn or show him instead of who was in the center. It was just way, way, way too much. My poor Chingyu 😫 I’ll be shocked if he makes it through the next elimination since he’s had no screentime or storyline. 5 pick: 1) Chingyu (one pick) 2) Leo 3) Sangwon 4) Woojin 5) Arctic

You know, I was watcing a youtube reaction of boys planet 2, where they were former trainees from produce 101 season 2! (they made it to the finale i think, its kenta and taehyun I think. they were apart of JBJ) They actually revealed and kept mentioning the fact that the interim check for their season of Produce was literally only 4-5 or so hours... and I think they mentioned that it might be the same for boys planet.... like if that is true for this season as well, then I find that so unfair. To be judged on 4-5 hours of work, and get criticized about how you're not doing well, etc, is not fair at all! And as you mentioned in several of your reactions, there are different learning curves! Sigh, that is just really unfortunate. And then I accidentally edited it out from one of my earlier comments, but I also wish that the like Jennie editing was better. I know you liked the reactions and found the editing better, but for some reason, it felt kind of weird to me. It might be because Mnet focused on Junmin, and so they wanted to show him a bit?? idk. (not complaining, just something I noticed) I also wished that Mnet showed at least 5 mins of Harry June making the choreography... cause if it's a dance group, and the main thing is that you have to make your own choreo.... why are we not showing the process😭 but maybe this is just a me thing.... not sure.

I used to be a big Eminem fan and the fact that Nian Boheng took a short portion of his rap flow from The Real Slim Shady tickles my brain so much haha. He definitely didn't deserve such a low score 🫠

Everyone at JYPE, from Stray Kids, ITZY (Lia even uploaded a video of them practicing together), and Lily of Nmixx, has given a shout-out to Xinlong and Zihao. I would be flexing,I know all those people if I were them. They have videos with everyone. I want to see if this Tambourine will come close to NEXZ's choreography. The scores didn't make sense for HOT. Nian Bo Heng and Zihao got robbed.

Hi Jeff. Actually I’ve been thinking this for a while - but Junmin reminds me of Moonbin. Just something about his face reminds me of him. Anyway he has had my vote since the start - I genuinely hope he debuts in the group. I’m just hoping Kangmin gets more screen time next week as he’s my number one. Gotta vote for Moonbin and sanhas little bro - they adored him so I will support him. I also know what a cutie sweetheart he is and I’m getting over Mnets slight evil edit. He also has had no storyline or much screen time - like why did we get nothing on his hurt arm and how much he would have had to overcome to dance with an injured arm. His rank keeps dropping and I’m getting annoyed. I wish I didn’t like survival shows so much and get so attached - would be so much easier to not watch or care 😬.

IMO, I feel that Lee Jung get the highest cos of him exceeding expectations - the audience likely knew he was a vocalist and so the bar wasn't very high. So when Lee Jung performed, many people (apparently) were like "damn..he can rap too? I'll vote for him". I do agree that Bo Heng deserves a way higher score than that. But then again this is only the live audience vote.

The level of all this performances are sooo goood...like damn And I can't wait for next week performances, specially lalala, just with that intro shot of geonwoo and xinlong....it looks like it will be crazy good Also about yoonmin, I have know him since LOUD, he actually made the line up for the jyp group (now kickflip) but they just took like almost 4 years to debut so he left the team before debut. But he is such an acee, vocals are crazy, he can also rap, dance and produce based on his loud performances, so I'm really glad he is able to show his vocals next episode

