Let's talk without letting me edit anything! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯In this little update audio I talk about all sorts of things! There's a lot to update you guys on, and I didn't even mention my current Twitch thoughts, my ideas for collabs, or the fun sfw content I have in store. I suppose I'll just have to make another update again soon, haha. Here's a cropped version of the Twitter image! Little teaser for ya, hehe.

thank you for this ramble crunch!! very nice to listen to while working c:

I'm still listening and the belly thing caught me off guard 🙊🤣

Thanks for the update Cronch!! Très instructif! Please do watch the area where you had your tick bite. Rashes and/or flu-like symptoms can occur from two to four weeks after the initial bite (depends on various immunological factors). Although since you received the vaccine, it may be a bit harder to tell if it’s the bite or the shot causing any symptoms. Anyway, your content is lovely, you’re lovely, and I hope you are able to make this a full time thing. Take care of yourself always! ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

It's great you're feeling better!! I look forward to your future works! As for getting bitten by a bug, I've been bitten by a fire ant on my finger, not only it swelled I also felt feverish. Rubbing raw onion onto the wound helps reducing the inflammation. Love your rambles, you're awesome and have a great weekend!! *big hugs* 💙

Libby

Hey there Mr. Cronch! Thanks for the update! I'm glad you're on the mend post-vaccine. I know this sounds weird but I appreciated hearing you talk through your approach to handling personal conversations; the mental weight that can be put on them and how you're trying to find an approach that works best for you when balancing mental health and personal fulfilment. I'm currently struggling with similar themes within my life (Though not nearly to the same extremes). It's hard enough trying to come to terms with why i feel certain ways (positively and negatively) - let alone trying to break those patterns! There's courage in you handling this all so openly, and it's nice to hear that in some kinda- related way I'm not alone in experiencing this. ((Also: fuck yeah, normalising therapy!)) (continuing in replies because patreon automod is actually the worst)

You posted this just before I had to make a 30 minute drive, so thanks for keeping me company! I really do love the chill rambles. I rarely worry about ticks for myself (I’ve never been bitten) but I’m always super careful to check my dog after we’ve been hiking or to the dog park. Thankfully I’ve never encountered one because they absolutely freak me out. I think that it’s obvious that your content works best at its own pace, I’d rather cosytrapped takes a little longer than feel forced or rushed. That goes for all of your content - having the monthly audio mid-month was a fun surprise, I think you should just put it out when it’s ready and feels right to you. I hope you’re feeling back to 100% tomorrow. Take care of yourself. Sending hugs if you’d like them 💜

A rambleganza indeed! The main problem I have with myself is when I hear these rambles, I feel like I want to touch on every point that's made due to how interesting they are. Now this is over 20 minutes of audio, so over 20 minutes of points were made. Let's see how this goes. Will break into parts. Day 2 of getting the vaccine, wahoo! How's your arm? Not as sore? At least you're feeling better than before, so that's good. Again, remember to hydrate, try to move that arm around a bit, and take it easy. Turning this into a full-time job for a while would be an interesting approach, but I definitely see that it would take some time for that to become a reality. The growth chart is a nice way to see exactly how fast that line is going. So far it's looking good, but would it be doubled by next winter? I can't wait to find out! Communications! Especially those that are online. I feel like I exhibit the same problem, when there's a message, I feel like I need to respond to that message. The topics, to me, are engaging and I love learning about others and their ideas and beliefs. I'm working on how to properly balance the number of messages myself while also including a piece of me into those comments, because I am still interested. It's always a learning experience, but I feel that you will find that balance that's right for you soon. Comparing these conversations to gambling... again, I know that all too well. Not gambling necessarily, but I get addicted to things too quickly, especially on the concept of communications. Just the slight pinch of excitement and pleasure, that's amazing. But when I try to seek that a little too much, that's when I know I need to step back or else I'll be sucked into whatever it is. I try to turn this around, where I can seek out these pleasures in a more positive outlet such as seeking photography, reading, or anything really that benefits me to stay healthy mentally. It's hard to break old habits, but it is possible. Just takes a bit of practice and repetition.

Happy for your growth, you really deserve it, with all your hard work. I hope everything works out the way you dream of! I know how unstable can be a work like this, self employment and all, you never know if you will have the same income the next month and that can be scary. It’s great that you are trying to find this balance, on the talking with people. It’s difficult but, you’ll get there, I’m sure. You’ll learn in no time. I think it’s okay to look at the numbers. But it’s more important to step back and realise that everyone is a different person and every person has a different view of things. And it’s okay if you say “thank you” or exchange a few words every now and then. Glad that you have friends that can help you with all that. Going to the therapy is great. I think this is something that everyone should do. I’m sorry that you’ve lost the motivation for the cosytrapped! You should take a step back and let the Project breathe. Suddenly you’ll come up with something, you go and write it down. One day you’ll wake up and say “Hm this fits cosytrapped I’m going to record” and just go little by little. At some point you may regain that first spark. It’s great to see how much grateful you are. Never lose this humility, that’s what will make you grow each day more. I started supporting you (and some others too) not only for content. It’s something that I, personally, do. In life. Because, well, newsflash! I personally, again, don’t do the VA/listener separation. Because, at the end of the day, I see you as a real person that creates content/works with voice and well, hello colleague! That’s exactly what I’ve been doing for the last 12 years lol. I just do it in a slightly different way, but at the end... it’s voice. We’re in the same field, where we need to tell a story and make others feel things. So, there you go. That’s why I’m such enthusiastic in comments and all with everyone. Lol Congrats at the 4k on twitter, that’s awesome! Social media is dangerous. I stopped paying too much attention, specially on this pandemic and with politics on my country, I was starting to get really sick. So I just stopped. Hearing you ramble is always lovely, dear. I wanted to make a smaller comment, I’m very sorry, honestly. I know some people already told me they appreciate it and all but, well... very self conscious on that I guess. And I’m not even commenting everything on here this time lol. Hope you’re having an amazing Sunday! Many hugs! 💙

