Omg 5 hours let me get some lunch and snacks for this lol

ashley

oohh 4 and half hours, seated for this

Flaze

I'm gonna rant before even watching. How did Woojin and Leo got the lowest votes in Vocal? Nian lowest in Rap? And Yumeki lowest in Dance? Either this show is rigged or the live audience forgot to bring their eyes and ears. This show is exhausting to watch...

A

SEATED i've been waiting for this bcs donggyu

CRTJ

wait for my rants later lol… let me enjoy this first and calm down 🤣 cuz people in the internet are pissing me off

Mariana

Not sure if you watch the survivor announcement ceremonies but Ateez's San appeared as a master! 👀

2nd mission on site scores still feel like a fever dream..

My Vocal unit ranking: 1. Breathe 2. Run to you 3. Queencard 4. Rose blossom I ranked Queencard in 3th place for the vocal position because, to me, Queencard isn’t really a song that highlights vocals. I think they could have chosen something else to showcase that aspect better. Don’t get me wrong—I love Queencard overall, and they performed it really well (definitely better than Rose Blossom in my opinion), but as a vocal position, it just doesn’t fit as strongly.Rose Blossom was pretty weak compared to the other vocal teams, though I have to say Haneum really stood out as the best among them. My Breath Team: 1. Gyehyeon 2.Kangmin 3.Axin Run to you Team: 1. Woojin 2. Hengyu 3. Yoonmin 4.Sen I ranked Yoonmin 3rd place in the Run to You vocal position. He definitely did an amazing job and performed his part really well, but I’m personally not that fond of his vocal tone/color. The others just appealed to me more in this round. Queencard: 1. Leo 2.InHu 3.Sanghyeon 4.Sihwan Rose Blossom team: 1.Haneum 2. Junil 3. Dongyun 4. Honghai 5. Li Yu I placed Li Yu last in my vocal ranking. It wasn’t just because of the voice crack—compared to the others, he’s still the weakest vocalist overall. That said, I can see he’s improving, and he really is cute and lovable. I just think, at this stage, it makes sense that he didn’t make it into the top 8. My Dance unit ranking: 1. Lalala 2. Like Jennie 3. Bad 4. XXL 5. Tambourine Lalala Team: 1. Xin Long 2. Zhe Yi 3. Geonwoo 4. BoWen 5. Lynnlynn Tbh its a well deserved win for them, I loved their performance a lot and Xin Long killed his killing part! Like Jennie team: 1. Sangwon 2. Jun Min 3. Harry June 4. Chingyu 5. Hyunjun for me, Sangwon really stood out in the Jennie performance — not just because of popularity, but because his stage presence and sharpness made a big impression. That’s why I ranked him first! I had Jun Min right behind him in 2nd because his stage presence and charisma are insane, plus he’s a strong dancer too. Bad Team: 1. Donggyu 2. Junseo 3. Masato I ranked Donggyu 1st because he choreographed this masterpiece, and he absolutely nailed it. His dance and stage presence were amazing, and he really stood out to me. Junseo is 2nd — he also did a great job, especially in his killing part. Mnet definitely tried to evil edit him, but honestly, he shined. They didn’t show it on broadcast, but Junseo even said before the performance to vote for Donggyu and mentioned that the choreo was his too, which shows his character. For Masato, I’m sorry, but his facial expressions felt really flat to me — his eyes looked dead and there was no emotion. Skill-wise, he’s better than Li Yu, but compared to everyone else, he just doesn’t stand out. Apparently he’s already out of the top 8, and honestly, I think that makes sense. XXL Team: 1. Yunseo 2. Arctic 3. Jiayang 4. Jinyu Tambourine Team: 1. Jiahao 2. Suren 3. Yumeki 4. Tatsuki 5. Kaiwen 6. HanWen I was a bit disappointed that Kaiwen got the killing part. I had high expectations, but honestly, the only one who truly felt like the killing part to me was Jiahao. Even without officially having it, he carried himself like he was the center, and his high-level main dancer skills really showed. Suren is also a choreographer, just like Yumeki (and they actually know each other). Personally, I would’ve loved to see them create something together. There’s been a lot of unnecessary hate towards Suren and the C trainees, with people saying they should just be thankful to Yumeki for making the choreography. But Suren has every right to feel upset about his parts not being shown — especially since he’s an elimination candidate who needs to stand out. I really respected how Yumeki compromised and reworked the choreography in just one day so that everyone could shine in their own way. He did a great job leading. As for HanWen, since he has no idol training experience, he’s clearly the weakest dancer compared to the rest. He still did fine, but of course he couldn’t top the others. I honestly can’t believe he survived the elimination round while trainees like Fan Zhe Yi, BoWen, and Nian didn’t pass. That feels unfair and I feel really bad for them. Rap Team ranking: 1. Hot 2. Famous 3. Smoke Hot team: 1. Nian 2. Zihao 3. Zhongxing 4. Leejeong The Hot team really got robbed, just like the Breath team that also didn’t win. Honestly, Hot was one of the best rap units, and I still don’t understand how Leejeong ended up ranking 1st in the rap unit. Out of the three, he was clearly the weakest — either Nian or Zihao deserved that top spot way more. Famous Team: 1. Jaehyun 2. Taejo 3. Seowon I ranked Seowon 3rd place in the Famous unit because I’m not really fond of his vocal/rap in this song — it just doesn’t suit him. There were a few parts he did fine, but overall it came across as weak. He’s definitely talented, but I feel like his vocal tone doesn’t fit most songs. I’m honestly a bit tired of all the drama within the Smoke unit. Some people said the beef was just for screentime, but it really felt like Mnet used it as an excuse to give Yichen another evil edit. For me, Yeom Yechan was the standout of the team. He delivered solidly and didn’t make mistakes like Yichen did. Now Some people started blaming Donggyu because of things his friends said about Junseo/Masato, even though he wasn’t involved. It’s caused unnecessary fanwars, but Donggyu himself hasn’t done anything, but now hes getting a lot of hate.

