Sorry this was a bit late guys! I got an unexpected audition over the weekend. This will happen from time to time now that the actors' strike is done.

ALSO- I had limited time today to film so I prioritized my faves and the ones that I normally cover.

18:35 NewJeans

32:38 ZB1

48:47 aespa

01:03:27 SHINee

Laura

I loved the performances! Also are u still gonna react to street girls dance fighter episode 2? Because episode 3 is coming out today 😄

kit

Fun fact, Dream recreated scenes from Chewing Gum, We Go Up, and Hello Future in their VCR for Like We Just Met. Also, want to give a shout-out to Mark who injured his knee before the award show and still put on a great performance. Hope SM gives him some time off to heal.

Michelle Ricci Mojado

Briizeville are crying because the dancers’ wardrobe is similar to Seunghan’s outfit in GAG MV. It’s like them saying that they are always seven. 🥹🧡

eve_ss

You have to see NCT Dream's reaction to Riize (especially in Get A Guitar dance break 😍) they were GAGGED! HAHA jumping and clapping for Riize I love them ❤️ Oh and did you notice Riize back dancers outfit? It was similar to Seunghan's stage outfit 🥹❤️ We need him back. I hope it's soon. 🙏

Jee Emm

My fave AESPA stage so far!! They improved so much!!

Sed

Definitely live vocals with the live band! I was kinda upset with the audience tho coz they’re just recording on their cellphones, like hello?! Who cannot scream and vibe with these songs?! RIIZE has been on the news and limelight because of their amazing year end awards stages. They keep surprising us! How to move on?! 🧡😩🥹🔥 Btw, the talk saxy recording video is up on their yt R&R. Tho again SH part was edited (there were parts his voice can be heard tho) I hope you still react to it because it’s so amazing! 🧡🤞🙏🏻

jeffavenue

i ammmm i just had to miss last week cause i had to use the timeslot for MAMA. i was also sick for 2 days so everything's pushed back

jeffavenue

awww poor mark! hoping for his quick recovery. i did see a clip of him limping after the show but didnt know it happened before the show. hes such a pro.

jeffavenue

yess i can watch the reaction fancams now. ive been avoiding them before this haha

jeffavenue

glad riize is getting the recognition they deserve! still contemplating on if i wanna react to the new eps without SH cause many here are also boycotting it.

marlyse

aespa fr ate down my fav performance for sureeee!! sm finally came in w production lmao made up for the fact that le sserafim couldn’t be there after their iconic stage last yr 🥲

Laura

No worries i hope you feeling better !

eve_ss

I feel like ever since SM established their center divisions for their artists they've been very competitive with each other HAHA I mean just look at all these crazy comebacks we got from SM artists this year and as well as these award shows stages. They're on FIREEE 🔥 Like Finally SM!!! You got it right this time. (Still hate you tho lol) It's starting to become a meme now actually. Hahaha SM artists also been mentioning their own center divisions on their award speeches. It's like they have their own inside joke about it 🤣 I love it! Lol

chloe

aespa and kiss of life stages >>>>

eve_ss

It's a system used by entertainment companies. So before all SM artists was managed by single individual production team led by Lee Soo Man. Now they're divided into 5 separate divisions to focus on specific groups/artists. Each divisions have their own production directors and leads. Probably to be more efficient as well since SM has so many active groups right now. Center 1 - Kangta, Boa, Girls' Generation, Aespa Center 2 - SHINee, and the upcoming girl group I think? Center 3 - TVXQ, Red Velvet Center 4 - NCT all units Center 5 - Super Junior, EXO, Riize

안치누나 - anchinoona

Fun fact - Wonbin has been played guitar since he was in primary school but more like a hobby. He started to learn it professionally when he became trainee at SM and he can play both very well. Same goes for Anton, he was in school orchestra band before and he hold position for head of cellist in band if I remember correctly (he used to tell this during fan call event). Rumors also that the rest of members can play other instruments but I guess SM will show us later. How come this company find the best of the best trainee and keep them hiding for many years!! Can't wait to see more from these kids! Btw, I feel like SM did pay more attention and money to prepare a stage for MMA than MAMA (well, all pink blood knew the beef b/w them lol). And I feel so happy for all SM artist attending this award show, they got a very great support for each other. Every one being so supportive!! Love their reaction during the other SM family member performs!

Syah Riza

Jeff did you notice that Like We Just Met VCR is actually they recreate the scene from their old MV like Chewing Gum & We Go Up.. I'm fcking crying watching that VCR

mac

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7ZoNhm4YGg&t=328s Watching the fancam of the other idol groups standing up and vibing to SHINee's performance made me tear up for some reason. 🥲 Thinking that Aespa, ZB1, Riize, NJ, etc., were kids who grew up listening to those songs and now they're sharing the same stage... 🥲 I can't LOL get me out of here 😂

jeffavenue

this is good so groups are better managed and not relying on one person to make all the big decisions

Bethany R

aespa absolutely killed it!!!

minghow

I love all MMA stages! SM dominated for sure! Aespa is serving (their best TT imo), NCT DREAM’s Broken Melodies stage made me sooo happy and I think I’m falling into Riize rabbit hole lol. And Shinee.. KINGS!!! Idols of idols! P.S. all live vocals are prerecorded, only Shinee’s Hard was live live. You can sometimes hear Hao and Taerae’s voices overpowering the prerecorded vocals because mics are on, the AR/prerecorded live vocals are just too loud. But I don’t mind it when the stages are so good.