Natascha

I think Patreon deleted my comment or sth aber ich will ✨meinen senf dazugeben ✨ as we say in germany. I really enjoy these rambles. I usually do some uni work or cleaning and its quite nice. I think the thing with cozytrapped is probably cause its such a big project and maybe just overwhelming to start doing it? Especially cause people already know about it

Vicki

I really do love listening to rambles maybe it's because I find how people experience life so interesting.  I didn't realize the cats were maine coons that makes me happy as I look after two called Bear and Blaze! Surprisingly, with all the time I've spent outdoors I haven't been bitten by a tick. I am super nervous about them as we have so many. Please do keep on eye on your bite btw! The worse was probably a spider bite that while camping became the size of a large golfball overnight. That was a freaky end to my trip but I was given meds and it was better in 2 weeks. I think that it’s obvious that your content works best at your own pace. You already produce way more than I was expecting so definitely don't feel rushed, we'll be here. Thank you so much for keeping us updated. I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for you! Take care of yourself Crunch, sending hugs back ♡

What you said about the slippery slope of spending too much time socializing really resonated with me. I’m a very curious, social butterfly type person who loves getting to know people and hearing their thoughts so I tend to always have way too many emails, texts, calls, DMs etc to respond to. It’s a nice curse to have though. But I’ve also got a lot of professional and personal responsibilities to attend to so I can’t just let myself get sucked into it so I’ve started time blocking for checking socials and responding to people and it’s been really helpful to me. Pomodoro method, babyyyyy ✨ As for getting in a creative rut with the audio series you’ve been working on– I think that’s pretty normal for any creative field! Don’t beat yourself up about some projects taking longer. Sometimes I let the project rest and move onto other things or sometimes I do certain creative exercises that usually help unblock my brain. It depends. I also just read the book Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert which is about “Creative living beyond fear” and it was a little hokey but has a lot of affirming advice in it that really clarified some of my own thoughts and approaches to doing the work. I’d recommend it to any creatively-minded people who sometimes struggle with completing projects or feeling like they’re good enough (Spoiler: they are)

Hello, Crunchy, you absolute darling. Let me start off by saying I'm very, very proud of you and I admire how you take care of yourself. It's not easy to maintain a baseline of mental health in times of change. Take my sympathetic ramble with a grain of salt, since of course I don't know much about you. Rescuing animals <3 <3 <3 I have such a soft spot for rescues. I fostered dogs for a bit and it was an amazing community to be part of. Then, I met my soulmate dog -- the sweetest gentlest thing with a lot of trauma and special needs. I'm excited for you to meet your future kitty cats!!!! I'm proud of you for climbing up the hill to figure out how to do VA work full-time. I'm kind of in a similar spot because I'm graduating with my master's and then trying to freelance, because I know in my heart that it is the right thing for me to pursue. It's a weird precipice to be on, especially when few people around me are doing the same.

Be good to yourself Crunchy, you are amazing and a huge inspiration... And I am happy to just be able to support you, the extra content is just the icing on the cake tbh... you are doing really good!

It’s very good to hear you’re feeling a bit better! I’m listening to this a bit late, so I hope that when I’m writing this you’re already feeling all better! I’m also very happy to hear that reducing the amount of conversations has helped, and the fact you’re still itching to do it is understandable. I see it from a bit of a different perspective though, I see it as curiosity. Cause honestly, you have LOADS of people from ALL OVER listening to you, and that, in itself, is sort of fascinating! So, of course one would like to know more, yet the sheer amount of people makes it virtually impossible, and I know you said you’re going to a therapist for this (and I hadn’t pestered you with this in a while, HA!), but it’s also not worth getting sick over. Be gentle with yourself, dear boy, don’t forget that! You are the most precious thing you have, and you should treat yourself as such. I haven’t been bit by a tick, but once during a hike in the woods, I tripped and fell, and proceeded to lay my hand on this shell thing (I still don’t really know what it was???) and got about thirty little spikes stuck on my hand. Yes, it was VERY painful. I haven’t been here for that long, but I’m not planning on going anywhere anytime soon! Crunch, let me tell you something so that you stop worrying about being repetitive: No one told Agatha Christie to stop writing detective novels, NO ONE.

JaneHatesYou

I hope you read this. Do not apologize for boundaries. You deliver everything you promise and it's top tier; you don't owe anyone anything else.

I'm a new member, I just stumbled upon this right now, and I feel so silly leaving dms before 😳😓...You have every right to establish personal boundaries, that is very mature and healthy. I am just happy supporting this beautiful, intelligent, creative soul that you are! And I hope you get the credit and the followers that you deserve. You are a rare gem, Crunch! 😇😊
