Odyssey is probably one of my most favorite kpop albums of all time so that is a very hard one to follow but they still had some incredible songs on here. ALSO omg Wonbin surprising me AGAIN. Dayummnnn. Long thoughts ahead!

First, okaaaay Jeff with the hair! It looks so good! Okay, so I’m gonna rant hahaha. Man, my RIIZE 🥲. It’s been such a journey with them, but I couldn’t be more proud of their growth. I honestly think they’re at a point where they’re finally going to start getting the recognition they deserve. They are popular yes, but I’ve always felt like it wasn’t quite enough, especially when it comes to their vocals. I think it’s because they’re finally getting songs that really let them show off what they can do, ever since Odyssey. And omg what an album. It’s been my favorite album since it came out. That’s when I started thinking, OMG, this is a group that should be on their way to be talk about on an EXO level. So I was always frustrated that not many people seemed to talk about the album or them as much as I thought they should. So… going into this album, tbh wasn’t expecting it to be better than Odyssey but it was such a great surprise! I really like all the songs, even “Do Your Dance” haha. I get why they need a song like that to showcase their performance, and I loved the video too it felt like a mix of Siren and Talk Saxy, so I enjoyed it a lot. But yeah, Overdrive and Soar made me feel even more strongly that they deserve to be recognized, at some point, on an EXO level kinda way and as some of the best vocalists of their generation. Anyway, I’m excited for their future and can’t wait for their next full album because I think that’ll give them even more opportunities to show what they’re capable of. I agree with the CBX frustration, RIIZE are kinda giving me what EXO is missing or can't give me fully currently... Kyungsoo and Suho have been pulling through with the vocals (as well as Kai or Chanyeol) , sure, but it's still not the same. Baekhyun's and Jongdae's voices are a huge part of EXO's identity, no matter how much I love the rest of EXO and respect and appreciate their efforts with the current line up Wonbin is a STAR!!!!! who looks, sings and dances like that? I think he might be SM's best center (saying this as the biggest KAI, Taeyong and Taemin stan) and he's still fairly new in the industry. Imagine how GOATED he'll be in a couple of years, given how dedicated and passionate he clearly is about his idol career D-d-done....GAY club that's RIGHT 🤣🤣 RIIZE said happy pride month yall! I've seen a LOT of exols or "sm" stans say that Overdrive is EXO coded. that song comes from deep within the EXO song vault lmao. I LIVE for it damn...."like a bomb" really is giving back door which I personally don't LOVE lmaooo that's why I was like "oh no 😅" when the song started and I first listened to it. their vocals saved it for me tho, thank God the song kinda changed. not to be shady, I adore SKZ, but that's not their best tt for me, personally

Thank you for the reaction! Been waiting for it lol Tbh, Do Your Dance is a "ok" song for me. I understand it's more on dance/performance kinda song but I just feel it a bit too repetitive on chorus part and I get it, it's easier to get people hooked to the song but I kinda want more "lyrics" I guess. I LOVE SOAR AND OVERDRIVE so much!! Like why this are not title!!!! It gives everything about RIIZE! D-D-Done is my favorite tho hahaha I like chill/dance/blub vibe of it if that makes sense. I also feel like Like a Bomb and In a loop is more like concert end song, for bye bye moment haha Overdrive (edit: it is D-D-Done, my bad) is gonna be one of stage song, I think this week stage.. pls react to it if you have time 🥺🥺🥺 also, RIIZE has been going to lots of show (finally C5 know how to do their job PROPERLY). I'd recommend you to watch Zip Daesung (whole RIIZE), Salon Drip (Shotaro &Anton) and JeonGwaJa (Eunseok&Sungchan). Also, RIIZE summer vacation on their channel is nice too! You'll see different (more on chaotic) side of them too. Pls consider if you have time 🙏🏻 Anyway, thanks again for the reaction~ I'm moving on to LMJ & Sohee 😂😂

I agree they really should be otw to being exo level by this point in their career. siren and debut year was really giving that energy. unfortunately, I think the controversies and boycott really ruined the momentum (like you said, they're popular but they really should be even more popular). I think the loss of seunghan's vocals hindered them from being a vocally heavy group (branding-wise) so they went for more dance-heavy songs. but im glad they've been getting more songs that highlights their capabilities. I see a lot of Kpop fans just wanting amazing vocals (that's why lngshot went viral) so there's a huge market to focus on that

right??? the most frustrating part of it is I became an exo fan during enlistment era so I never experienced them in real time (closest was cream soda I guess) but yes Chen and baekhyun's vocals missing are just not the same. they're once in a generation. I am YEARNING for those kinds of vocals! glad im not the only one that thought overdrive was very exo coded haha. and yes SKZ has better titles for sure!

YAY RIIZE CONTENT :) Like a Bomb and Overdrive are my absolute favourites in this album. In a Loop is great too and can totally see it being used in a movie sound track. Thank you for still following and posting about Riize! There is so much new content so I hope you can check out some more stuff in the future if it interest you :)
