Hello there! Very excited to begin working on the polled exclusive for this month.. Seems like you guys want even more teasing, huh? Interesting...For now, you get to have a little peak into what's going on with me! Not all sunshine and rainbows, but nothing a good cup of optimism can't fix. Send me some digital cuddles on stream later maybe? Enjoy ~also rain noises were very much not audible, but they helped the atmosphere for me I guess lol. next time maybe

I wake up at 2am all the time - if there’s something keeping me up, I write it in my notes app (or if it’s work stuff, email it to myself). My brain will let it go if I’ve written it down, then I can fall back to sleep. Also if my sleep cycle is really messed, I take melatonin for a night or two and it helps me get back on track. See ya on the stream later!

My sleep schedule is struggling right now too, between stressful thoughts and a wonky work schedule, it’s tough! Honestly my go-to for sleep these days is audio. Something or someone familiar and calm, and/or ambient sounds. Give me a sweet audio I’ve heard before, with rain, or a crackling fire, and it usually does the trick. I’m impressed that you have a schedule this month, and that drill sounds aren’t ruining it. Even if you didn’t stick to it entirely, I absolutely understand the self-imposed deadlines thing. I work best that way too, even if every now and then you’re like “nah not doing that, self”

Hope you´re well cronch! I also have a lot of trouble sleeping lmao I try to not think about my past or current problems but its really difficult. I usually drink this tea which is supposed to make u sleepy lmao but my thoughts keep me up. And unfortunately i cant sleep in the next day cause i have things to do or i will get mad at myself for not being productive or some shit,.... so you really cant win lmao.

I didn't sleep all night and fell asleep in the morning, I wake up at five in the evening, maybe I don't sleep because of black tea, I love it... and of course because of my depression and stress, but it does not matter, ✨because you are a joy in my life thank you very much that you are ✨💗💗💗

CarelessWhisper

Crunchy, thank you for spending time with us! I love listening to your rambles and I never get tired of you not knowing how to end them. ❤

Hi sir. I'm going to preface that this may not be helpful at all because of circumstances, but hey, there might be something in here that may help. I work 4 different shift cycles that don't allow me to get into a set routine. If I get 8 hours for the week, it's a win for the books. What I have found to work are light mists of camphor and eucalyptus directly onto the skin (I don't think rooibos is readily available where you are), a body brush up and down the legs, and no electronics 2 hours before bed. Because of the bright light, it tricks the brain into thinking its still daytime and will therefore stay awake as per protocol.. And yes, it isn't our job, but we do care and knowing you're doing good is such a great thing. (and yay for nerdy astrology shit; my only contribution is owning a telescope, and really hoping to put it to some use this year) Hope you have a better night tonight. The schedule for this month should hopefully tire you somewhat for a few blissful nights🌹🌹

Hi Crunchy ❤️ I wish I had some healthy tips for falling asleep but all I do every night is scroll on my phone or read until I’m literally delirious so I can just roll over and go to sleep in like 2 seconds. I don’t even give my brain a chance to overthink at this point 😭😫

Phantasm Cat

(Putting again, patreon chan pls) Oof, you and me both on sleep. Except with me it's a nightly battle on who will win-- the intrusive thoughts or the imaginative thoughts. It's usually the intrisive ones that win, so I have to try extra hard on the imagination part. The Unlimited Cat Universe is expansive as is, yet the thoughts and problems and memories like to invade, so oooiiii..... What I usually do, and it may not be a good thing but maybe I'm not too sure, I used to exhaust myself to sleep too. Except I used to watch movies after movies after movies and hope I sleep in the process. Sometimes I'll draw, I remember I made a full comic of some phantasmic creatures on a war with the fair folk. Did it help with sleep like how I hoped? Nope. But it was fun. Now I try to wind down before bed with a cup of tea and something relaxing like rain sounds or some other nice ambient sounds. Or heartbeats. That too 💙 YES THE TELESCOPE LAUNCH!! I was up to date on that on and off for years, and finally!! It was so fun to watch. I heard the sunshields were deployed not too long ago, and the mirrors should be coming in next.

I am not good with words, but I would like to tell you that your voice is one of the few things that can help me calm down and fall asleep, and I sincerely hope you will also find the things that work for you for falling asleep or at least quiet down existential dread thoughts ❤️

Mel

Fun fact: the reason warm milk can help you sleep is because it has tryptophan which is an amino acid which helps promote serotonin and melatonin ❤️ so it’s no coincidence 😉 I struggle with sleep constantly, if I don’t make myself go to bed at a decent time every night I would have zero semblance of a sleep schedule.. between my own mental health struggles, stress, and being a first responder who is literally on call 24/7 sometimes sleep is hard to come by. I generally have to have something distracting in the background.. music, rain sounds, ambient noise, or if I’m having a particularly hard time I’ll listen to either sleep-aid type audios or any kind of soothing rambling.. anything that keeps my brain distracted from intrusive thoughts.. sometimes they break through, but it def helps! I hope you, and everyone else struggling, get some good sleep soon! 💕

