“Some mug person”?!? But crunchy, you’re the mug person of the community! Also, in which way is the sweater ruined cause maybe there’s a way to fix it! Good to hear you’re well ❤️

Ange

Studio Arhoj mugs forever! I know that when you add in the shipping/exchange/duties they can be quite expensive for most of us, but I’d rather pay for that gorgeousness than a cheap generic mug with something printed on it. I’d rather pay $50 for a lovely mug that someone put actual craftsmanship into, than $25 for a boring mug that cost 50 cents for a machine to make. That’s just my take (from a place of privilege, with Studio Arhoj mugs in my kitchen right now). I was driving home through the countryside the other day and noticed some trees have started to turn a brilliant red already. It got me so excited for sweaters and crisp air on long walks through the forest with no bug bites!

Ahh it's crunch time! I missed these! 💖 I hope you’re ready for a friggin’ ESSAY of a response as apparently I had a lot to cover! I'm really glad you're being wonderfully productive at Uni. You're absolutely killing it, i'm sure 💪
As someone who felt like they barely scraped through undergrad intact, I really do admire people who are passionate, organised and dedicated enough to continue with postgraduate studies.

Just make sure to take it easy when you can!
the prints on your wall look wonderful! I unfortunately was unable to participate in Mug Madness when it was on, but it was wonderful watching everyone’s submissions come in, and it’s really heartwarming to see them still being appreciated in a physical sense! Will you keep adding to the wall?

Hello, I'm so happy to hear you're doing okay! Thank you kindly for this little update. Rambly yes, but you know rambles are always appreciated. And no need to worry on the background noise, I thought it was quite pleasant and relaxing~ When it comes to mugs, I'd rather pay extra for a good quality mug that I know is going to last a long time than pay less for cheaper quality that was made in some factory. Owning both, there is definitely a difference (plus the arhoj mugs are much more sturdy, and very pretty). Going onto merchandise, I think that would still be pretty cool, maybe starting off small-ish like pins, stickers, a shirt or two would work out. I can't wait to see how the designs will be! Also for the new artwork coming out soon, the previous one was gorgeous, so really looking forward to this month's art. Imagine actually being able to wear sweaters now. You are a lucky goose right there, because on this side of the world, sweaters are coming back in around the end of October. But for you, they're back 😎 but dude... rip to that sweater... hopefully the damage isnt too bad... maybe, question mark, worried face. 7 YEARS?! It's been that long since the beginning of that account, ahh I'm so excited! I'm really curious on your ideas for the day. And a theme song... my ears are perched up, my spine is tingling, I want to know more, dude. Please! I'm happy to hear all is going well, and you are safe. Sending you many hugs and many scritches! Enjoy the rain, stay cosy meow meow 💙

Well hello there Crunch! I agree with Spange and with you. I’ve been looking more into mugs that are handmade and support small businesses around. I am dying to get Studio Arhoj ones but BOI their shipping kills me (and I understand; the problem really, is conversion rates on money at the moment 💰) They are gorgeous and worth it. PO Boxes are interesting. I get when you say about don’t wanting to receive weird things but well… you will. It’s what you said, you already receive weird messages so that’s not going to be different with possible letters and gifts. You just have to look at it take a good laugh and put it on a discard pile. lol It could be fun for you. To receive letters and support through other means than just emails and messages here. So, my next season is not autumn! It’s Spring. I’m excited because, flowers yay! But not so much because it tends to be the hottest one, even more so than actual summer. We get temperatures above 40°C on daily basis and it is NOT FUN ehehe. I have no AC at home and have to get a thousand fans on my room to not die 💀 well, let’s see how this year goes! At least I have a bunch of new pretty dresses to wear! 🤷🏼‍♀️ Excited to see the next art, Crunch! Looking forward to the audio. I’m sure it’s going to be amazing, just like you always do. I really hope you’re having an incredible week. Hugs hugs to you dear! 💛

I thought we agreed on the merch to be crunchy hats... 🤔

Sorry for your sweater loss, big big hugs <3 I am enjoying the chillier weather we've been getting recently. My windows have been open to the fresh air for a couple days now and I've been able to sleep later in the morning with the cold air. It's been lovely. <3

