Omgggg look at that hairrrrr. I'm going to steal it off you while you're not looking. In other words, you're too powerful. (Someone), Labrini and Mariiii hiii~ Ahem. Beautiful guitar, beautiful playing, beautiful player ;) you're noodling w the guitar but I'm here tryna canoodle w you 🥹 (am I funny or am I funny) But seriously, the guitar playing is so nice to listen to, I feel so lucky every time you play it 💜 thanks for sharing Cromch. I have a grand total of 3 spoons w me, I don't mind sharing though if you'd like 👀 And hugs are always on the ready for you my darling. You don't gotta ask 💜 I have said this before but I'm still gonna say it: I'm so in awe of you and think you're really cool for the streaming and advent and crunch times while also doing all the irl stuff. Like it blows my mind on the daily. I still hope you get a good night's sleep my love. You deserve to be well rested after all you do 🥹💜 And uhh,,, as for other things you mentioned... I don't remember the last time I had a crush. Or maybe I do. I'll start by saying why it stopped being a crush. A friend of mine went over to his place (for some work) and told me later he doesn't put a bedsheet on his mattress. Like whaaaaaa Anyways. We used to eat at the same dining hall and in a hall filled w hundreds of students, it would be weird to Always end up there at the same time right? And often make eye contact? Because that's what used to happen. Day after day. My friends and I were convinced his group was looking at us as much as we were at them. The number of coincidences kept getting bigger and bigger. Like being at the same place on campus at the same time despite it being night time and not their usual place to hang out, to getting our chai at the same stall, going to the same clubs on the same nights, we were So Sure the crush was two way somehow. But then I was told about the mattress thing and I also got into a relationship so I stopped looking so I stopped seeing him everywhere too. I did become really close to one of his friends though eventually. And my friends said he (the friend) must have had a crush on me to come see me at night even though he lived not so close. So yeah, a lil fun story for you ig. Sorry about the wall of text.

With me, interactions/conversations with a crush always leaves me feeling elated and seen. Not knowing how they feel about me gives me butterflies in a kind of thrilling (?) way. Thinking of a possible encounter with a crush really makes me nervous though — like knowing I am probably going to run into them at some point in the day and will end up chit chatting. Sending good vibes for a good sleep <3 night cronch

Phantasm Cat

Dubose. Labrini. Mari... right? Did I get it right?! D,,: Sometimes, we have our spoons in order and are ready to triumph the day. Sometimes, our tote bag of spoons accidentally falls into a harbor due to us tripping on uneven sidewalk, and due to the heaviness of those spoons, that tote bag sinks down to the bottom, leaving us empty. It sucks when we lose those spoons, but your effort to take it slow and understand how much energy you're able to use for the day is still admirable. Still, sending forth many forms of cuddles your way. An unlimited supply, so don't be afraid to get a little greedy there 🫂 I have a spoon left to give, so let's see what my brain can churn here.. Crushes, and how they make me feel.. the easiest way to describe it is euphoric. There's a mix of excitement yet nervous, hands getting sweaty and clammy but you want to hold theirs anyway and hope they'd like to do the same in return. Their being, their way of thinking, they way they move their body.. it captivates me, and I have this eagerness to learn more about them, about why they think the way they do, why they move a certain way, what experiences have they gone through to become this enchanting person I've come to witness at that moment. Now, how crushes make me feel, again, it's a mix of excitement and nervousness. On one hand, experiencing these intense feelings and sensations is invigorating. You're experiencing a rush of good-feels, all the way up on cloud 9, and you never want to get down. This, in turn, makes me feel incredibly happy, and those happy feelings transfer to other parts of my mind. On the other hand, I do get nervous because of how intense it can be sometimes. I tend to overthink how I should be acting around that person, and it can be a bit anxiety inducing and make me feel like I'm making a mistake of some sort (I feel that I outgrew this over time and accepted that being myself is the most helpful. The thought does linger here and there, however). This is the best way to describe it, but I'm sure the second I press send, my brain will think of something else to add on, so I'll leave it here. Also, just in case, I consider this the danish word of the day: overskud. Is that the correct spelling? I'll check later, still figuring this out. Maybe with some chance and with all of our spoons given to you, you can get a decent amount of sleep. Even if you don't sleep much, at least you'll be warm in bed and trying to relax, knowing that we're here giving you calm digital cuddles. That matters, too. Thank you, Crunchy. Keep on keeping on, and stay safe 💙