nisha

woojin actually arranged the song but mnet didn't show it. i'm really upset with this episode, that 860 will gonna hunt me forever. i need him to be greedy for the next mission— like get the killing part or main vocal position. but knowing him, he's just too considerate and kind 😭💔 his kr votes are very low last elimination. afaik he was ranked 15th in the kr votes and 8th internationally. i believe it's because of the issue where he was introduced as an individual participant but later on wakeone revealed him as their trainee. knetz hated him for that and accused him of lying about being a country boy.

Nova Amore

Man, my one issue with this episode is that I wish they showed at least 2 other performances last week. That way we can get more details on the process and etc. for all the songs. I don't mind drama and whatever, but I really just wished we can see more of the choreo making, vocal composing, rap lyrics writing, etc. *Oh and the fucking editing is so annoying as always.... Why focus on only 1-2 trainees, why not try to do all of them...🥲😔 During the past 2 days or so, there's so much unnecessary hate on Twitter against xinlong, donggyu, suren, and a few others, and they're apart of my picks that I've been voting for😭 like let's be honest here, suren had valid points about his parts of the performance and I can completly understood why he got upset/overwhelmed. Him expressing his feelings doesn't mean that it's his fault that mnet decided to keep it in the edit. Do I agree that mnet should've included more of kaiwen's parts, 100% yes since he is the killing part😭 but I wish that each trainees fans will stop sending hate. Same with xinlong and the lalala team. Do I wish they showed the other 3 chinese trainee's, yes of course! Especially since chen bowen apparently helped choreo. But is that xinlong's fault, 100% no🥲 people are getting upset and starting hate trains for xinlong just cause of unconfirmed rumors, a long with whatever they see with mnet's editing... Like I'm reminded of how toxic survival show sns can be since the last one I watched live was i-land 1 for enhypen lol. Lesson to be learned is that mnet is the one to blame, cause people are crazy... You know idk if this is true or not, but regarding the votes and how weird the results were like, there were a few people on sns who talked about how they believe the fans of the more famous ones are in the back of the area. And then the fans of the lesser popular fans are in the front. Who knows if that's true, but it technically would roughly explain some of the results.... (Not all lol)😭 My overall ranking would be this tbh: breath team first for vocals, lalala or xxl for dance, and then hot for rap.

Nova Amore

Lol, I can't help but be so curious about yhis. how long does it take to edit, render, and upload a 4 hr 30 long file😭 I imagine it takes so freaking long lmaoo

Moonsyulle

Apparently Donggyu getting a hate train. Some people started blaming Donggyu because of things his friends said about Junseo/Masato, even though he wasn’t involved. It’s caused unnecessary fanwars, but Donggyu himself hasn’t done anything.

nisha

xinlong is getting a lot of hate on the x app just because of the rumored top 8 (he's in it) 😓 they're saying that he don't fit the concept with the other members. i guess they just really hate him.

Nova Amore

I watched another reaction where the person talked about the dance teams also being made to sing and record their vocals for their songs making it hard for her to fully get into the dance. Like for example like jennie, people might be more used to Jennie's vocals. Or maybe same with queencard, etc etc. (this is probably why donggyu stood out to me, since his recorded vocals really suited the song!) Like she still enjoyed them, but the fact that it's not the original track with the original voices were used to hearing, it might have a factor. I guess I'm just curious if you also think that that could be a factor as to why people may like certain performances and etc?? Just as someone who might have a different perspective. Oh, and I saw on Twitter that yechan (1/2 of the smoke team) wrote a letter that said that he apparently 'acted up' more to get more screentime or something like that😭 aka, people's theorys of Yichen and yechan pretending to fight or whatever might have been right

nisha

hello! that rumor about zhang jiahao isn't confirmed. the user deleted the posts.