It's already autumn here (it starts in August in Ireland, Celtic calendar with August (Lúnasa) being the celebration of the beginning of harvest season - Lughnasadh) but still a little too warm for sweaters and thick jumpers unfortunately, hopefully it'll cool down soon ☺️ You might be able to fix your sweater depending on what happened to it, but if not it's sad that it's damaged 😞 Can't wait for the next exclusive audio! Hope you have a good week Crunchy, lots of hugs! 💛 (Also I don't like euro shop or dollar store mugs, I'd much rather spend a bit more on them to support smaller businesses)

Our weather has finally turned where I am; it's been hot & dry & still for too long. If we have some prolonged rain, we get the most brilliant autumn colors, just breathtakingly astonishing, but who knows this year. Condolences on your sweater, Crunchy, I've been there 😑 Honestly I cosign everything you said. I'm fortunate enough that I would definitely buy a nice mug from a "mug person" 🤭 over a dollar-store one but uh would probably just hand over my $$ for whatever you decide on! Love this rambly update from you & I hope you're having a good week 💜

Menula

Definitely looking forward to autumn! I love rainy weather, cosy clothing and Halloween 🎃 there's a really nice horror festival where I live that I visit every year with friends so I'm excited for that hehe! 👻 (sadly it was canceled last time but I'm hoping for the best this year) And the mug merch idea sounds great, would love to buy one ☕😇 I hope everyone who's reading this has a great week 💜

Never apologise for a rambly crunchtime! Sorry to hear about your jumper.. I can understand your heartbreak but hey, at least you got a giggle out of it? Hope you can fix it! I've been on this earth for however many years and it was only this year I learned that everywhere else in the world doesn't consider August the start of autumn. (Only because I tweeted about it and a friend was like 'are you an idiot? Delete this rn' ) Our approach to seasons is reflected in the Irish language and in local custom. We're taught February 1st is the first day of spring after St Bridget, the patron saint of cattle and dairy work. This was initially a pagan festival Imbolc, celebrating the new year on the farm. Same with autumn or Fómhar which loosely translates as harvest, starts in August (lunasa in Irish) August 1st marks the festival of Lughnasadh, celebrating the start of the harvest. And interestingly, the months September (Meán Fómhair) and October (Deireadh Fómhair) translate as “middle of harvest” and “end of harvest.” So for us August is autumn and we've been enjoying it just a bit longer than everyone else.

Hi, Crunchy, and hello, you darlings in the comments. 🧡🧡🧡 I completely agree with the thing about mass produced cheap mugs. A smol idea for something that could be made by a lovely artist -- what about a stoneware mug stamped with "Just a little sip should be okay, right?" 😅 I'd totally purchase a cute Crunchy collaboration with someone who makes beautiful items. I hate summer and sweating against my will and bright sun and seasonal allergies, blegh! Autumn is when I get to be cozy in my favorite sweaters and jackets, and I'm able to enjoy going out a lot more. Plus, cold weather makes me feel so focused and clearheaded for some reason. Sending big scoops of love! 🌈🌈🌈

Glad yo hear you are doing well. Always enjoy the random stream of consciousness rambles. Then again thats how my mind works lol. As for fall, ugh Im a HUGE summer person and hearing ‘autumn is around the corner’ just .. sigh.. sad. However I love nature and as a Michigander surrounded by the beauty of nature everywhere I adore the changing of seasons. The thing I look forward to the most other than getting out and photographing and enjoying nature is the cider mill & apple picking! We have so many amazing small farms with wonderful apple orchards that I go to with family every year as tradition. We get to spend the day wandering the orchards, picking our own apples, visiting the farm animals, do the hay maze and just enjoy the time together. Best part of course being at the end when we get to visit the shop/bakery! Fresh made apple cider, apple pie, apple dumplings, apple bread.. lol apple everything! Plus handmade fudge! Just thinking about it makes me smile. Another amazing thing to do is hiking through the trails. But my absolute favorite thing to do is to get on the horses with a friend or family or even alone, and ride through the magnificent beauty of the woods. There’s just something about riding the trails so connected to my horse that just grounds me. So while my heart aches at the thought of summer passing there is so much to look forward to in fall. Winter.. well snow is beautiful if I can stay home. Otherwise, Michigan bitter cold winters with daily snow shoveling is not exactly my happy time. But my collie loves it .. so that makes me happy. Hope everyone is well. Enjoy the warmth while you can and I’m sure many unlike myself are ready for cooler weather. Best wishes!