Lynn

Yes I loved the royal kind of arrangement for Crush, definitely added to the GRAND aspect! Have you seen the fancams of ZB1's reactions to the MMA stages of Shinee and other artists? They are hilarious and soo relatable! Also, apparently Ricky (and I think one other member) had to learn his solo in 20 minutes between rehearsals the day right before the actual day of MMA cause it was added so last minute!! Ricky mentioned it during their fanmeeting. And I believe Yujin was also somewhat injured during MAMA and MMA (you could see it when he held his leg during his first solo) The boys worked really hard for this and I hope they can get osme rest soon! Btw I hope you're feeling a lot better than you were!

Ashlei Arceneaux

OMG YES! I swear the first photo of Anton I saw I was like he looks like Taemin lol.

Avianna Yang

My favorite stages are of NCT DREAM, RIIZE and KISS OF LIFE. I think you'd enjoy KISS OF LIFE so much especially their b-sides, vocals and choreo but I understand you'll need time to get into them. I'd love it for you if you can watch their debut era music videos in correct order bcs they're all connected to their main debut title track which is SHHH for your full enjoyment. They just had their first comeback with BAD NEWS and it's so good as well. The members were mostly trainees of BIG3 and they release recording clips of their songs kinda like NCT's UNCUT stuff.

kaela

i think it's because sm's previous performance director (thisissimpleisbest) left which is why the sm end of the year perfomances have been leveling up recently? i've always felt that it's a shame that the end of the year stages of sm artists for the past years have just been fancier music show stages which is why i'm soooo happy with the improvement in this year's! also zb1's perfomances from mama to mma back to back have been so grand i'm so excited for the rest of their stages this award show season.

Ashley

The Backup dancers are wearing seunghan's outfit

jeffavenue

lol glad that performance director left then hahahhaha. he was doing the bare minimum with these top tier talents

Ashley

Onew is still on his health hiatus.

Lena

aespa's performance was everything!! This is the level of quality that we knew aespa could do and deserved but their previous performance directors were lacking in my opinion. Also I feel that the girls confidence has grown a lot during their hyperlink tour and I am really seeing them grow as performers which is such a joy to watch

jeffavenue

yes i agree!! love that for them! hope these kinda treatment continues cause the girls are more than capable!

tada dadam

also, now sm have centres, which probably means different performance directors for different centres, so the stages been looking greaaaaat🤩

Star Galaxy

Come to Jingle Ball, Jeff! I heard they're performing special stages for it! They might do poison there....or Candy Ft. Ice Spice and Nicki Minaj🤣 Also, idk if you've seen already but they uploaded a dance practice for Poison!

Kathy .03

I don't think you noticed, but the back dancers in Talk Saxy was dressed in Suenghan outfit from Get a guitar. Was just a tribute to him or sending us a message he's coming back soon!!!

leeharper.37.5

Wonbin has played guitar since he was 10, and I don't think you noticed that they didn't cut Seunghan's voice out during the last verse where he sang " talk saxy talk saxy girl" I don't know if it is a sign or something else.

Hana

As much as I love the ZB1 boys, I think they need a better choreographer especially for end of the year performance. MAMA was great but MMA when after watching other groups' performances is a bit disappointing

GopherCake

Shotaro took ballet, gymnastics etc. he said that since he had the opportunity to take dance growing up he would try everything. Hip hop was just his favorite

jeffavenue

their choreographers definitely put more effort for MAMA. probably a schedule/time constraint since they just had a comeback and then straight into awards season. and those 2 were back to back + flying from Japan.

jeffavenue

did not know that. where does he mention this?

LiveLaughLoveZonZon

Even if the crowd were dead…the idols were screaming and jumping for Shinee. 😂

Roda

aespa's stage is insane! Grabe diba?! 😂 Drama become my fav song of them after this stage.

Hana

I know the boys are busy and don't want them to be overly stressed too... just comparing to how riize doing great on both award shows feels bit disappointed

Aisyah Sofea

AAAA I THOUGHT THAT YOU WERE GOING TO REACT TO KISS OF LIFE PERFORMANCE 😭😭😭😭

Hana

true, but it was a bit underwhelming personally... I guess I am just kinda strict on groups that I stan

jeffavenue

oh sorry I don't really know them and haven't seen them mentioned on my comments before 😅

Jill Busch

Jefffff!!! are you reacting to 2023 Asia Artist Awards? I'm really looking forward for you to react to SB19's and &TEAM Collab stage!!! So proud of our fellow Filipinos making their way up in Pop Industry!! Thank you jeff!

Bruklyn W.

Omg how have I never realized that you don’t know kiss of life? I came here for their reaction too! Please look into them, I think you would enjoy it. I think they’re similar to G-idle and Le sserafim in the way that they have a super strong badass women vibe and their music is really good. Suuuper talented members and their MMA performance was one of my favorite from that night

Bruklyn W.

Yes these were also my favorite of the night! I also think Jeff would enjoy kiss of life and he may know Natty from Sixteen though I’m not sure?

Sabi

aespa killed it

Arriane

Hi jeff☺️ Please react soon to kiss of life.

Sidharth (시드하르트)

Watching this MMA 2023-AESPA performance reaction before you post your MMA 2024. Aww, it's been a year. Aespa really deserves all their recognitions and all their Daesang awards. Thank you Jeff 🫶
