A special animation, made for our 10th anniversary!

I wanted to share this video with supporters on Patreon before posting it publicly on Twitter, FB, and the DZO site later in the week.

This project took a while to finish, but it was a lot of fun to do! Long time supporters may notice some footage was recycled from a previous DZO animation--but we completely recolored those sequences to match the VHS aesthetic.

Our goal was to try and match the look of '80s/'90s anime, especially the OVAs of the era, and giving the footage that 'soft' analog appearance was a big part of it.

Several artists worked on this, including Kshatriya, Kimi, and Hinca Productions.

"Pallad city can't be that bad, can it?" Oh Reena, you sweet naive unexperienced girl... 😏

Joral

P.S. So cool to hear Reena and Madison speak! 🤩👂

Joral

P.P.S. I really, really wish this was an actual full length episode, or at least a oneshot OVA. The premise and animation is so good! 😩

RHM-kun

I just love how this turned out! From the Manga Entertainment-esque logo, to the grainy 90s cop anime feel, to the addition of the animated short from half a decade ago! Aaah memories! Happy 10th Year Anniversary, DZO! Glad to still be on this ride! Onto more sexy and gritty stories with DZO!!!

FloatingRaccoon

This was awesome! Definitely captured that era of anime with this.

FloatingRaccoon

Imagine the Madison VS Nihil fight animated! That'd be so sick!

Mr. L

Really liked the 90s era scenes included.

Joral

Personally I'd wanna see a Miss Bliss interrogation animated. 😏

Erik

Absolute *CINEMA!!!*

James Emmons

Too bad you can't use the real graphics from DZO on YouTube. And VHS? Oh my - yeah the 90s vibe hit unexpectedly. Good work!

This reminds me of that old Akira TV add, when Anime was first starting to been announced on TV, i would love to own this video, so glad i kept my VCR XP Congratulations on the 10th anniversary!, i can't believe that it has been that long, i STIL remember reading the first chapter of DZO in the official site!, then joining the patreon to read it sooner along with the "other chapters" ; D

Arella KonEl

whoa! that was so damn good!! total 90s vibes! great work! like so many, i would LOVE this b a few length feature! 😁

Fantastic! Reminded me of the Robotech cartoon from the 80s, only with smoother animation. And the butt jiggle as one of them pulled on her skirt or pants/shorts was chef's kiss perfect!

Seriously, there REALLY NEEDS TO BE an animated series of this series here, Midnight. And not just amazing fan-art, I mean a REAL Animated series. Perhaps maybe it should be approved in Japan or something……….
