yay!!!! i’ve been checking patreon every day since december 28th! 😭

Deiseree

Wahhh it’s finally here!!! Happy New Year Jeff🎉 Been waiting for this reaction🥹

ilays

i thought about messaging you about the new My Demon eps and the new NCT Dream Starstuck ep (specifically when the kpop dance one was released bcs it was so cute and you'd LOVE it) but i held back like "let's respect his holidays break so he can relax 😭" But at least you're catching up after having fun and now you can enjoy it even more 💯

ilays

Also your question about actors secretly having crushes on each other and not being able to do anything about it, i know that the main actors—Park Boyoung & Park Hyungsik—of "Strong Woman Do Bong-Soon" (an iconic romantic comedy drama where the chemistry of the main couple was EVERYTHING and a lot of the romantic antics was unscripted) admitted that Park Hyungsik fell for her—she liked him back too but i don't think it's confirmed—but Park Boyoung wanted to focus on her career and didn't want to be in a relationship at the time, so they didn't end up dating. Which 100% makes sense with how actresses are treated in korea after getting into a relationship; they don't get as much opportunities as their male counterparts and end up basically fading away.

iTanasia

you are the only person that understands star jin

Deiseree

I’m also wondering how she’s alive. Someone on twitter did mention that since demons were not supposed to kill or bring someone back from the dead.. and if she did die.. then Gu won might have to face the consequences later on. Btw, they won Best Couple Award. Kim Yoojung & Song Kang also won Top Excellence Award for actor-actress in a mini series. Our couple did that despite the show being still on going🥹🥳🎉 About the 91 she wrote on the cake. 9 (gu) 1 (won) 😁

Valeria C

I literally check everyday for your reaction. The waiting was painful 😂 😭 these two episodes are amazing

Julie Pham

Ahhh I was waiting for you to see this!!! The BTS of that bed scene was hella cute. Who can be mad if they do date in real life lol they’re too pretty together it just makes sense

Nabs Yien

I feel you when you said you wanted them to date and get married in real life. There's actually a discussion in theqoo about them that knetz and other people wish them to be married in real life and they wish them happiness if that will come true lol. Song Kang & Yoo Jong actually always do adlibs on their scenes, like when Gu Won was throwing the soju and Do Hee still drink through her hand was Yoo Jong's idea. I saw on twitter that Do Hee symbolizes Water while Gu Won is fire, hence the reason why the tattoo was transferred to Do Hee when they're in the water and it doesn't come back to Gu Won even after trying to fall to the water again. And the tattoo was transferred to Gu Won when they're in the fire. I actually think Do Hee was trying to kill herself by drinking the poison before the car crashed to the store because the bottle of poison was open.

Nabs Yien

I was patiently waiting for your reaction because I know you'll go bananas because of the happenings in the drama lol. I'm so inlove with this drama and to Song Kang & Yoo Jong. Their behind the scenes makes me delulu, like Song Kang is sitting on top of her when they shot the Bed scene mygad!!

Laure

Thank you Jeff for this! I hope you enjoyed your break :) About Madam Ju, I am not sure if I am right but in an earlier episode, there was a scene with Madam Ju and Dohee's parents' car accident. The outfit she wore during that scene was the same one when she was in the shower in this episode during the flashback.. I feel like she might have a link to Dohee's parents' death. But this is just my hypothesis

Julie Pham

I think the way the tattoo transfer is if one of them sacrifice themselves for the other to live. In the 1st situation, instead of swimming up to save herself, she explicitly said "if I just leave him here I can survive" but she choose to hold on to him to save him and that's when the tattoo transfer to her. Same here, he chose to hold on to her instead of saving himself so that's when the tattoo switch.

HollyMai9

I think the tattoo transferring has to do with both being near death and being willing to die to save the other. There's definitely some fuckery with the "past life" as to why his powers glitched to begin with in ep1.

jeffavenue

probably! and that’s why she took her in? like because of guilt

fayewaters

Hi Jeff! Park Jihoon has a new drama called 'Love Song For Illusion' only 1 episode is up for now, but hoping you could check it out and maybe it's something you would like to react to in the future! :)

T

At 1:33:04 Dohee and Jeff had literally the same expression😂

Christine Nguyen

I was just thinking where is Madam Ju's husband? I know we thought when she said the apple doesn't fall far from the tree we thought that was referring to her son and her grandson. For some reason I don't think she is referring to herself as the tree. This is just a theory but I think she is referring to her husband/father of her son. In the letter she expresses guilt or something along the lines of needing to pay for her sins. She said something about "giving birth to the devil's spawn" Like that is one of her sins. I don't think she is an evil killer like her son, grandson, and potentially her husband. The show seems to be hinting at her somehow feeling at fault for Do Hee's parents death. I am wondering if Madam Ju intended to kill just her husband but Do Hee's parents were unintended casualties as well.

Ana

It really is fascinating when a manhwa/webtoon you read/reading becomes drama. I love watching with you by the way!

Lynn

Those two are EXACTLY who I thought of when he asked that question too! Im happy someone else mentioned them lol
