Fangs Update 2 (Patreon)

just wanted to give a little update on a Sunday night. i now have 10 sketches put down, thats one third of this book.

the sketches aren't anything exact, just something so I have a visual and direction so I'm not going blind. I'll want to push them more, stylize them more once I actually draw them, but having a loose roadmap is going to help a lot working on this as my side project for the year.

talked to a printer this week, I have my deadline for when I need all the art done to tentatively release the book maybe for Lightbox Expo 2026, which I might table at as well. I'm still not sure if I actually want to table again (I had put it behind me after LBX 2022 (2021? who can remember) but it might be a smart move to sell a new book).

I have a few covers lined up to work on in the beginning months of the new year, so I'm still trying to figure if I want to work on Fangs while I also work on the covers (on top of a day job) to keep a "1 illustration a week" schedule, or just focus on the covers and try to get them done as quickly as possible so then I can just have the rest of the year for Fangs.

but what I do know is my goal is to finish all 30 sketches by the new year, so expect another look at everything in the next few weeks.
