Hi hello ~A little while ago it was suggested that I try to do some asmr-style unboxing videos. - They're a fun format for relaxing "background noise fall asleep to" content, and while I might not be particularly experienced in the field of video recording, I was sure the relaxing chit chat was right up my alley.!

So here's a little attempt in creating something different for you to enjoy while I work on my next audio.

I've considered maybe reintroducing the hand-camera to my twitch streams too. Let me know what you think? Also, for other types of video content, what's something you might like seeing? Any and all feedback is very much appreciated. There will be another unboxing of a throne gift later in October too!ps. the video is unlisted on youtube, please don't share the link to it with anyone who isn't a patron. Thanks!

Crunchy does asmr unboxing?? [Patreon Exclusive]

So I've been testing my camera again - and while there is still some audio sync issues, lighting being a little glary, wobbly camera, focus.. you get the gist, the list goes on! That's what learning new things is all about - and I wanted you to get a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes for that, as a little bonus patreon video ~ Please do let me know if you found this enjoyable! And if you're seeing this, even though you're *not* a patron - gasp - why don't you go there and give it a whirl? It's a pretty cosy time :)

The infamous return of the handcam, whoda thunk 🤩🤩

Vera

This is lovely! 😊

Phantasm Cat

Hands of the almighty Crunch, how I miss you 💙🙌💙

livia

aw this is so sweet 🥹 I actually can’t wait to watch this, I loved hearing you talking about the cards on stream! The hand camera would be a fun thing to add…ahem. sorry, got lost in my thoughts… on another note, I love the little vlogs from before! especially the studio arhoj one, very stylish editing if I may say 🙂‍↕️. hope you have a good week, hugs 🫶🏻

Vergil

Gosh, the game really has come a long way since I last played. These are some amazing cards with endless potential. The art is absolutely terrific; it forever astounds me when so much passion and love is conveyed in 3 dimensions on a 2 dimensional space. Great pull. Fantastic video, Crunchy. Thank you for sharing this with us. 🌹🌹

pinkJoy_0

I love this! Video wise I would love more guitar practice 🙏🏽

larrylia

I missed you so much 💚 The main thing is that you liked using the camera on the stream. I agree to anything if it's about you.

agaslumbers

too tired to type anything rn except bubble smuggler sounds like a great career path oki goodnight ✨️

fleurfaust

Awww that was very lovely and nice, definitely loved this format! Thank you Crunchy and good night 💜

Ah how fun!! Used to play a lot of magic back in the day, and my favourite thing was just looking at the art, never got too good at playing hihi 🙈 Not usually a fan of asmr content tbh, but your version is really nice & cozy 🥺 (except for the chaotic squirrel ripping of the second pack haha so SQUEAKY ahh 😂) Hand cam for stream would also be nice 👉👈 (Video ideas are hard because idk what you’re comfy with/want to do with your platform, but I will happily watch anything from your favourite taco recipe to you just yapping in video format hihi)

Pretty cards!✨ Pretty hands!✨ Pretty play mat!✨ I didn't know what I was expecting, but I didn't know they recognized individual artists in these cards~ Very cool! Hehehe You're so cute trying to pronounce their names (I honestly didn't try lol) Congratulations on winning these! 🥳 And thank you for sharing them with us 💕 I'm still not used to your video content, but I think you did great on this one. Yes to more hand cams! 🙋‍♀️ Crunchy doing finger hearts uwu!!!! 😆🫶

Odreh

Yes to more hand cam c: I like this format a lot, it makes me feel like I'm looking over your shoulder while you show me your magic cards haha I love the idea of watching you write or do a puzzle for the same reason, it's a very cozy, relaxing vibe

jo

hand-camera on the streams? 🤔 hmmmm, idk, i mean it could be kinda nice i guess bu— YES, crunchy. yes. 100%. good idea, 10/10, bitte und dankeschön 🙈 okay i cannot describe how much i'm looking forward to this busy week that concludes a couple of way too stressful months to be over. because then i can finally catch up on content i missed and that includes yours! so i'm adding this to my mental list of beautiful things to be happy about (your stuff *and* your hands, wink wonk) & i'll be back on the weekend 🤧 appreciate you so much, take care 🤍🤍