Nova Amore

Oh actually?? It seemed so legit, lemme take that out oops

Candice Blair

I need Li Zihao and Xu Suren to survive one more round. Suren is getting hate on X too and I hate it along with Xinlong.

jeffavenue

thanks for asking! I started editing around 10pm cause I finished filming at like 7:30pm and needed to eat and take a breather and also while files (from camera, screen recording) convert to smaller files which is about an hour. I review every single rants and edit if necessary so that takes the longest as I have to go through the entire footage. then export usually 30-40 mins? then convert video to smaller file for 1 hour. I was up until 3am last night then I slept while it was converting. then I woke up today at 11am to upload and publish haha. it's not hard per se, it's just a long process. this is why I kinda disappear for days sometimes after filming a lot of content because I need to rest haha

jeffavenue

some people just do not use their brain. I've come to realize that in my 5 years being a Kpop stan. so many careers ruined because people do not know how to think critically. and when people explain and educate, they reply with "not reading all that." people just choose to stay dumb. can you tell im exhausted? HAHA

jeffavenue

right??? but like I mentioned this on-site voting is such a small pool of the fandom that should not have this much power over the trainees and benefits 😩

Moonsyulle

I totally get you 😭 it’s exhausting seeing people spread hate without thinking or even wanting to listen.

jeffavenue

I honestly never accounted for the recorded vocals for the choreography/dance groups even during produce era. it's unnecessary because the position is DANCE. so EVERY focus or scoring should only be on the dancing and choreo. even if someone recorded the song and sounded like a whale, it shouldn't matter if they were dancing well. I do feel the constructed drama for Smoke was a poor choice if the trainees initiated it for screen time. EACH group had screen time for their performances (it was only a matter of which trainees) but in this case, there was only 2 of them so they were both definitely gonna get screen time no matter what they were experiencing. it was so risky for them to have done this.

tici :]

i have been voting for donggyu since the first ep, he sooo underrated :/

nins

Being a Donggyu fan is not for the easy. But, at least you can rest well knowing he's talented and seems like a kind human being who all the contestants and judges seem to adore. Also, his voice sounded amazing on the cover, especially that intro. I hope if he makes it to the next round he's able to be one of the vocalists on whichever team he's in. Side note - whenever he rated his skillsets in the past he'd always place confidence last; I hope one day we get to see him be fully confident. There's so much potential in his dance lines and presence, once he opens up his shoulders and chest and stands tall I really think he could be an even better performer.

Nova Amore

Oh damnn😭 I admire your dedication though!

Ivyyy

I saw Jess' reaction as well and there was an additional point about the dance song covers that I think is very true. Some songs lend themselves better to being covered in this format than others: 1. like you mentioned, because we are so used to the sound of the original, and 2. songs like LALALALA that are originally multiple voices + dancing will feel "more right" when covered in this way. I suspect this is why that team scored so high (with that particular audience), it felt just like a music show or even award show performance. What do you think?

Nova Amore

Oh, I forgot to say this, but the gap between the signal song and the first mission seems to have been about a month....?? (I think, not 100% sure about that, I'm just basing that on what I've seen online) And then between the 1st mission to the second mission, it seems to be a tighter gap. (Don't know how long obviously) And then from the 1st mission to the 3rd mission, I think there isn't really a gap since they kind of go straight in from right after the recent elimination a few days ago (I do remember that trainee's were seen outside either eating, visiting cafe events for them, etc, so that means that they have a decently long enough break here and there) So it would make sense why hengyu 's voice is still hoarse, especially if he isn't taking care of it as much. (I was watching the three still active verivery members react to this episode, and I think dongheon told hengyu to not yell and take care of his voice) I have a feeling that he's so desperate to debut, he just isn't thinking of his voice which is really unfortunate

jeffavenue

oh thattttt's why woojin ranked lower... I did hear that about him. even if true, it's forgivable. such a small detail. cause it's all in context. like if you asked where he's from, he could say he was from that small province but if you ask him where he grew up, then he could answer with the big/rich city (I forgot what it was). like when people ask me: where were you born or where are you from? I say the Philippines but I grew up in Canada. 2 things can be true so it's just a matter of context or how was the question asked.

jeffavenue

xinlong not fitting the concept with the other trainees?? huh? he can literally stand next to Leo and they have the same concept. unless you're telling me Leo isn't in the top 8 anymore??