I struggle with sleep because my brain just wants to fit too much in, so I stay up too late & can't sleep in most mornings. I try not to press too hard, just take it as it comes & use the resources I have (like your "listening to the rain" audio 🥰) to breathe deeply & slowly & let my mind wander. Then I embrace a 30 min nap if I need one. Anyway, Mr. Crunch, I know you know we all just try to express our care for you & your well being, in emotes & suggestions & bonks 💜 We're all so grateful for everything you share with us that we just want to give a little back if we can. Looking forward to the new schedule & mew content! Be well, Crunchy & comment section 💜💜

uh, sleeping troubles are soo relatable ! it’s been really difficult recently to normalize my sleeping schedule because of the uni and work. and it is always takes me several hours to fall asleep. my brain just tries to fit too much and i can’t stop thinking about studying, past and future, global warming and homeless people, simply about everything. but i have a tip that helped me earlier, when i had troubles falling asleep. i started forming some little habits to make my brain think that i’m going sleep soon. it could be everything, from closing blinds to listening to a particular song. and i also drank some herbal tea that is supposed to calm you down, but i’m not sure if it did it’s work. however, forming habits definitely helped, but it takes some time to start working. a friend of mine started taking melatonin to fall asleep and as i know it worked pretty well. anyways, i hope your sleep will get better soon! take care crunchy and everybody here🤍🐾

If I remember correctly you're going full time with content creating? I feel like the best thoughts and conversations happen at "stupid oclock" in the morning right around 2am/3am. I think it's a mental shift. I stay up to 3am or earlier in the morning doing my studies and did stuff through the day even if it was "backwards" with society and the way my friends did. That's probably why your brain is reflecting so much. I do that a lot too. If I remember to stay off of electronics for an hour or two that helps. Chamomile tea with lavender and honey is lovely but I add 3 tea bags and occasionally a peppermint tea bag with it. Also stretching with lofi music before is a great way to calm down the brain. it takes me a few hours for my body and brain to realize its bedtime.

Unfortunately, I do not have any tips for better falling asleep. I usually listen to asmr or read. Asmr helps a lot, hearing someone talk makes me feel as if I’m not alone and someone caring is here, helping me fall asleep. That’s a nice feeling. There are rare times when I even fall asleep to my playlist, the rock-ish part of it or some slow music. But sometimes I’m too tired to do anything so I just lay there and wait for exhaustion to knock me out. I mean the times when your body is tired, head empty, but your brain is still processing something and you can physically feel it working, you know? Brr. I stay up late at night either thinking or doing whatever else and since I’m a light sleeper living with people who wake up and start their day – start making noises – at about 6am, I’m tired or a bit lost more often than I’d possibly liked to. Good thing there’s coffee on this planet :) I haven’t caught much on the stream while avoiding spoilers for the quest, so can I give you digital hugs now, maybe? Hope you get a good sleep soon :з

Bad example here, in part leftover from an undergrad program in which your commitment was questioned constantly if you didn’t practically move into the labs to stay up all night and “work” in a really performative way. Even after graduating I spent the nights cleaning incessantly, reading books that were too good to stop in the middle of, falling down wormholes of research, writing a bunch, baking bread, endlessly scrolling tumblr… everything but sleeping. Years later I unknowingly convinced myself that my vivid daydreams occurred while I was really asleep, rather than just in bed with my eyes closed… probably my very exhausted brain attempting to fill in gaps where REM should’ve been. I had no idea I wasn’t fully sleeping at night until the results of a sleep study. Explained a lot, though. All this to say: Ughs. Hugs. Sleep tight. 💜

How do I know when you are streaming 😫😫😫

Astrology?? Since English isn't your first language, I will forgive you on that. I like listening to (usually naughty) audio files while trying to go to sleep. =) I also like Guided Imagery. It's similar to medication, but in your mind you create a peaceful place, as you follow along with the guide. But I day(night)dream too. I thought I was the only one who did that! Although, mine have grown ... more adult themed as I got older. If my brain is being particularly stubborn, (it does have a mind of it's own) and I keep going back to those thoughts that are keeping me awake, then I find something to keep my brain occupied. Sometimes I will go through the Fibonacci sequence as far as I can, or do math problems. I'm a bit of a math geek. Sometimes I go through the alphabet, with a theme. Like band names with music that I own. Aerosmith, the Beatles, the Cranberries.... Or plants, fruits, vegetables. If I can't think of something for those difficult letters, I don't spend too much time on it, but skip it and go on. I know it sounds complicated, but a few rounds distracts my brain away from the pesky thoughts.

Pocketlizarddd

currently listening to this at a time when i cant sleep, so at least we all know it happens to others as well ! but i hope you feel less stressed and feel more at ease with your situations soon :) This is very comfy, and your voice always helps me when im feeling that way so thanks. im still trying to find what to do but also everyone in these comments are indirectly helping me w that so :D oh and also one thing that helps me a lot is just ineligible (?) asmr, like whipering you can't understand/just noises because it keeps my brain distracted while trying to fall asleep, so theres that, :)) (hopefully) goodnight now haha

I was actually listening to this right before I went to sleep last night lol. Usually I fall asleep fine, but when I struggle I'll listen to sleep sounds off YouTube (like rain or a crackling fireplace), guided meditation for sleep videos, or sometimes your audios (or rambles lol) so I can focus my mind on something else. Doesn't always work though if I'm feeling really wired 🤷 I've been having trouble sleeping lately too, but mainly because I've been working more early morning shifts than usual so I'm not used to sleeping earlier to wake up at 6am (also cos I'm a slob and like staying up late 😅). That being said, my early mornings have been more bearable when they've fallen on the same days you've streamed. Lately you've started streaming just as I wake up so I'll be listening in while I get up and get ready, drive to work, and have coffee and chill for a while before I turn off and start work. Also would rather be listening to your streams not absurdly early/late but any time I can catch one is a bonus!! The joys of living in wonky times on the other side of the world. Hope your sleep improves, or if not we can struggle in sleep deprivation together. That's what coffee's for right? 🥱🙃
