I think the overall issue with the song is not that it’s not great in terms of production/sound. I share a common sentiment which seems to be that it should’ve just been a Daniela solo track and a lot of my criticisms would disappear. Lara and Yoonchae stood out too, but Daniela outshined them. My issue with the lyrics and the innuendos are that they feel cliché and ditsy. The lyrics don’t need to be deep, but It would be nice if the lyrics could be more creative and witty. I just hate for a group of girls that are so talented to be associated with a running joke of having dumb ditzy lyrics not the cute kind of running joke Yoonchae: “Carry my matcha, Mount Valley water | like my mochi drenched in chocolata” it doesn’t help that people already joke about how many brands are featured in their videos At this point, I feel like they should just split up KATSEYE into like sub units or something if they plan on continuing with this direction So the other members can do concepts that allow everyone to shine. Or at least film quality performance videos for their more vocal forward tracks.