Nova Amore

That's what I think as well actually, and it was so interesting to learn about. That makes sense why people were drawn to tambourine, but why lalala won. Plus the audience, since they are all Korean (from what it seems like at least) would probably lean towards lalala team vs tambourine

jeffavenue

awww my poor baby! I do hope he gains the confidence too cause he has so much potential! I also didn't think he was that young so maybe that adds to it. if so, confidence will come with time.

sanitizerr

this show is killing me tbh.. so much drama on X and TikTok… we all just want a talented well rounded group to debut😭😭

nisha

based from the rumor leo is still in the top 8. it's just frustrating that xinlong is getting a lot of hate just because of an unconfirmed rumor 🥲

Camille Angelica TV

Always loveeeeee long reactions from you!!! Also, yeah very shocked in a lot of the scores in this mission sighhh

Amber

Glad you finally boarded the haneum train. He didn’t get his audition aired or any screen time at all before this but thank goodness Korea loves him so he’s rank 12 rn and a serious contender. But he has the largest difference between Korean and global votes where in Korea he’s top 8 I believe while globally like 40. He performed plot twist but I wouldn’t say it was his best as he’s kinda like woojin in the sense that he’s a singer foremost and hasn’t really got that much idol training specifically. He has some solo songs and was on another mnet singing show so if he just improves on singing while dancing I think he would be unstoppable. Hopefully his global votes go up cause k votes are hard carrying him rn. (Also fun fact he was a child actor as well on kdramas, so he’s like the adorable toddler on boys over flowers)

Maria Elena Feliz

This is what makes me mad, because who is more "alpha"than Xinlong? I just can't imagine him not fitting the concept. Some people are just hating without motive good lord

Christine Copeland aka Christine's Culinary Quest

Yeah. I'm not sure how much was Yichen being popular. Yechan might have worried it would get skewed in Yichen's favor even though MNET hasn't been giving him any positive edits. Like you said, there was only two of them and Yichen has a more established fan base from Project 7, so he might have chosen a riskier narrative overall but one that was more guaranteed to skew in his favor with no idea what MNET would try to edit it as on their own if they didn't set a clear narrative. They definitely should have gone for a developing friendship narrative if they were going to pretend for camera. At least force a positive narrative on MNET.

nins

Who was the other reactor you watched? I'd like to see their reactions and perspective on this show!

nisha

ikr, he was even hated for liking skz 😭 the hate is just forced tbh just because for a non-existent concept

Nova Amore

Oh man, x is hell😭

Nova Amore

It's a channel called jessica holyfield

Moon

Guys if you haven't yet then pls watch JIA HAO's fancam for Tambourine performance, the camerawork for the actual performance didnt do him justice. I think I have a new bias now *sighs*

tici :]

honestly great performances but i feel like no one really stood out

carm

You not knowing Haneum is crazy! He might not have screentime but he is ranked very very high. He's ranked 12th purely because of Korean votes currently. He was g42 last elimination, however, international viewers have definitely noticed him now so he is rising internationally too. It is very possible for him to get top 8 next elimination, especially with the benefit.

carm

Also, he was the main vocal in plot twist 1 star.

Nathalie Salud

it's just such a shame that some of these performances got aired when the voting is about to close 🥲 but i have really high hopes for donggyu, he's been trending in korea and internationally since this ep is aired and aside from his amazing choreography skills people also talked about his recorded vocals on this performance which is really good! he's getting more attention lately and people are finally seeing his talent, i hope that this hype will get him to atleast the finals if not debut. also, his fancam in this ep is the 8th most viewed fancam rn 🙂‍↕️

dalis

Oh god, finally Dong Gyu is getting his edit. I still don't know why people are noticing him only now, because his appearance in first episode was just unforgettable. Let's hope that he survives and rises in rankings. His fancam is also insanely good btw.

Joy

Donggyu FINALLY getting his edit Also Happy 16th birthday to Chingyu!! His and Sangwons little scene was so cute

Ysf

Donggyu’s such a sweetheart 🙁 don’t know who could ever hate on him, X has some weird people

Ivyyy

Just curious, was there one or two performances that you liked the most? Did the contestants that you're voting for also not stand out this time?

Ivyyy

Social media was super depressing to look at after yesterday's "leaked" results. On the bright side, it's just a vocal minority doing the vast majority of the yapping. Hopefully the actual voting, now that we have more footage of each trainee's actual abilities, will be better.

Virtual TimeLine

This episode perfectly encapsulates why I will always be against fan voting in survival shows. Fans only recieve the performances, work ethic and behaviour of contestants through edited forms of content, so the bias of the camera crew, editors and publishers will carry on to fans. And on site voting is also heavily skewed. First of all it is a small sample size, so votes can be unnatural. And the people getting into the on site voting will probably already have a favorite and least favorite, and with a small sample size those votes matter a LOT. I will always advocate for at the very least 50/50 voting from fans and judges, and honestly I personally want it even more favored towards judges in like a 67/33 split or 75/25 split. Judges view the performances with the least bias, since that is their job. But they also view the work ethic and behaviour of a contestant.

jeffavenue

i haven’t seen it but yes did see it on x that he’s on the show! 🥳🥳

Anna

its so crazy to me that Haneum was literally 40 in global votes the fact that he's p12 shows how much Korea loves him if he just got that attention globally he's guaranteed debut. I do think he has gotten more global popularity since last elim but I don't think its even near some of the other contestants :( I just rlly hope it keeps going up because there's no way we can lose a face and voice like that to nugudom.

