Did the right Director go home?? Which performance was your favorite??

I also reacted to BAILEY's special stage because some people were saying the comments were echoing my concerns about the microphone. I also had some additional thoughts.

EP 7 is split for next week because this took 2 hours, so another almost 3 hour video may be too much 😅 ALSO! The audio for this video were all over the place. I had to keep adjusting the volume when I was watching.

Recently, I’ve been falling out of love with K-pop because of VOCALS. It feels like most groups don’t even try to hide the lip-syncing anymore. I don’t want to invest my time and money in idols who don’t seem to make an effort to sing live. Especially after seeing SB19 and BINI at Lollapalooza and Coachella showcasing their live vocals, my standards have gotten higher. BABYMONSTER is still delivering, though! Honestly, you’re not much of an artist in my eyes if you’re not even singing live. You’re basically just dancing like the backup dancers, what’s the difference? It’s honestly sad because I love K-pop so much. But vocally speaking, P-pop is doing it for me right now.

- I agree with people about the Bailey criticisms. She can absolutely establish herself as an artist with incredible dancing, but the performance she chose/gave just felt like a dancer playing dress up as an idol. - EDM is def not popular in Korea. K pop labels may have had their little phase there for a second, but that doesn't translate into wider society. DJs in clubs here will play like, Bruno Mars to Ed Sheeran to Jay Park to Eminem. I don't find clubs here to be very fun because of how bad the music is. - "Object" was misspelled the whole episode for some reason lol - I appreciate what Nain was going for, but I don't know why she thought she could win with that. It was nice to see her so smiley, though. She def brought the joy. - Love the drama of BabyZoo's - Minjun's becoming one of my favorites. His last Last Stage performance actually had me in tears. & this one, too, felt quite emotional. Like you, I think his song choices are fantastic. When he said the boxes were meant to act as a road, I thought of the black lines going across them like lines on a road. - Kasper's was my favorite, at least in the way he utilized the cubes. He threw that cube at the end and I said, "ooop. That was hot." lol It's sad, but I think the right person was sent home.

objet apparently exist and it means a decorative object that is displayed for an intention. at first i also thought it was misspelt, but after the next few last stages, i see why they use objet instead of just saying object. tbf, that even explains further that the objet they used should be displayed for an intention instead of just being a background tool etc

i agree. i think there needs to be as much investment in the vocal training department as there is in dance. we can only watch performances so much but we need stuff to listen to. that’s how we fall in love with songs, put them on repeat and then eventually would love to hear those songs live. i do see a lot of people wanting more emphasis on the vocals too tho

oh that’s a real word?? damn haha. you learn something new everyday! but yes i agree. also if it’s just gonna be a backdrop then there’s no difference than any other performances. so having them as the main focus should be the priority

yeah Nain’s an incredible director and honestly without the prop context, her stage was pretty fantastic. she would definitely be hired for movie musicals and grand stages.

I watched a special video called "Last Stage Commentary," where the dancers talked about how heavy the cubes were and how the weight kept them from doing everything they wanted to. Even so, they managed to pull it off. I think the production team gave them a mission that was way too difficult. I believe singers should sing live. I understand that lip-syncing for part of a performance might be necessary in some situations. However, I don't think they should lip-sync the entire performance. To me, singing live is an important part of being a singer.
