About Kim Moo-Gan, speaking of today, he is striving just as much as your biases basically. Right after they released the episode, he actually gained more recognition and love. I can only make assumptions but, about why he did this, I think he was mainly disappointed in himself and that feeling that he had to prove himself was overwhelming. He came just like Ho-jong with people expecting great things about him but he hadn’t been able to show what he wanted nor was he able to meet the jury’s and people’s expectations (never main lead, often made mistakes etc). I think in the end it took a toll on him, he looked emotionally drained. But yes personally he was my favorite on this episode and he is very endearing so it was sad. As for the reviews I agree with you 100% on every choreography and performance. You know in a way I understand Moo-Gan, literally speaking when he said he wasn’t that talented or that handsome… when you look at the results, he placed 4th…and for instance Kyung-ho, even though he’s my 2nd favorite, didn’t make a great choreography for me and you explained perfectly what I felt about his performance, but he placed 2nd which hardly makes sense unless people take into account something else, like his looks or previous performances… ho-jong who’s my bias also showed too much individuality and placed better than him. I mean, I understand Moo-gan’s feelings too if we take his words, like it’s a bit discouraging too but whatever the reason it was such a shame for him to leave 🥲

aww. good he gained a lot of support after this. yea I do remember their entrance and like you can tell the caliber is so high and thats why people expected better. unfortunately this kind of environment is so difficult and really challenges not just your creativity but your health both mental and body as well given how fast paced it is. at this point it's not about how good you really are, it's about your stamina. I wish he persevered though as he was so close and in an upwards trajectory. ho-jong definitely gained a lot of points from votes. I think the choreography composition stuff didn't really factor apart from the judges. like a lot of public votes would not really look at that aspect and just vote based on their faves. not to say ho-jong doesn't deserve love, but moo-gan's choreo was better given the challenge.
