Hey, hey bud! I missed hearing cheeky, cocky, unhinged Crunch play chess SO much! Though I must admit, you were very demure this time—no real unhinged energy, just cutesy and sweet 😁 My god, that bread sounds way too sexy. I was hoping we’d get to see it baked too, but that crunch? DAMN! I feel like focaccia is easier to make? At least for me, it feels like it allows more wiggle room for mistakes. Siiigh I have to make breads… a lot of Easter breads… about 13–15 of them. I’m not looking forward to it, since they’re brioche, which means kneading all that dough by hand. Please—someone come help me!!! 😭 We actually have a similar word here too, though I think ours sounds way too vulgar 😅 Sometimes I wish a younger me (because current me would absolutely weird him out, and me 😂) could somehow bump into a younger Crunch. Just… ruffle his hair, flash a big goofy grin, and hand him one of those very suspiciously orange juice boxes from back in the day. Both of us barefoot, the pavement warm underfoot, cicadas shrieking somewhere overhead… Anyway! Something random that’s been circling in my head since I saw the thumbnail: I feel like there’s a way to use that cherry branch to make a “clone”? Last year I went through a weird phase trying to grow another apricot tree after a seedling randomly sprouted—probably from a fallen fruit. Sadly, a dog got into the flowerbeds and broke it. But I saw a technique where you take a little branch, graft it onto another tree, and after a while, it grows roots, so you can plant it separately. It was confusing but super interesting. Anyway! Ignore my random tree ramblings 😄 OHHH! One more random thing—yesterday I found a game that made me think of you: “River Towns.” It’s like Dorfromantik and Tetris had a baby. It has the cosy, relaxing town-building vibes of Dorfromantik with the satisfying puzzle element of Tetris.
