Jeff, I know you watched Queendom s2 during/after this show since I already watched that reaction. Did you recognize Mashiro from Girl Group 2 in this episode when you watched that show? She ended up in Kep1er.

I'm not a cub (Woojin fandom name), but I feel bad for Woojin. He was proven innocent, yet his reputation was nearly shattered forever. I think deep down, the fandom never really cared for Woojin, that's why when the accusation came about, it was completely one sided. It took him years, but I'm glad he was able to somewhat bounce back and make music again.

Early Stray Kids was very very rap heavy and very much 3Racha based and you'll definitely notice that during the survival show. Even after their debut you could also see from maybe the first two comebacks that the three of them would get a majority of the lines, but after that there was definitely a change in line distribution and the other members really got to showcase more. I'm really glad that you've decided to react to this and I'm definitely looking forward to rewatching this with you

This feels like a blast from the past since I only watched it while it was airing and haven't seen it since. A little explanation on Skz's backstory and what the survival show is about. Stray Kids were selected by Bang Chan. Usually when a new group debuts, the lineup is decided by the company but this time Chan was the one who decided on the members. The whole survival show is centered around the kids proving to JYPE that they should let them debut with this lineup.

I guess I'll answer your questions as I watch. The showcase was to decide which team would debut. The company had decided and picked the lineup for the girls team and Chan had picked and produced the boys team. The two teams were competing to decide which would debut first. Also the solo girl you saw (Lily) is debuting with NMIXX under JYPE this month.

This is gonna be my first time watching this as well. I don’t know why I avoided this much to watch their survival show. I saw a lot of clips of it but I never watched it fully. Maybe I didn’t want to cry lol. But yeah. I’m excited to watch it with you Jeff!

Haha to clarify, IF the girls team had been selected to debut, then the name of the show and the group would not have been Stray Kids. The name of the show was decided after we knew which group was debuting, and I believe Chan is the one who named the group and created their logo as well. Its in his handwriting too. This is why Stays call Stray Kids, Chan's group rather than JYP's group.

Let me provide some background of the show.. I watched the show when it’s aired, everyone watched it at that time should know the boy group would be the debut team as Hellevator MV has already been released beforehand. The promotion of the show stated that is “Stray Kids vs JYP”, so at the time being, it’s quite nerve-wracking to watch through the show because you would not know if the group would debut at the end of the show. It’s interesting to watch this again along with your commentary, definitely enjoy it!

To Isabelle: He left because of personal reasons and that’s all we know. It’s written like that in the official Jype statement. It said that he left for personal reasons and that everyone should support him in the future.

"never really cared" is a bit much cus i rmr when he started to open his personal socmed accounts (before the accusations), there was still a lot of support for him from stays. i think the reason why his scandal blew way out of proportion is bcus of 1. its an sa accusation of a freaking idol + he did not handle it well at the start 2. how hard it must have been for skz at that time and it showed so it's a 1+1 deal aka the perfect way to hate him

I think he handled it well (I’m not saying it was the best way) but I think because of mistranslation of his statement, it got out of hand too quickly. I don’t think there is a best way to handle this. If I was accused of something this serious, I honestly wouldn’t know what to do. I wasn’t a fan of skz back then so I don’t know about the support that stays gave to him but I heard from the stays from that time that there were fans who were commenting ‘now I can comfortably say he is ugly’ etc so I don’t think that was nice from the fans as well. I think that kinda shows that some of them (I’m only talking about toxic people) were not exactly a fan of him right from the start. I’m sure skz had difficulties at that time. It’s not easy to lose a member, a friend specifically and also re-recording for the album and everything. I understand stays would be hurt as well but it’s obvious that Woojin had a really hard time alone too. I just hope some day, all of this hate will stop and everyone will move on from this. Cause the more we’re stuck, the more everyone’s gonna get hurt.

@Talar no need for the apology over the long comment cus i enjoyed reading and reflecting on it :))! i think this is the best take on this whole situation so yea,, im just indifferent towards woojin now though at times i still get upset but now that i read ur comment, i cant imagine how much he must have felt after reaching rock bottom and the fact that he didnt give up and strived to still be in the industry today speaks volume + is admirable. i probably still be wont checking his stuff but i also hope stays would move on and stop bringing him up for laughs or clout.

Honestly I'm still uncomfortable with him, not because I believe the accusations, I know he was proven innocent. But because of how the boys reacted to the whole departure and how suspicious the whole situation was. I just don't trust him anymore. But I don't hate him, I just ignore him.

God it's so weird to watch this, for one because of how much they grew up and changed since then, But also because i'm reminded of how I felt and what I thought about each one of them back then which is very different from how I view them now.