Ok, the guesses this time were very easy: Dubose, me, and Marii. Also, can we take a moment to appreciate the thumbnail? Damn, Crunch, this is one gorgeous photo. The man bun... The guitar noodling was so nice and relaxing. I liked how slow and lazy it felt—if that makes sense. I wanna say that you could have left us with just the noodling, and we would have been happy, but I also get it. Sometimes it’s good to push yourself to do something “simple” when the mood isn’t there. It helps quiet the busy brain, even if just for a moment. I’m sorry to hear that your day took a turn. It’s so frustrating when things start off great, and then out of nowhere, you crash. And no, mister, I won’t worry—what do you take me for? A worry wart? Pfft, crazy >.> Crushes, though. They’re both simple and complicated for me—but always beautiful. I’ve had countless crushes through my life, but a few stand out as truly important. My first crush, for example, broke my little black heart, but it was also sweet—if that makes sense. It was a bittersweet feeling that I carried around for, oh, eight years? I knew from the beginning it was kind of hopeless, but you can’t control these things. He was such a goofball—sweet, funny, and ridiculously smart. He never failed to make me laugh, and that’s why I fell in love. Unfortunately, by the end, what had been sweet turned toxic, and I had to let it go. I mean, sure, in the end, we did end up having something, but it wasn’t healthy. By that time, he was living in London, I was here, and our lives never stopped. We still had that strange back-and-forth—telling each other about our day, other people, and once summer rolled in we’d be together for some monrths. But after a couple of years, it just felt wrong. Even now, I feel like I carry it with me—not in a bad way, but as a memory of how good it once felt. For me, crushes are beautiful, unexpected, and often fleeting. Falling in love and loving are two different things, and like you said, a crush feels like falling just a little bit in love. It’s a nice feeling, a mix of excitement and nervousness, especially those momentary ones—just a look or a smile that gives you butterflies. It’s such a boost! I might forget those eyes or that smile by the end of the day, but the thrill? That stays with me. The longer, more permanent crushes are harder to navigate, but they’re worth it. Being in their presence, getting to talk to them, tease them, flirt, or just listen—it’s all worth it, even if it doesn’t go anywhere. A small edit to add this: Although most crushes are fleeting and beautiful, when it comes to the more permanent ones that occur with people in my day-to-day life, they can sometimes feel overwhelming—mainly because my brain overthinks. I will find myself worrying about how to act because I can be very touchy, and I love to tease people. While most of my friends know that about me, it doesn’t necessarily mean they’re the same way. They accept me for who I am, but when it comes to those I crush on, I can’t help but worry at times. I get nervous, but I also melt in their presence, which makes me forget to be careful. It’s a constant push and pull. I said it can be overwhelming, and my brain doesn’t help, but the warm feeling overall makes up for everything. A friend once told me it must be exhausting to carry all these people and moments with me, but I disagree. It’s quite the opposite. Sure, some crushes end in heartbreak, but those memories, those feelings? They’re like petals of a flower that never withers. People might brush past, take a petal with them, or even rip one away, but they always leave something behind. Those little pieces of connection and emotion—they keep that flower alive. Even now, I can’t imagine going through life without saying, “Let me tell you, today I fell in love with the most gorgeous smile.” Those moments are what make life vibrant. I think I’ve yapped enough for now! I hope everyone is doing okay, and I hope you have the most wonderful timezone. Be gentle with yourselfs. Thank you for the sweet audio and the yapping prompt. I hope you win your “argument” with the busy brain and get some much-needed rest. Sending you tight hugs and big spoon energy your way. Kalinýchta, Crunch, I hope Hypnos has already found you. 🤍 🌺