Yunseo is such an allrounder vocal, dance and he can definitely rap too created a choreography while hes 2010 with Arctic whos born2008 they did great. So much respect to those two. Also.. Yunseo has a bright future I can definitely see that! Also love how Kany is supportive towards Jun Min she's definitely voting for him everyday xD but obviously can't say it, her favorite trainee is Jun Min <3 I added Jun Min in lineup now tbh. Its sad that Nian got low score he got the killing part + writing his own rap etc.. 😪 Also there was a new scandal around him which in few hours got proved wrong xD Mnet really try wanna keep Zhongxing in this program this guy showed that he doesnt want to be in there anymore.. he feels the pressure and just wanna be free from the evil editing he gets, but then he should have talked with that in the group instead of saying bye to them and leaving the room, unfair to to the rest of the team and I totally understand why Leejeong was angry at this point. Leejeong won by his visuals xD Nian is sadly two star... hope he still is in the TOP24 Mnet really wanna keep Masato in the lineup 😒 His rank didn't changed at all stayed in rank 8, like show us if he made to rank 7 or rank 9

I was smiling through the whole ‘Like Jenny’ performance, Junmin, Harry and Sangwon in one team like helloooo :))))) Finally Junmin is getting some screentime and a storyline, I really hope this pushes votes for him! But seriously Mnet, why are you acting like Harry doesn’t exist?? Give him the screentime and credit he deserves. Huge props to him too for the choreo and the fair line distribution, everyone got to shine at some point… sadly the camerawork was kind of bad and it really threw me off for some parts. And don’t even get me started on Chingyu and Hyunjun, they’re amazing dancers and Mnet just straight up edited them out. So unfair and honestly ridiculous at this point. As much as I loved the performance and that Junmin finally got his screentime, I really wish we got to see more from the others too and not only about him, which obviously isn’t his fault but Mnet’s. Also off topic, but I really love the outfits… not just for the stage, but if people wore those outfits in the streets, especially the ones worn by Sangwon and Hyunjun, I’d totally stan

I think it’s really unfair that Jun Min is receiving a lot of hate simply because Mnet chose to give him screentime and a story arc. The trainees themselves have no control over how much they are shown — that’s entirely up to the editors. Directing hate toward him only because other favorites didn’t get screentime misses the bigger issue. There are also many other trainees, such as Park Junil, Kang Woojin, Haneum, and Donggyu, who have been almost completely overlooked in the edit. If we want to talk about fairness. we should acknowledge that the problem lies in Mnet’s selective editing, not in the trainees who happen to be highlighted. Blaming Jun Min for something outside of his control doesn’t help anyone and only spreads unnecessary negativity. The real conversation should be about how editing manipulates viewer perception and disadvantages many trainees, not tearing down the ones who happen to be shown.

This show is giving me way too many problems… like how am I supposed to vote when I just want to vote for almost all of them. I really hope so many of them debut in groups afterwards. Arctic? 100% group material. And like you said, Chingyu and Hyunjun match so well it would be everything to see them together. And I’d totally stan Sangwon and Junmin being in a group together too

I'm gonna say it now, Junmin would be the perfect center for the group. Sangwon can be the visual, but when Junmin is in the center, the entire energy of the group shifts, you can tell they're about to go crazy.

4-5 hours is insane!!! i fear it’s for evil editing. they probably learned that giving them 2 days is enough time for most trainees to do good so they shortened it. also i feel like they’re not doing a good edit on these performances so people watch the vids on youtube (fancams, full cam etc) and get more money there

Exactly, this is what I mean. It’s totally valid to be upset that Harry June and Hyunjun’s hard work wasn’t shown, people turning it into negativity. I also think that mnet wants jun min and Leejeong to debut, I can't predict the lineup anymore xD but I definitely have the feeling that Sangwon and Xin Long will make it into the group.

Every episode there is so much drama surrounding zhong xin, so I definitely can't see him in this group. Cause it's so much about blending into a group and working well in a group and with a group. It seems like he can't handle this kinda workload. Maybe it's just that he as a human is not really made for this industry and is not doing him any good mentally. And that's totally okay. That's my opinion I guess, of course we don't know what's really Really going on behind the scenes. With Junmin I really don't understand why his rank is so low. Maybe he's not really resonating with Korean audiences. I feel so bad... Also Jeff, your reactions are hilarious ahhhh😂😂 everytime I watch you it's like I get a shot of happiness

