Oh my woorddd. The revelations were INSANE. This finale tied everything together cohesively 👏🏽

I can't believe I did it! Yay! It honestly didn't feel like a trek to do this many eps. It was very enjoyable. And I really also liked that I was able to offer insight here and there. This is probably the most complex drama analysis I've done. I hope you guys enjoyed it!

PS. Sorry I didn't upload this yesterday like I mentioned. Another 2 auditions came in after that first one and I just didn't have the mental capacity anymore to do the edit. Thank you for your patience!

Like I mentioned for the next CDrama, I will be looking at your suggestions but I won't be jumping in right away as I think I need to give it a bit of break and also do Kdramas for the other subscribers. But I will revisit the choices after Song Kang's drama! If there are any other drama that goes viral, keep me posted!

Blessings Jeff w your auditions💜 Okay about the verification... it's important to note that history cdramas has different dynasty they represent, so techniques like that may not be present at that dynasty. Also, reason why its hard to lie even Tao (for example) is bias, deceiving an emperor is not just an execution of you, but your entire generation sometimes down to the 9th gen. If you notice loyalty to their nation and the emperor is their top priority. Also tiger tally or military tally together w an imperial decree will give you the authority to lead a thousand of military troops. I understand about ZLH acting here but I believe that is because his character doesn't have much emotional depth compared to the others. It's tragic but not as complex and complicated as ther others. His role in "our generation" 2025 modern drama have more depth and that according to him is his most challenging so far when it comes to acting.

If you're looking for a modern C-drama next, I'd highly recommend The First Frost or Hidden Love! 🫶 Both are amazing romance dramas. Hidden Love is lighter and fluffier, while The First Frost is more mature and emotional. [[They're connected too! The First Frost is a spin-off of Hidden Love. The male lead in The First Frost is the older brother of the female lead in Hidden Love (played by different actors, though).]] They're both incredibly popular. During their airing, they completely took over my feeds... and honestly, I still see them everywhere even now! 💕

Congratulations, you are one of the few reactors that got the plot and characters right. The age difference between Xie Zheng abd Changyu in the movie is 9 to 10 years. She was 19 and he was 29. In the novel apparently it was bigger.

As for CDrama Suggestions: "Veil Of Shadows" (Romance, Wuxia, Fantasy), only 29 episodes. More fantasy and supernatural (fox demons, deities and magic) than "historical" but insanely entertaining. I surprisingly preferred it a little bit over Pursuit of Jade (which is much more grounded and "realistic"). Both amazing dramas from this year and landmark titles for the genre, but "Veil Of Shadows" got into my personal favorite dramas of all time. It's directed by Guo Jingming featuring a large-scale production with stunning visuals, intricate dark aesthetics, and impressive cinematography. The martial arts fights are over the top insanity with a lot of great wire work and choreography. Emotions are running high—accompanied by plenty of "aura farming," slow-motion shots, and theatrics. Lots of twists and turns as well. Even the plot that starts confusing surprisingly makes sense in the end. It became the fastest exclusive drama to surpass a 10,000 Heat Index on Youku, achieving the milestone in just 52 hours. The series surpassed 500 million effective views. Lead actress Ju Jingyi's character "Lu Wuyi" broke records on Weibo, pulling in over 98.35 million single-day popularity points on the premiere date. The drama's success led to its international streaming pickup on Netflix in selected regions.

I’m so glad you loved and enjoyed watching it 😊 For recommendations, I highly recommend 'Legend of the Female General' or 'Fated Hearts' if you’re looking for a historical cdrama. For a modern cdrama, I recommend 'Shine on Me' 😊 And if you ever want to try the fantasy (xianxia) genre, you should definitely check out 'Love in the Clouds' (I think you’ll loveee the visuals and chemistry)🌟 Side note: I think the reason Grand Tutor Li said, “I played the villain for nothing,” is because he was originally part of Crown Prince Chengde’s faction. However, he betrayed them by reporting to the Emperor the conversation they had that night (specifically when Wei Yan suggested that they should simply let the Emperor abdicate the throne) Because of that, the Emperor became even more determined to get rid of Crown Prince Chengde and joined hands with his nephew, Prince Changxin (That’s also why Grand Tutor Li was present in the hall during the Emperor’s conversation with Prince Changxin)

I haven't finished watching your reactions to all of the the eps yet, but I'd like to suggest a few dramas for you to check out, if you choose to!! (My suggestions are historical based mostly, since those are usually the ones I end up liking the most loll😅) *I tried to think of dramas where the production, and acting, cgi, etc are similar to pursuit of jade, since you are used to poj obviously **I give a rough description of the dramas, but some might be wonky lol - The prisoner of Beauty: 36 eps (enemies to lovers, arranged marriage type of plot. The story itself is really good in my opinion though!!) - Ashes to Crown: 24 eps (this one is transmigration based, and the main female lead has to rewrite her destiny and etc) - Love in the Clouds: 36 eps (this one has the female lead basically disguising herself, to seek revenge essentially. Another fake relationship type of drama) - Love Game in Eastern Fantasy: 32 eps (this one is an Isekai based one, where a modern girl gets sucked into a story, and she has to change things and etc. this one is a bit more lighthearted, so I wanted to add this, just in case) - The Story of Kunning Palace: 38 eps (the male lead in poj is the male lead in this drama as well! I really loved this drama! The drama covers a lot of court secrets, morally grey characters, political power plays, etc) **Oh, and another drama I think you would like would be 'Blossom of Power'!! *And then one of the few modern based drama that I loved is The Kings Avatar: 40 eps (this one is gaming/eSports based! It also has no romance to focus more on the gaming element) **Another modern based drama that I think is good is Neverending Summer: 29 eps (this one is more like a youth drama. There are some misunderstandings though lol. This is the most recent drama out of all of these I think. One of the actors is a cpop idol, and I liked him do I might be a little biasedwith this drama recommendation loll, idk) *And then I know you don't usually do animated movies, but I would also like to suggest Ne Zha 1 & Ne Zha 2! (But these two is just what I would love to see you react to lolll🤣)

To answer your early question, it's not like they could go watch a romance on Netflix. I'm sure plenty of people listened through doors and windows to get their jollies, probably still do, although nowadays they just set up hidden cameras. Peep holes are not something new. I've never felt the urge to watch someone I knew but why do we watch it on TV or at the movies? It's all a form of voyeurism.

I loved following along the show with your and hearing your theories, as i never finished it myself. So, I was figuring things out along with you. Really enjoyed these reactions so I'm sad it's over but excited for what's to come! My absolute favorite c drama is A Dream Within A Dream. It is hilarious and something crazy happens every episode, which would make it a very enjoyable watch. It's one where I'd say, the first episode alone should be enough to hook anyone. Basically, an actress gets transported into her own drama script and brings her modern sensibilities to a historic setting. While it can be very silly, there is a deep theme of controlling your own fate. The male lead is also very popular

OMG Jeff im so glad I watched and finished this with you! Tbh, I started this alone and for some reason I just couldn't continue after a few eps, I actually resubscribed for some AND2BLE content lol and then I saw you watched this, so I gave it another chance and thank god I did! It was so much fun watching with someone who's trying to understand and get to know the characters' names at the same time. Your confusion and theories were all so relatable, maybe that's why it didn't work for me watching it alone cos I too was confused AF and the comments from each upload helped a lot without spoiling anuthing.