The guitar noodling is as lovely as ever, there's a soft energy that feels very meandering. I love listening to things that are not as imbued with the same kind of intention as practice or a performance— hearing the music as you're noodling about almost feels like a synaesthetic representation of the colour of your thoughts. I hope that's not too poetic? Maybe I'm mixing my metaphors too much. The music is beautiful, is what I'm saying. And the picture, too. 😍 What a beautiful play of light and silhouette. Your hair looks so long now, and the amount of it tied up is very, very pretty. Would you accept some head scritchies? ☺️ Days go up and down, and it's...comforting, I guess? to hear how you work through it. Some days just ask a little more of you sometimes. Brain feel like soup. Body feels like jelly. Need to do some quiet time to recharge a little. Happy to provide some fellow gremlin company to keep the brain in check. --- Ok, now onto the ramble. I'm relistening to your guitar noodling to put my brain in the right mood. Bear with me if this gets a bit long-winded. Crushes have always been a bit funny for me. I remember coming to the realization a few years ago that crushes were supposed to "just happen", that you never really had a say in them— at leasr for most people. In junior high, I can recall kind of just...picking someone who I thought was cute, who I then decided to "have a crush on". To this day, I can't quite tell if it's because I really wanted something else to do with them, or if it was moreso a case of wanting to know them better as a person/ friend (and I just didn't know it at the time). It's been one of the things I've still had A Time sorting out and untangling— what the romantic and aromantic aspects of my relationships to others have been, and what they've affected as far as my knowing (or not knowing, as the case may be.) I do recall one boy I had feelings for in high school, though. A year older than me, very sweet, very nerdy, and his smile was like sunlight; it lit up his whole face. The very definition of beaming. I remember the feeling in my tummy; like a fizzy drink you drank too fast mixed with butterflies. They'd eventually settle down, but I remember always feeling just a little shy at first, before settling into the comfortability of hanging out. I don't think that feeling ever really went away, even after we became friends. There's a warm, gentle comfort that's sitting in my chest now, thinking about it. This odd little friendship that could go a few months or years in between talking, but we pick it right up again like it's nothing. It's been a few years since we talked last. I'm not sure whether to feel nostalgic or— not quite regretful? Maybe a little melancholic, at least— about losing touch. The first and only time I ever kissed him was in his car after a movie, sitting on my driveway, talking more because we didn't want to part ways just yet. I was bold enough to tell him I wanted to kiss him, but too shy to commit to one on the mouth, so the kiss was just on his cheek. He did blush very cute, I can remember that, at least. I think I told him so too, which only made him blush more. Funny how recalling all this makes it seem very Hallmark-romcom. My heart was nearly about to beat out of my chest at the time. It makes me feel soft and thoughtful, now. That is probably the closest I can think of as a long-term crush I've had. Kinda the foundation for me realizing my demiromantic inclinations— none of these bubbly feelings came up until I had established a friendship. I feel these things at perhaps a lower "saturation level" than most people, so I've only had a couple experiences to draw reference from. My fascination, and proceeding (variable) interest, in people has always been their mind. So, I need to *know* a person, before my brain catches up to thinking about having feelings for them, especially romantically-inclined ones. (Or, at least as far as I have been able to tell so far in my life 😅) I hope this was interesting for you to read. I suppose I didn't talk as much about how it made *me* feel as much as how I feel thinking *about* it. It's that funny reverse reciprocal knowledge about yourself at play again: you can only gain context of the past through your future experience to the present. Anyhow. I'm sure I've yammered on at this point. Thank you for reading my ramble. I hope sleep finds you well, and that your rest is sound. Kisses back, - cor 💕 (PS. The kisses to close out the crunchtimes are so sweet, it's one of my favourite bits. It feels like a kiss goodnight, every time. Ok, goodnight for real this time. Mwah mwah 😚)

Angel, please post this picture *-*, please, please. Don't you get tired of being so lovely? And one more thing, you can play guitar forever, my ears are yours. Thank you, I loved it.

When I am lacking motivation to work I usually tell myself… “10% is fine, let’s try again tomorrow”. Thank you for the crunch time audios. xxxxxxxxxxx About crushes... When I am crushing on someone I feel inspired to look a little cute. Hoping my crush notice me and smiles back. Crushes are like eye candy, damn he looks so good in those skinny jeans (yes, majority of my crushing era is during my emo phase). I will be attracted to guys that smell good, nice hands, cool tattoos, etc. The crush stage stops when I start caring about their emotions then it might move to liking the person or not… I had a crush on my childhood friend, I always referred to him as “the one that got away”. He is friendly, kind, compassionate, hilarious, and annoyingly cute. One day we were hanging out and he asked my opinion on the song he wrote. He sang and played the guitar to me and that’s when I realized I had a crush on him. Then he and his family moved to Russia. The end.

