I chose this route as this is better for her future to raise Leon since her hubby is most likely dead. Claire is traveling too much to be with her. At least she has a home, job, and the such even if she has to give herself over to him.

The Money

Well she is crying cause how much she dislikes it, plus given how much of a jerk the guy is, he’ll likely not care for a wife or her kids and presumably neglect them. And while we have no idea what Claire’s end game will be, if her visits are just frequent trips, or if she's able to provide even better for them eventually, that would still be more than the monocle wearing fop from how I see it going lol

Eh, she's being corrupted. Eventually she'll like it like corrupted Claire enjoys stuff after she's corrupted enough. As for still have a home, job, and ect... We learned that it's hard to get a job for refugees - let alone have a place to stay, especially for a single mother/widow. This is her best bet for survival. It's either this or the streets if Claire doesn't decide to hook up with her.

She was on the streets with no money or a job until that man agreed to take her in after Claire convinced him that she was worth it. So yes, she got a lot out of this from him. Don't pretend she had options cuz Claire isn't sticking around and she isn't the one paying her a wage or for her lodging/food or for Leon. Claire is on a Quest after all and isn't rolling in money either. Furthermore, in the corruption arc he doesn't force her, she chooses to in exchange for what he's offering her which Claire can't.

Claire cries too in her corruption stuff before succumbing. So not seeing the issue here. The guy is scum but she is benefiting from him as well.

For a real corruption dark path he knocks her up and then discards her on the street, forced to work out on it with even more financial issues.