Mika

I think the reason these trainees got lower scores is because the audience saw them as a threat to their picks. Example like Woojin Yumeki Kangmin and Leo got such low scores and I don’t think it was deserved I wish they didn’t close voting right after this so many trainees that we saw perform well probably are going home because of lack of screen time 😭 Trainees like Donggyu, Yoon Min, and Jia Hao did so well performing, yet all got no screen time in 7 episodes. Hopefully if some of them survive we can see them thrive(there’s def more trainees but these three stood out a lot to me personally)

Ivyyy

I wish I could be half as objective as you were this episode, Jeff, I'm seriously impressed! I too have found new favourites, but (for some psychological reason lol) I also can't let go of the ones that left an initial impression on me. How do we vote now, indeed! T_T I was also shocked by the low score of Queencard, but while watching it, I did have the feeling that it didn't quite... climax hard enough? Like I kept waiting for the music to swell to "fullness" like a banger should, and it never got there? But maybe it did on-site and it's just me lol. If I had to nitpick, the theatrical elements didn't really do it for me. I have a theory on how Rose Blossom by H1-Key won; they were vocally less strong, so (other than Haneum's lines) they sang 80% of the song with multiple voices simultaneously. Not only did it help cover for each other, I'm pretty sure, please correct if I'm wrong, that the human ear likes the sound of multiple voices together, like a choir-ish. Along with the live band and confetti, I can kinda see why the audience liked it. I just noticed that Tambourine and Like Jennie got the lowest dance scores. Interesting, considering that they had the most intricate choreographies! I wonder why. Perhaps it was too "Street Man Fighter"-esque in front of an audience of teenage girls who were there for "MCountdown"? I mean, Tambourine lacked super popular trainees, but I totally thought Like Jennie would be higher. I was so sad when you said "Why try hard?" near the end. Last season, the on-site votes were also shitty, but we ended up with a pretty good debut team, didn't we? The first half of a survival show is always going to be skewed towards visuals and prior fanbases, but now that we've actually seen more of every contestant's skills, the cream will surely rise. The people who attend on-site and those who are loud on socials, they definitely are NOT an accurate representation of the majority of the show's audience, the majority of the votes. Although we indeed lost several talents in the 1st elimination, I think the fact that many amazing contestants are still in the running is a great sign. Let's have some hope! p.s. Doesn’t Haneum look so much like 2016 young NCT Taeyong???

Ivyyy

Yumeki confuses me. Other than two sections of choreography that were each like 2 seconds, did he have any other parts at the front of the group? I was like, Bro give yourself something more please >.< Show off a bit!

Mika

RIGHT OMG he was too selfless i watched the fancam and he killed it the whole time but he gave himself so few moments in front

Christine Copeland aka Christine's Culinary Quest

Anyone else feeling like the votes in the round were people securing benefits for lower trainees based on some of the results? I think we can all agree Leo wasn't lowest in his group in any way and there were a few similar results.

RAN

Junseo truly doesn't deserve this. After the way Mnet twisted events in this episode to portray him as a bad leader and selfish, he has been receiving a lot of unnecessary hate everywhere and is even losing votes. He is genuinely kind and has an amazing personality; it's hard to understand why they would treat him this way. I hope he can keep his spot in the top 8 after this because he deserves so much better.

Ryan

Yoomin was supposed to debut with kickflip in JYP after making it to the final lineup of the LOUD survival show. He really shouldn't be that low in the rankings.

Lazycloud

Audience votes always suck for survival shows haha Like Jay Chang scoring last for “Over Me” last season. And people who were allegedly there tried the “it was hard to hear him” excuse with Nian Bo Heng. The same excuse they used for Jay Chang. Nah, not buying it anymore. Y’all gonna blindly vote for your favorites regardless of quality. I like to think of myself as objective cuz even though An Xin’s been in my top 8 since the start, and been a fan since Make Mate 1, he fell out of my top 8 after this episode. Yoon Min slotted in. An Xin wasn’t bad, I just was very impressed with others. Han Eum took Bowen’s spot for me too, and Dong Gyu is back in my top 8.

cinnamonroll

omg yess if you wanna rewatch 'your name', please make sure to react to it! gonna be fun 😁 with all these mess that are happening rn, i'm thinking of dropping the show. but my dear kang woojin still need more votes, so here i am. the8 gonna be the planet master for next mission too. it's a sign to stay ig

Lora K.

At this point I'm convinced that people gave the good teams/members low score on purpose to put them at a disadvantage. Leo killed that performance and his team did the best yet somehow he got the worst score out of all and his team got the worst score?? It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. They need to stop letting biased fans having this much influence on the lineup. Majority of the votes need to come from judges

Lora K.

Exactly my thoughts, they're doing that to sabotage them. Every there did not agree with the votes. The judges thought Queencard should be first tells me all I need to know

tici :]

my main picks are donggyu and jiahao, they were amazing! but i felt like the episode had so much going on it was getting tiring to watch and also i cannot sympathize with the editing or i am just tired of this show lol

Frances

I genuinely almost threw my computer this episode! im anti live stages now bc the people who get in are DELUSIONAL or something. Im still angry. people need to start voting based on TALENT.