Ha, yes, for those guessing, I'm the first voice in this Crunchtime. 🙃 I find that my mood tends to go sour when I get overstimulated. Too much noise, too much activity to the point where I can't hear myself think makes me snippy and crabby and sometimes tearful if it gets REALLY bad. There's nothing to be done about it but what you did. Pulling back for some quiet alone time until I can regulate. I hope you feel better today. And if not, that's okay too. 🫂 Noodling is such a funny word. It makes me smile. I need to figure out how to work it into my vocabulary. As for crushes, I'm going to put a pin in this topic for a little later. Running a bit low on spoons myself this week, but it's a great topic. Looking forward to untangling that a little more in regards to my current crush. Thanks for saying hi to us. 🤍 P.S. This shadowy photo is 🤌🤩

Ree

Overskudd.. I don't honestly think I've had a lot of it this year ; u; I'm honestly just impressed with your ability to produce content and be active in the community lately, so running out of spoons and having to be a little guitar noodling basement gremlin sometimes is probably to be expected?

Acedia

With that gorgeous hair and the beautiful guitar noodling you'd make a very epic bard in a fantasy tavern 🗡️✨ Crushes? I think that's one of the things that everyone defines a little differently. For me, I hate to say, it can be a very shallow thing originally. Ive had countless crushes in my life. It's when I notice something about someone-even a stranger sometimes- that I'm attracted to and admire. It could be as simple as me liking their style/their talents/their quirky mannerisms. And it's always something uniquely them. But it sparks an interest to learn more and know all about the rest of them. I usually get disappointed on the 'rest of them' part lol. I crushed on a guy for years in highschool. He was smart, popular, and part of a set a fraternal twins which was interesting. But I later found out he was kind of an asshole to one of my friends and that killed it instantly. But there were many passing crushes that I never had the chance to get to know better because I'm too shy to ever pursue anything. It's a nice one-sided daydream more than anything real most times. Thank you for making the Crunch time even if you didn't have to. Hope your days only get better 💙

Mari

This was so wonderful Crunchy! I’ve been asking for more guitar content since I can remember and to finally have it feels like the biggest warmest hug - on that note I’d love to give you a big warm hug too; I hope your sleep makes you feel rested and washes away all your negative feelings (and hopefully the spoon fairy comes to you in the night and fills your stock right back up hehe). I have to say, I underestimated how much hearing my own voice in one of these would confuse my brain ahah (and between you and I mister, I’m glad you went with this version of the file hehe). Also, HOW DO YOU ALL RECOGNISE MY GIGGLE 🫵 feeling very called out in the best way lol, ily all 🤍 I’m not usually one to comment on these, but I always read everyone's comments, and the sweetness made me feel like I would like to be a part of the conversation this time. Crushes Crushes Crushes I’ve spent the last few days thinking and writing a lot about what it means to love for me (lovergirl assignment, if ya know ya know lol), so I have plenty of inspiration to draw from. I don’t have a particular story, and much less an accurate number for how many crushes I’ve had in my life. People are so magical to me that it’s difficult for my heart not to get tangled in the infinite number of connections there are to be made - it’s never enough. (Hey Siri play Someone New by Hozier lol) I’ve sort of embraced this idea of falling in love every day, with no limits or expectations - seeing beauty and attraction in everyone, allowing myself to be open to the world in all its chaotic, imperfect forms. And I think it’s in my nature to be the way I am - but that’s not to say it wasn’t hard to come to terms with. Not having a clear reference of anyone as intense as me, sometimes made me second guess if it was okay or not. I’m glad time has taught me that there’s nothing wrong or shameful about losing myself in love, not with abandon, but with the deepest sense of intentionality and surrender. I don’t choose to have them, much like I don’t choose to lose them, so crushes have always been fleeting to me. I never seemed to mind tho, my brain has a way of immersing itself so completely in the present moment that nothing else matters, and of understanding that nothing is permanent, yet choosing to cherish it all the more for its impermanence. Similarly, reciprocity is something that has never driven me - if love was only felt for the sake of being reciprocated it would lose all its meaning in my eyes. Love to me is immeasurable and unconditional. It’s inconsequential and inevitable at the same time, and if I can’t change the way my heart flutters in the direction it chooses, then why not accept it, and give it 100%? I’ve never shied away from vulnerability or intensity, I kind of just dive headfirst into moments of connection that feel electric and irreplaceable. And that’s what having a crush has always been like to me. I’ve been hurt, and hurt people myself, because of my willingness to act on impulse, to give in to the carnal side of intimacy without overthinking. But to me, it’s always been about kissing the homies on the mouth lol, and letting yourself be swept up by moments of connection. I truly believe intimacy is a healing experience for the soul, and sometimes that comes in the form of a carefree kiss or a fleeting feeling. The wheels in my brain are always turning in all the directions that make me see love all around. And I wouldn’t change that for anything. There’s so much meaning in reserving your heart, to only feel intentionally and with caution. Some people are made for each other, and it's a beautiful thing. But I’ve learned that my heart intentionally chooses and desires to be made for the whole world. And that’s okay. It’s quite impossible to explain, but I hope this enormous ramble gave away at least a little bit of how I feel. Sending kisses 🤍