Yes that Astro reunion concert was so good but also really sad - how brave of them to do it - Altho they did say they cried a lot during the prep. I miss him a lot as well and now I miss Eunwoo too. Thankfully his drama wonder fools is coming up and his new album in Sept In the meantime I’m investing into this new group and hoping my faves end up in there so I can Stan and support. 🙏🏼

It would honestly be crazy if Sangwon doesn’t debut, I think it’s nearly impossible. I’ve never seen anyone dislike him like even people who don’t vote for him probably wouldn’t mind him being in the group. I’m not voting for him right now since I’m focusing on helping people like Junmin and Harry make it to further rounds, but I still think Sangwon absolutely needs to be in the final group because he has such a huge impact. And I mean… first place in 160 countries?? Unless something really big happens, I don’t see much changing for him

LONG RANT! For me if I consider: Visual, Star Quality, Variety Show Humor/Personality, Dance, Vocal and Perfomance quality I still think my top 8 would be perfect. This is also a group that would slay any big shot performance like MAMA 1. Lee Sang Won 2. Zhou An Xin 3. He Xin Long 4. Lee Leo 5. Hsu Ching Yu 6. Kim Jun Min 7. Xue Su Ren 8. Kim Jun Seo My number 8 often rotates with the ones here: 9. Nian Bo Heng 10. Li Zi Hao 11. Arctic 12 .Harry June 13. Yoo Kang Min Choosing only 5 people in this round is hard, because I want to vote for the lower ranked but also don't want to stop voting for the upper rank because I want them to stay put instead of not voting and that potentially being what makes them go down. Mnet has a way of getting what they want -_- Since my phone broke I can't vote until it's fixed so if someone agrees with me please vote for them!! I hope you can see my vision T_T Also the Zhong Xin situation is annoying me. He's making it clear that he doesn't want to be there and is basically forced to "work hard" because he's now too deep in the soup to quit. He would make a good solo artist but I don't see him in a group AT ALL. if he decided to leave earlier in the show then other contestants would've had a chance (for example Andrew and yes I'm still salty about that) His spot would have been for someone else who wants to be in a group and is not constantly creating drama. And yes the industry is hard (I'm an artist myself and know how hard and mentally challenging it could be) but if he doesn't change his mindset and makes the debut line up just for being the "sexy" guy he will slow down the group with that attitude. I think the audience voting system works per click. So let's say in the XXL group they had 4 members so each one has a number 1 Yun Seo, 2 Arctic and so on... so the audience chooses the member they want to vote for and then they keep pressuring the button (so multiple clicks on that button) and then the amount of presses and audience individuals is added and calculated into an average number. I could be wrong but this is what makes sense to me. I must say I think the audience forgets the "Alpha" concept of the show and so instead of voting for strong all rounders they vote for visuals only and forget that the show is forming a "group" they might as well just vote for a visual contest and make them actors instead of idols (being salty again)

I don’t know why but Junmin reminds me of my bias in Enhypen Jay. Maybe bcos of his fighting spirit or his stubborn but fluid movements, if that make sense, that makes me suddenly attracted to him in this eps just like how I make my mind to make Jay as my bias after I saw his fighting spirit in iland. Potential another bias here other than Dongyu😂

I think Ching Yu and Hyun Jun knocked Yumeki out of my top 5. Debating if they knocked out another person too. Dang! The moves. Plus they're not JUST good at dancing. I like their performance vibes too. I feel like I really need to still have more voting spots. XD Pretty sure my rapper spot is going to change in the next episode if it doesn't before then. Who is everyone's favorite rappers?

My thoughts on the score of Nian, the killing part of the HOT team, was that his rap and skill were flawless, but his voice was probably too low to listen to in the field. It's quite low even when we see it on video, but it would have been even lower to be hard to understand lyrics in the contest site where the acoustic environment is not very good. I think his charm point worked the unexpected bad point because I know that Nian's visual evaluation in Korea is not bad.. Just as there are many votes for abs or sexy points in past survival shows so far, the impression on the spot is ahead of the existing favorability sometimes..