Labrini

Shocked. I, too, could not, in fact, handle the truth. The intended way is at fault about the dent!! The second pack had no dented cards—only the first and third. Coincidence? I doubt it. You should trust my judgment, like the Hotshot Investigators; I'm usually right! 😂 The third pack felt really plentiful with its Mythic and the uncommons. Bubble Smuggler, Cold Case Cracker, Airtight Alibi were SO pretty! But the Detective’s Satchels? Chef's kiss—the details were beautiful. Are you sure about using a hand cam on the stream? I don’t know, ahhhmm, it might be too stressful. But in a video format like this, where you can control everything? Yes, please! It’s very relaxing. I’d love to watch you write, or anything, really. How about you carve a pumpkin for fall? 😂 Ok, time to go to sleep. Maybe another view as I drift off? MaY~be. Have a wonderful timezone, everyone.🤍 You, mister, and your hearts are very cute. Thank you 🥰 You’re great, Crunch. Have a nice, relaxing evening 🤍

That was lovely! I don't know the first thing about MTG other than what you've told us, but it was fun to watch and relax while you looked through the cards. The bubble smuggler was my favorite. As for the hand cam on stream, I still view Camera-chan with suspicion. 😜 But you know I'm a worry wart. I'll enjoy anything you decide to try. Thanks for this fun treat, Crunch. 🤍

Cor

Oh this was lovely to watch! The little background sounds were no bother, I hardly noticed them at all. And your voice sounds wonderful and soft, it's perfect for a little chill hangout moment like this. It's always really fun listening to someone talk about something they're interested in, and this reminds me a lot of when my sibling shows me new cards that he's acquired lately too! The red Mountain land art is so pretty and geometric, and the Bubble Smuggler is so cute! He's just a lil' guy! Yes please to more handcam stuff, it's fun seeing a visual expressiveness in addition to your voice! 🥰 maybe some guitar playing if you feel comfortable in future for other video things? I keep going back to the old one of you practicing, it's nice to have as "company" in the background. 💕

cosmicdreams

awww yay video content! idk anything about magic the gathering but i loved seeing all the cool art. seconding those suggesting another guitar practice video and i’d also love to see some rambles done in video format if possible/not too exposing. i’m picturing cosy floor rambles with cute sweaters and soft mood lighting, overhead lighting isn’t allowed in the crunchy cinematic universe ☝️ side note: you struggling to rip open the second card package and giggling and saying “how awful” in the sweetest tone made me laugh 😂 the juxtaposition tickled me digital hugs 🤍

Labrini

Oh, hi, good morning~ Would you look at that, I’m here again 😅 I’ve been drinking my coffee and thinking, maybe you could make a video where you explain the game for everyone? It’s been over ten years since I played, and I can’t say I recall much except for the basics. You know, pull aside some cards, explain what they’re used for, the artifacts, or terrains—what advantages they give. Wait, are terrain advantages from Yu-Gi-Oh cards? They are, aren’t they? 🤔 Anyway! You get what I mean—rotations, etc. Think of us as little noobs wanting to start playing. What do we need to know? I think it would be fun for everyone, and it’ll keep you rambling 🤭 Ok, bye! 🌺

Ami

aw this is so cool!! I'd love to see more video/hands content, it's a different vibe ❤️ one of my best friends plays/judges Magic, and I have two cards as souvenirs from her with beautiful art, but my fav of the two is Beast (Token Creature) by Vincent Christiaens.

Ellis

I don't play card games or know anything about cards really but this was fun to watch! I loved all the art More hand cam please! It would be cool to see you write or do puzzles as you suggested. Maybe a jigsaw? Or a Rubik's cube if you can do one. It'd still be entertaining if you can't tbh haha

Acedia

Did you ever say what kind/color deck you used? Just curious. I played a little bit back in college, but just mostly against my brother. I was a big fan of instant-heavy, blue decks. "I'm gonna tap this and summon this" "instant. no you don't" "well then I'll just tap these 2 and attack" "instant. no you don't" hehehe The new packaging on the boosters is 100% to cut down on scammers that reseal and resell packs.