Felideya

I'm pretty late but I'm sending you some warm hugs and kisses regardless and I hope you're having a better day today. 🫂💜 Oh, I love the noodling (such a funny word) in the beginning. I did that a lot when I learned playing the guitar - or, well... I tried to learn. My dad too, he was never really interested in learning to play songs, he just wanted to make sounds. :D I don't play any instruments anymore, but in a way guitar noodling (still funny) reminds me of just watching the paint flow and do its magical things when I work with watercolours. Sometimes that's enough to scratch a little creative itch or to just relax - observing colors blend into each other, listening to sounds sounding pretty (I'm such a poet). Crushes... hmm. They were easier and more lighthearted when I was younger, for sure. I had my very first "real" crush when I was 10, I think. It was a boy from my class and I remember how much I just stared at him, hoping he wouldn't notice. One time my friend - who also had a crush on him - and I were hiding in a bush on the schoolyard so we could secretly watch him. 😂 Everytime I caught a glimpse of him I felt a massive swarm of butterflies in my stomach. Such a confusing thing for young me. :D One day my friends persuaded me to confess my "love" to him but I was too shy to just tell him to his face, so a letter had to do. I don't remember what exactly I wrote, I'm sure it was cute though! However, friends of my crush caught wind of it and insisted to read my confession. One of them chose to be a little meanie (like many 10 year olds do sometimes, I guess) and wrote back to me, pretending to be my crush. He straight up wrote "leave me alone, asshole!" and oh dear, did I start to cry. My friends then went to my crush to confront him about it, they were furious - a nice memory, I wish I still had friends like this. Anyway, it turned out that the poor boy actually felt bad about what happened. He and his friend didn't think I would react that way. It was supposed to be a joke and I can't blame them.. we were just young kids after all. We ended up becoming pen pals for 2 years, which is kind of funny considering we saw each other every day. We barely ever spoke, I think he was a little bit shy too, and I didn't mind it. We still told each other about our days, our families and little adventures in our letters and it was honestly really sweet and beautiful. I think this also sparked my love for writing letters. I had many, many penpals after that and even got to meet a few of them. Sadly this stopped when I got my first own PC and internet. Online friends were easier and quicker to reach but it's not the same at all - especially with penpals like mine who always used to decorate their letters with pretty stickers and doodles drawn with these colourful glitter pens that I loved so much. Anyway, I digress. I had another very sweet crush when I was 12. I was visiting my mother for a few weeks during summer break and he was the son of her neighbour. I often spent my days with him and his little sister, playing all sorts of playstation games or just talking. On my birthday he gave me a big plush horse and asked me if I want to be his girlfriend. I was so happy that day~ It didn't last long though, I had to go back home and we only communicated via sms sometimes. But we saw each other a year later in summer break again, and he ended up being the first boy I kissed. 🤭 Most crushes that came after that didn't have a happy ending or there were complicated situations and feelings involved. I hope to overcome this one day but in the past 7-10 years I tried my best to avoid crushing on people, let alone falling in love. I've been hurt a lot... it left scars and fueled my anxiety. I haven't quite figured out how to handle the pain that comes with heartbreak. How to navigate through it without just stopping to function for days or weeks even. It hasn't always been this way but I feel like the older I get the more deep and intense I feel my emotions. Especially love or falling in love. Crushing on people lightheartedly doesn't happen very often anymore. It's always a little bit more, and depending on the person and situation my love grows very quickly. It's beautiful and something I would never want to change about me.. but it can also be very scary at times. Sorry for the long comment. I had a full night of sleep for once and my brain remembered how to speak, think and write in whole sentences. Have a beautiful day, handsome man~ 💕