Lora K.

I actually liked how they worked the guitar smashing into the performance. How I saw it, the guitar wasn't working properly (you can hear it too) that was during Leo's high note, so he stops, goes to grab it and smashes it on the floor and at that moment the drums kick in. It fit the "bad boy" vibe very well like you mentioned. I'm just so mad about Leo's score, he worked so hard on re-arranging the song and adding all these elements. He's a great leader and even helped another team too. Of course they didn't show any of that. But all that aside him getting the lowest score made no sense!

jeffavenue

ohhh ya that'd explain it! he really needs to go on vocal rest when he can. it's still very evident and these performances are at least 7 days apart. he can permanently damage his voice if he's not careful.

jeffavenue

OMG hahah waitttt this was like the same type of comment I got when I went on board with tae rae!! and honestly ive been watching his fancam since seeing his performance. I also had to watch his old performances again to see where he was. I remember him now from plot twist! I think I said he had a healthy high note? or maybe I said the OTHER guy had a healthier high note. can't remember. but then again, I once said tae are didn't need a high note in that stray kids stage that they did and here I am, obsessed with him lol. I think he'll do well for elimination. tae rae was in the same boat before (major k support). I actually really want him to debut now!

jeffavenue

he's awesome! I honestly thought they would've pushed him more cause of the duo with an Xin but we got less of him

jeffavenue

I think I know what you mean. in comparison to last season and produce era, there was no specific unanimous viral moment this time. it might be the song selection honestly. like I can still remember so many iconic performances from produce x 101 and bp1.

jeffavenue

loll yesss he wasn't on my radar at alll. but trust me im obsessed now HAHAHHA

jeffavenue

yay!!! glad to see him get the attention! honestly just overall, they should've put more performances last week. the split is crazyyy

jeffavenue

right?? I feel like maybe cause he was shown first and then we had like k and c eps and then he hadn't had anymore special moments since then so people kinda forgot about him. if they had shown him during signal song, I think more people would be voting for him. the ones that voted for him the first mission were probably mainly from that first ep.

jeffavenue

lol whenever I open x to see updates, I end up rolling my eyes cause of the shit that's posted there hahaha

jeffavenue

judges should really be incorporated more in these rounds. we do it for swf so why not this show. they had every opportunity to change it up after rebranding produce to planet era.

jeffavenue

I went back to see haneum's performances and wasn't really that impressed honestly so I see why he may have not resonated well with global viewers especially since he had no screen time. BUT he solidified his spot this ep and I believe he'll get global votes now too. his styling + edit + vocals is enough to gain some new fans! LIKE ME!

jeffavenue

ughh that would explain the erraticness of the votes honestly 😞

Pratiksha Majee

I am pissed off with the live audience voting and my whole interest in watching BP2 is gone. I am done with the show. I am feeling myself getting negative with my thoughts and it's messing my mental health coz I think I am too emotionally attached to some trainees and I just wanna stop watching this show for my own sanity. I'll vote for Harry and Sangwon. If Harry doesn't make it, I'll just enjoy his work back in DKB and support him outside of the show. Plus Mnet does not deserve him. He and DKB were much appreciated in Peak Time which was by JTBC. That show didn't make me feel distressed either.

live audience piss me off..they r blind!!

It’s really sad to see how Mnet edited the scenes in Episode 3.06. For example, with Kangmin from VERIVERY, they highlighted his story in a touching way, showing him with Baekho, which makes sense since VERIVERY is at least a little more recognized in Korea. But for Junseo (WEi), when he appeared, they only mentioned his BL drama role, not even a single word about his group name. That’s so disrespectful, because the reason he’s here is to follow his dream as an idol, singer, and dancer. Junseo has been working for years he debuted with WEi after Under Nineteen, and in all these years he has never had scandals or shown bad behavior. Yet Mnet edited it as if his presence only served to push another trainee’s storyline, like boosting Donggyu’s ranking. Don’t get me wrong, I like Donggyu too and I’ve even voted for him, but this kind of editing feels manipulative. And what makes it even more confusing is the inconsistency. In the very first episode, debuted idols were supposed to enter separately, but Leo entered sitting together with Sangwon—even though he had already debuted before this show. It just feels like a concept the show wanted to push, and it shows the unfairness. It’s frustrating because every single participant in this show has their own talent and hardworking story. Still, some are given more attention while others are disrespected. For example, people keep saying Sangwon and Leo “deserve better,” but they’re already almost locked for debut because of their popularity, company, and exposure. Leo even debuted just months before joining this show, but the editing made him look more favorable. Meanwhile, Junseo and Woojin are criticized for very small reasons, even though they also deserve fair recognition. This shows that the staff and editors know exactly what they’re doing pushing certain narratives and not caring about how it affects others. And honestly, it’s sad, because all of these trainees are talented and working hard for their dreams.

