Salaiix decided to create 3D models for the opening scene of Chapter 26, where we meet Rosamie.

We've seen classrooms a few times before at Sumter Academy, but this was the first time we used 3D models for one. It was a massive help for mapping out all of the desks/chairs, along with the front/rear of the room. Various angles can be seen in the images above.

We also put a lot of thought into planning out the placement/poses of Mora, Siyo, Zoe, Ayla, Nomi, and Sharin. This was especially important for when Sharin blocks Rosamie from leaving.

Salaiix and Midnight be designing entire 3D models of classrooms to plan out a scene in their comic, and then there's me still struggling with perspective and shading. 👏😅

I forget what Salaiix said he uses, but I believe it's Blender.

That’s why instructors insist in doing live model studies or working from reference(like these 3D models). Live models can’t hold a pose forever so you build technique in order to quickly establish the sketch. Then once you have the general pose down you can focus on proportions and other nuances. One trick that helps me with light/shading is taking an image and removing all saturation. Once you have the image purely in greyscale it’s easier to notice the differences in contrast. There’s more I want to say but it does take time getting things right. Don’t worry Joral we all struggle with these concepts lol