Ellis

I could listen to you play guitar forever, honestly. I'm actually listening to that bit again as I type. And I hope you feel better soon 💕 I haven't had many crushes in general. I think I'm on the aromantic spectrum so I just don't feel romantic attraction much. I think I do have a crush currently though but I'm trying my best to deny/forget about it. A new guy joined our office this year only a few months ago and idk, I just get along with him well. Since I've started, it's just been me and my manager really so it's a nice change to be able to talk to someone my age and who is more like me, really. I'm not even sure if it's a proper crush but even if it ends up being that, I would never tell him so yeah... It's getting harder to ignore though so I'm not really sure what I'm gonna do about that Saying that, I'm planning on going to uni in September and leaving work so I guess after that, I won't need to think about it anymore

fleurfaust

I don’t have the spoons to write about the topic, probably not even to really think about it. But I still wanted to comment and send you cuddles and kisses! And also show some love and appreciation to the gorgeous guitar, this once again stunning thumbnail, and of course to you too. Wishing a peaceful sleep tonight 💜

gho0ostie

Thank you for taking the time to record a Crunch time even though you weren't in the best mood, sending you a hug 🫂 Now, talking about crushes... I'm a person who gets crushes really easily 🙊 The last crush I had was a boy which was at the same orchestra class as me. One of the few classes I really wanted to go just bc he was there & I could see him, so if there was a day that he didn't come to class it wasn't that interesting 🤭

Just stumbled across this. Don’t know if you’ll read this, but the guitar was lovely. Made me think of indie music that I like. As for a crush? When I was 11, there was a boy in my class that was my whole world. He talked to me and I was at a loss for words. He smiled at me and made my heart race. He chased me on the playground and I would let him catch me. Once he grabbed my hand and kissed it. I melted into my seat and we spent the rest of the school year and summer taking bike rides together, visiting the library and getting ice cream. My head was in the clouds

I had my first crush when I was in 4th Grade, just transferred from a new school… I remember my classmates asking me if I have crush and I didn’t even know what a crush was, so they had to explain it to me, I remember them saying how its someone you like because they’re handsome or they have a trait that you like… Lol, back then I honestly thought it was a requirement or something 🤣 So I was looking for a crush 🤣 and so I had a crush on this guy from 6th Grade, he was classmates with my cousin and some of his classmates were my friends as well. Back then, I’d purposely excuse myself to go to the restroom just so I could pass by their classroom and look for him. I would always look forward to come to school because of him. I’d also help our teacher move their stuff from our classroom to their classroom just to see him. I think he’s the guy whom I had a crush on for so long… 2 years, iirc. I liked him because he was a gentleman. He would help the teachers bring their stuff, he’d clean the classroom, he was simple and quiet. I found him cute. Apparently, he was the Mayor’s son 🤣 Whenever I have a crush on someone, I find it really hard to talk to them. So I find my ways to see them, admire them from afar hahaha. I remember when he was in 7th Grade, they had no classes and my friends and I were at school, so we went to their classroom just so I could look at the bulletin board and know when his birthday was hahaha. Thinking about it now, I could’ve just asked people! But I’m too shy 🙈 Hmm, to me, having a crush feels like I’m on cloud, I don’t really know how to describe it, I guess, it feels good. I always feel good whenever I see him. I’d find myself smiling and motivated. Like whenever I know it’s the day I’d see my crush, I’m motivated to look good and do well. Even the smallest things that we have in common, I already feel ‘kilig’ 😆 Fun times! I still do have crushes on people until now. Like in college, sometimes I like to have one as they motivate me to go to uni and do well! Kilig is a filipino word, I don’t think there’s a direct english translation to it, but this is how it’s defined in the dictionary. Kilig - exhilaration or elation caused by an exciting or romantic experience; an instance of this, a thrill. I love listening to you whenever you play the guitar, Crunch! So comforting, sometimes, I hum hehe. I hope you make guitar covers 🙏 I’d love to hear them ❤️ Sometimes, I like to imagine you play the guitar while I sing, jamming~
