Also correct me if I'm wrong, but he was also stealing, cause the concubine's dad was blackmailing, so he was giving some of the emperor's goods to her father to sell, cause the dad knew of their relationship and was using it as blackmail.

Jeff you have me laughing at your reactions. This is a classic K-Drama, girl pretends to be boy love story. It's pretty common-is K drama trope, it presents that whole romance ideal/trope of loving the person for who they are inside, no matter what.

That annoying a**hole guy is definitely not the Emperor (China). From what I know and based from the historical dramas that I've watched before, during those times the Emperor was in a higher position than the King of Joseon (Korea) and they're a bigger country too. They wanted to be in the good side of the Emperor so that's why they're being very careful of the Envoys sent to them. Somehow it's like how you treat the envoys will reflect on how much you value the relationship between the two countries. Disrespecting them was like disrespecting the other country too and somehow the Emperor as well. 🙂 I'M SO LATEEEE! HAHA I really enjoyed your reaction. Thank you as always! ☺️