My favorite was honestly LALALALA I loveeeee the concept they went for which made the chore so creative, and honestly loved the geonwoo and xinlong duo, so excited for their Mcountdown performance As far as other battles, for vocal my favorite was breathe it was so beautiful, and also so happy you are noticing yoonmin, mnet did not showcase his vocal potential until now that I feel like if I did not knew him from LOUD I would also not have know about him And for rap, famous was great, but I think Hot was the best, such is a shame they did not get the benefits

Aon __-

I don't like the voters for this round. AT ALL.

Joy

They did. I forgot what it's called in Korean but it's basically a strategized voting method where you vote for less popular trainees over popular ones, especially if your fav isn't popular. Also have to factor in that out of the 800-1K people only 200 are selected to vote. So if a whole group of Xinlong and Geonwoo fans staying together and being selected to mnet (which is what rumors have been saying) then they will pick trainees who are not a threat to xinlong and geonwoo

Ms. T

What’s the T? Who did he help?

dylightfullygeeky

Btw for the Smoke team (Yichen and Yechan) take their "drama" with a HUGE pinch of salt - saw that Yechan and Yichen staged that for more screen time (more so the former). And Yechan needs the live audience points more than Yichen, as the former's 39th while Yichen is 19th. Btw, they were on Project 7 together.

Jet3

I dont get it. If ppl said that the on site voters were trying to save the lower rank partipants, why would Sang Hyeon received the highest vote? He was ranked 3rd, higher than Leo. We dont mind participants like Haneum who did well in the ranking and still got the highest vote, coz obviously he is the best in his group. So idk, the on site voters are really weird.

kswshining

so haneum and yoonmin have participated in another mnet survival show called king of karaoke : vs. it's a really good vocal show, if you have time you should check their performance there! they did supeeerrr goooood vocal performance!

Nomin Enkhtuya

People seem blind or just ignoring the truth. In the first performance BAD all three of them had balanced and equal time on stage. It’s not only Donggyu during the previous episode, when they were choosing the killing part, each member showed the choreography they created. Even in the mid-term check with the masters, you can clearly see that all three contributed to making this stage. In fact, the final performance still included the choreography from both Masato and Junseo, so why are people saying it’s only Donggyu’s work? That’s really unfair. For the killing part decision, Junseo simply gave a suggestion it wasn’t like he forced it. They discussed together, and the final outcome worked perfectly on stage. Sorry just too unfair

Maria Elena Feliz

That's just MNET rigging like always surprise surprise

Line

(I sent my comment before I finished it hahahaha ended up deleting) Regarding Woojin's unfair score, he's not popular in Korea. He's popular internationally, but Korea wants Haneum in the group, and they think Woojin has a similar concept. Also the whole WakeOne thing really hurt him there. The live voting is sooooo unfair. Yumeki, Leo, and Woojin, and so many other trainees got a score that did not represent their performance... I still can't get over Leejeong getting top scores for HOT when the other three did infinitely better. When you said there was a "joshuaness" to Junil's face lol many people call him "Joshua's son". I feel just like you about Yoonmin and Haneum. I want them to make it lol At least one of them. They're so talented T_T Haneum is so pretty, too. Yoonmin so versatile. If they don't make it, I'm almost sure they'll be in the second group (like evnne). I also agree Breathe and Run to You deserved that win a lot more than H1-Key due to the mistakes, but we've established live voters don't always vote for who did better. They vote for who they like. Regarding Lalalala's win, the people who attended the recording praised them by congratulating some members on the confirmation of their debut with this performance lol I knew the moment I saw the amount of posts made to Korean forums and even twitter, that LA4 would win this. I see how Like Jennie and Tambourine were technically superior, but the way some watchers have been disregarding how well LA4 team did and justifying their win on payola and rigged votes... Their win has only solidified the hate some have towards Xinlong, and it's just sad. No one is saying the same about H1-Key's win... I get the difference in votes, but still. Their hatred seems to stem from the fact that Xinlong loves Stray Kids, and b2p watchers seemingly hate SKZ, and think Xinlong can single-handedly decide this group will be the next skz lol

1. It's the LOUD silence after the announcement of the vocal position winner that did it for me XD I can't hahahaha. To comment on why Chen Bo Wen was not there during the practice I think it's because of the rule or law in South Korea that minors are not allowed to work more than 7 hours a day and a maximum of 40 hours a week and need to be done at a certain time (before midnight) that's why some participants (minors) left the practice room (yun seo, chen bo wen etc) 2. I 100% agree with you that it's a shame contestants like Han Eum are only highlighted now when the show is basically almost ending (which makes me even saltier about Andrew being eliminated in the first elimination round) but this episode was eye opening for me in terms of what I normally look for in kpop idols when I decide to stan them which made me change my picks. 3. My picks before this episode VS after this episode Before: (I miss seeing Andrew in my list T_T) 1. Lee Sang Won 2. Zhou An Xin 3. He Xin Long 4. Lee Leo 5. Hsu Ching Yu 6. Kim Jun Min 7. Xue Su Ren 8. Kim Jun Seo --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After: (I have added the positions now as well because they are becoming clearer to me. Depending on the next elimination round and next batch of performances I'm sure this list will be rock solid, because at the moment there are some positions that I can't really choose who I want there) 1. Center > Lee Sang Won 2. Leader > He Xin Long 3. Main Vocal > Yang Han Eum 4. Lead Vocal > Lee Leo 5. Main Rapper & All Rounder > Yoon Min 6. Sub Rapper > Yeom Ye Chan or Nian Bo Heng or Kim Tae Jo 7. Main Dancer > Kim Jun Min 8. Lead Dancer > Zhang Jia Hao or Hsu Ching Yu or Arctic