I'm looking forward to cosy vibes 🤭 just all of the cosy vibes! Will be my first fall on reddit, and I'm excited for a Halloween thing I wanna make *makes scary, but cosy Yandere noises* I am a mug collector, so I've really considered going and getting a mug from SA! They really are quite cute ^-^ Sorry about the sweater! Oh noh! I'm quite a dunce myself with that lol And maybe make a PO box so we can send you cake day gifts ^-^ maybe let it be a patreon only thing to start? And you know what autumn is like where I live 😁

I LOVE the fall - my favorite season! I'm happy I live somewhere where I get all 4 seasons but fall is the best for me. I love being outside but I hate the heat, so July & August are tough. Some of my favorite things about fall: -Hiking & camping -Wearing sweaters & dresses with cool tights -Halloween/horror themed stuff -I love to cook and make warming, comforting dishes (and it isn't too hot to have the oven on all day!) -Generally feels more cosy -It is a little cliché, but I also love apple picking & getting cider/donuts from the cider mill. For me the only negative about moving in to fall/winter is losing sunlight. The short days of those seasons affect my mood a lot. I love the summer where the sun is out until almost 9pm!

Hi! It's nice that you can be so positive. I have a hard time being positive right now. To be honest I'm a little worried about how the pandemic will develop this fall and that there will be more restrictions once again. I desperately need to go out and do stuff, like going to the gym or going to a coffee house to read or study. I can't be home as much as I've been the past 1,5 years. It's become nearly impossible to be productive and everything just feels meaningless some days. So I don't know if it's safe to look forward to anything in particular yet. What I do know that I an look forward to is my new school semester, which is the second year of the master's programme in library- and information science (digital library and information services). And also using my Espresso House coffee subrciption I just got, so I can visit their coffee shops and get unlimited coffee and use their wifi ☕ haha, Espresso House is basically an imitation of Starbucks and they are everywhere here in Sweden and maybe some other European countries. Their coffee is alright, but I mainly like them because all of them are the same and I always know what to order 🥰 It's the uncertainty of everything that affects my mental health so it's nice when there is something that's always the same and that I can count on 💁🏼‍♀️

Snarky

No autumn here in the Philippines, but I love the -ber months because it's the rainy season and there's lots of new horror/thriller movies 🤩 Always love listening to you ramble, Cromnch 🥰 RIP Mama Cromnch's sweater 😭

Vicki

Hehe I was told to check your update and the comments pronto and then got distracted per usual. As a mug person I also prefer handmade goods and local businesses than large corporations that make cheap products. There's no love or time put into them so I typically don't buy them. Especially, since I enjoy supporting other artists and or making myself something if I can't find it. I'm glad your doing well and being productive! Wow 7 years is a long time that's exciting.  Also, love your rambles especially the unedited bits. I wish there was rain and thunder here...😭 its been an inferno for months and I'm a sweater, hoodie and blanket person so I'm really looking forward to the Fall. Your poor sweater... I've done the same with a wool sweater and it shrunk 3 sizes.. I gave it to a little girl I care for. So the leaves started falling in July from the heat.. its bizarre to see it look like Fall but feel like Summer. Typically, I do pumpkin patches, carving, sunflower mazes, corn mazes and drink a lot of hot cider. But I'm also going to bake *spooky* stuff with friends and watch horror movies galore. Anyway, hope your having a lovely evening and week Crunch ♡ take care

If you’re going to use a PO Box, find a clever way to gather all the packages within one to two trips of taking them out of the vehicle. Such as using a laundry basket and store the tiny packages in that. Anyway, I still remember that one ‘hand me the guac’ shitpost. That was hilarious and it lifts my spirit up whenever I feel down. Thank you again for that. ps - Can sweaters, mugs, and pumpkins be a good combo for you? LOL

Aubrey

May or may not be listening to this at work lol but the inflections in your voice brings so much bright happiness to the quiet monotony behind my desk. Merch would be cute but i do agree that it feels more meaningful when the artist can directly profit from their services. They might also have a preferred provider that makes products to their standards rather than some cheap wholesale warehouse. As for fall, I am thrilled to get out of this 110 degree Texas weather though it probably won't let up any time soon. It won't keep me from pulling out my cute warm clothing tho lol ill just stay in the air conditioning 😅

Just listened to this today and it's the 25th! Happy anniversary ❤️
