I can't say I care much for this shift in focus to generic vanilla sex that can be gotten anywhere.

Chill dude, its been a couple more wholesome scenes for the last few CGs, especially for OG, giving players something who want a good ending.

Sure and that's fine but in my opinion you are diverting resources from what makes these games have their niche appeal just to cater to a fringe audience of typically male unimaginative people who just want to make every game into a waifu simulator instead of your core. It's also my view that endgame filler content like this diminishes the theme and feel of the game overall, for the same reason that you don't have an epilogue in Resident Evil where everyone hangs out at the cafe.

To be fair, most Resident Evil games end on pretty optimistic and sappy notes, generally with the main character chilling in a vehicle as they ride off into the sunset. I think having some lighter stuff at the end of OG is a nice relief, and doesn't take away from the game's overall atmosphere and tone, it's really a story about humanity prevailing, and it's nice to see the main character who's spent the whole game being abused and sexually assaulted have the chance to reclaim her sexuality and express it healthily. If the game was filled with stuff like that I might agree, but I think the balancing tones and variety of kinks and sexual partners is part of what makes these games stand out from others, and optional end-game content like this isn't even the only thing being worked on in this update, so it's hardly a full diversion of resources.

My stance is simply that this sort of thing can be inferred in an ending and we don't need multiple scenes of vanilla sex in a game that was not marketed or sold on this, especially when some of the primary content is light and the quality of some of the initial art while not bad is inconsistent with later art. What makes this game stand out from others is the sexual survival horror. Adding content that can be found in literally any waifu simulator out of the hundreds upon hundreds of those there are is detrimental to that. Moreover the content being "optional" in a "complete" game doesn't change that these are resources, particularly *artist time* being dedicated to this and not something else more fitting of the genres of this or Claire's Quest.