justsing96

I read somewhere that Yichen of the "Smoke"-team talked about Leo helping out with writing lyrics.

Elena

It's weird that the smoke team would fabricate a fight. It reflects badly on both, especially yichen. It makes him look so bad and just straight problematic. He's talking over yechan the whole time, it just seems very real to me like that's really yichens character. It doesn't benefit him at all. So bad move if it were to be fabricated...

Preslee Johnson

This show is really going to be the death of me

David

Just get fucking rid of on site voting I beg, how cringe..

tamkan

loved the performances but the fucking live voting PISSES ME OFF SO MUCH

Lora K.

This pissed me off the most! Like how is a guy who can't even hold a note be 3rd on the lineup and receive the best score on the team when realistically he was the worst!

Lora K.

woah! that's insane manipulation of votes. No wonder the votes made no sense

imani

Wow, it's so interesting that from your perspective, Gyehyeon choking up during Breathe deterred the song's momentum at the end. Because for me, THAT became the killing part! I think the stillness and intimacy of the moment were perfect, and for it to crescendo the way it did really worked for me. I bawled my eyes out at too once that happened too, so i might be biased but that was my favorite vocal performance LMAOOOO

Elena

I agree, its so emotional and beautiful, I love it

Elena

The audience is so wackadoodledoo

Lnqxie

The on-site audience infuriates EVERYONE without exaggeration. Wouldn't be surprised if it were revealed later on that MNet paid these audiences to manipulate the points to their taste, LOL. (hopefully not) Also, they always emphasize being fair in the voting system, but they have the authority over what scenes they want to show to the screen audience, which can also affect the trainees' image towards the audience AND affect the online voting. In short, evil-editing those whom they want to be eliminated and angel-editing those who want to be in the final lineup, giving them sparkles, narrative, etc. [no hate towards the trainees, everyone is doing amazing in their progress] I am also trying my best not to be swayed by the Mnet editing because they can be very tricky with that. Even the Star Masters were sometimes edited out or evil-edited. Like, keeping the bad comments in, and editing the praises out. I heard somewhere that I-Land PD was the one behind this one. And also heard that in the next episode (ep. 11, because ep. 10 is the elimination round), -that the PD changed because of the different style of scene cuts, people say it's like the first episode cuts. Everyone's going crazy about these things right now: 1. Top 24 who survived 2. That rumored participant who jumped 22 ranks 3. The song selections for each member for the semi-final round 4. The talented participants who had been hidden by mnet that suddenly pops out of nowhere

Maria Elena Feliz

After seeing the rumors of the 24 survivors in this round I think my picks will change from head to toe, I think by now we all know who the participant is that jumped 22 ranks. If the rumors are true then I only see 2 songs going viral for the song selection and basically overshadow all other contestants, which is a shame because all the songs are good songs and deserve to be in the spotlight. And about the talented participants who had been hidden yeah since the start of the show this has been an issue. Especially because in the earlier rounds there have been some contestants that went viral only to be eliminated, which only confirms the theory that Mnet HATES it when contestants go viral if it's not one of their own picks and that they purposefully eliminate screentime of the "viral" ones. This happened with Andrew, Jian Fang and many more and the only time they had screentime was in the unreleased footage that they uploaded on YouTube after the elimination. This whole thing is also why I did not want to get too invloved, because of my traumas I had with X1, but the contestants just melted my heart and I had to start voting and rooting for them but I know I will cry a lot out of dissapointment if the debut line up is the MNET pick (because it will be looks, popularity and entertainment company sponsorship over TALENT and personality)

eve_ss

I kept wondering why Jiahao looked so familiar, then it hit me omg he’s the same Jiahao from the survival show MA1! He was honestly one of the best dancers there. Tbh I don’t really follow BPII closely, but when I saw his fancam on TikTok, he was sooo good!! And I remember because he’s from Chromosome Ent too. Lay laoshi, no wonder! Him, Kaiwen, and Anxin on the same company… Lay and his trainees. 👏

Rodeo Princess

Run to you is still one of my fave performance in this season even if my one pick is not here. I love Yoonmin and Woojin's harmony together

Rodeo Princess

Donggyu BAD performance was legendary
