Look, I'm all for beating him up but killing him probably wouldn't be in character for Mari. Plus the monkey will probably kill him soon anyways.

I think he's misjudging how much leverage he has 2 shots versus 3 people unless he can get use one of the other weapons to kill the last person.

Uh, he does realize he only has two rounds, right? Provided, of course, the gun’s even loaded to begin with. Even if he takes out two of them, there’ll still be one left to take him down. Real criminal mastermind, right there.

Shotguns have a wide spread so it’s possible two people can be hit with just one shot. Even if it’s not fatal, it might be enough to seriously injure them and he could finish them off with their own weapons, especially with the knife or baton.
