Really great to see his process and how dedicated he is to his craft! He worked hard on this debut.

With that said, please note this is a very imperfect reaction. This is also gonna be the first and last time I talk about the EVAN-Enhypen situation/split in a very unfiltered manner because of how both vague and not vague everything has been. My words are from what I am seeing and what I am interpreting from everything that has been laid out. I may miss details here and there. I'm gonna need to detach from the whole business side of this and just really focus on the craft because otherwise, I will not be able to enjoy them for a long time.

At the start one of the guys acually said you need to convince the public it was your decision

What would be the reason the company would kick him out the group, but keep him in the company.

I'm just a casual enha listener, but then Evan got my attention when he went solo, i guess out of curiosity. And I like his solo music. I added his songs to my playlist! I think that he's doing what he knows is best for him. He kinda was looking for that feeling of fulfillment as an artist, , like that feeling of satisfaction that comes from creative freedom. In my opinion, I don't think he was forced, it's what he wanted for himself. It's great that the company obviously fully supports him all the way. For sure, I'm gonna keep on following him and his journey because he's incredibly talented.

If you re-read Heeseung’s statement on March 10, you will see that he essentially is saying everything that you are wishing he would have said. He talks about his 6 years with Enhypen and how much he cherishes them and will be their biggest supporter. Then he mentions that he had been talking with the company about his solo creations and how much time he has spent on them and how much he wants to share them with the public. He then says that he didn’t want to be selfish and put his ambitions before the group. And so after all this talk with the company, he took their suggestion to go solo and leave the group. I think he has been incredibly sympathetic, as much as the company allows, with the fans. But, he is no longer allowed to talk to Engenes because technically they are no longer “his” fans. In this documentary when he talks about the criticism, he is saying that he understands it and feels it and wants to use all of that in his music. He was not unsympathetic but was reflecting on all the reactions. I was devastated when he left and am still very sad that he wasn’t able to do both. I will continue to support both Enhypen and Evan. But, unfortunately the loudest people, are people disguising themselves as Engenes but are truly haters of Heeseung, I wish they would stop and try spending their time with positivity instead of hate. For example, a negative post that turned out to be a lie about Heeseung was made the same day as the announcement of the pre-order for Enhypen’s new album. Guess which post got well over 20,000 more likes.

I don’t think there are issues between the members and Heeseung. I have seen things that indicate otherwise, but that is just speculation. I think the company gave Heeseung a choice and said that he couldn’t do both. It seems like the members were aware and may have been asked if they, whether some or all, wanted to slow down with all the concerts or promotions, and pursue solo stuff or keep going with their packed schedule. The members may have decided not to slow down group stuff, but we know Heeseung has been working for years on solo stuff. By the way, I enjoyed hearing your opinion

thanks for reminding me about the statement. i honestly forgot about what that said cause it was such a rollercoaster of emotions back then and the questions overpowered the statement itself. and the conversations were louder. i just wish they were able to be more open about the entire thing in a non-business way and just show more imperfection and human-ness. they’re a 7 year group, they are seniors. they can afford to. maybe evan or enha could’ve gone on live, address things. and not separate each other so distinctively 🥺🥺

I think a live with all 7 would have been a great way to deal with it and squash some rumors/theories and speculation

Engenes are now moving on, evers are now moving on. If people are still not over them being seperate artists, goodluck to them but i believe a company will NEVER risk a member leaving in the peak of the group's career unless THE MEMBER HIMSELF wants it so much and evan also debuted in the same company so he definitely doesn't hate this agency so let's all move on and enjoy the future contents we will receive.

Thanks Jeff. I think your interpretation of the situation sounds reasonable and your reaction video of the documentary helps to bring closure for me on this matter.