I was reading that only some people in the audience got to vote. Something about only the first couple of rows got to vote and there was strategizing about who to vote for. Not sure if this is accurate but a few people who were there mentioned this. So this voting may not be an accurate depiction of what the entire audience thought about the contestants.. Junmin was at Hybe along with Sangwon, Leo and Park Junil, but he wasn’t part of Trainee A, like the other 3 I have concerns with He Zhongxing because he seems to want to be an idle but doesn’t want to do the hard work to be one. He seems to give up when things get tough, and things will only get tougher.

Warning: LOOONG post about ZhongXing (aka Mr Sexy) He ZhongXing is such a fascinating person to have on this show. I feel like normally, someone with his type of attitude would've been pushed aside a long time ago as being too arrogant and lazy (at least what is shown on screen) but there's just something about him that grabs your attention and makes you not want to look away. He kind of throws a wrench it what we and the Kpop industry expects an idol and trainee to behave/act like and its hilarious to watch the staff/mentors respond to him. As annoying as the producers seem to make him out to be on the show, he actually seems to be liked by the trainees, several eliminated trainees have spoken positively about him and came to his defenses. This is my theory on HZX and why he may be the way he is (this is just a guess). I think the whole "Mr Sexy" bit is a persona he's used as a mask to hide behind and cover up himself. There's been stories going around social media (idk how true they are) that he was basically scammed by his old company and forced to do work like dancing/performing at night clubs when he was in his late teens. And when he signed on to the show, the inital plan was to appear on Planet C, work with Chinese Trainees, debut in a group marketed towards China, only to the producers suddenly switch formats and them all being thrown in to Kpop and Kpop industry workings, it probably felt like he was being tricked again in to doing something he didn't sign up for. If that was the case, I think that may explain why he doesn't seem to like being told what to do by the mentors or staff, and doesn't trust the higher ups around him. In general, I think he has trouble trusting others, especially with his thoughts/feelings, which is probably why he had a hard time rehearsing in a group setting and keep pushing this "I'm sexy" mindset to avoid showing how he truly feels. And I'm sure all that gets mentally exhausting, hence why he LOOKS visibly tired and is constantly sleeping (he literally fell asleep during the elimination). Also compared to episode 1 till now, he looks drained and looks like he lost a lot of weight. Him suddenly wanting to leave I think stemmed from him probably feeling like he was backed in to a corner because he is aware of how the show is portraying him, the whole trying to leave situation seems fishy to me and MNET definitely didn't show the whole exchange, since it was behind closed doors, so they only clipped a few parts of him being like "I don't want to do this". I think in the end he still does want to perform and be on stage which is why he came back. But again, he tried to brush aside his reasons because again, he doesn't trust anyone and is worried how the show was going to portray him. I'm glad Lee Jeong stepped in, sat him down and basically told him "Hey, that's not cool. Are you ok? If you're going through something please let us know so we can help" and he approached the topic in a way that didn't seem confrontational or as if he was lecturing HZX. And despite the language barrier (also props to Zihao for being there to translate) he was able to get him to open up a bit. I think this was the most vulnerable HZX has shown himself to be and as a result, he seemed to grow more comfortable working with his team and pulled off a fantastic stage. Ultimately I don't think Kpop and a group through this show is for him, but he is hella entertaining to watch and fun to see how others respond to him. Definitely adds a chaos element to this show so I don't mind him continually being here.

This is super late but my favorite rappers on the show are yechan, Nian Bo Heng, and Tae Jo! I’m not sure if yechan or Tae Jo will make it past this elimination but Ive always been a rap bias girl (my ult if P1H Jongseob) and I 1000% think that Yechan is the best rapper on the show when it comes to like technical rap skill so I’m disappointed that he doesn’t get much screen time

I'm getting quite annoyed how that guy from Queencard team is 3rd place when he can't even hold a note?? There is no excuse for this except for lack of talent. He's not a vocalist and definitely not a rapper, so how is he 3rd I will never understand K-netz votes
