Hello! So I've been in a certain mood for a while now - and I had this idea to somehow pull from those emotions and create something a little more.. story-driven? book-like? I'm not sure what the right term is. But this audio is that.Sidenote for the audio: my accent is all over the place - haha - I'm not sure exactly what happened, but just roll with it. A good part of it I wrote as a script in a cute coffee shop, so maybe that's the cause? Who knows. Also this series is set in the 90s! (if the timeplacers/indicators/hints/nudges aren't obvious enough)Ok. Enough textual rambling. I hope your day is going well. Crunchy... Crunchy. Where to begin and where to finish. This was beautiful; you outdid yourself. You put a lot of work into this audio, and it shows. I loved the intro and how you talked about the books. I’m relieved I’m not the only one who sniffs new books. It made me a little nostalgic. I really wanted to work in a bookstore when I was young, but alas, life happened, and I had to walk other roads. The banter was very sweet, and that trembling in your breathing... Your notification for this post popped up as I was getting ready to workout. Since I already had procrastinated for 45 minutes I was strong and made this my reward for actually finishing my workout. I laid on my mat turned on the audio and closed my eyes. I was transported back in time to a bookstore I used to frequent in my teens and 20s. I love the smell of new books, so good! The soundscape you created and your words brought it to life, it left me feeling so soft and sweet. Looking forward to the next chapter!

Crunchyy, I adore this! The intro is so cinematic, I can practically see the camera moving. And your voice has such a nice rumble in this, especially during the part where you talk about mindfulness 😍 in general there's something about this audio that makes it a real treat for the senses (which you being you, also use in a very sneaky way 👀). And that rumble together with the cosy vibes, bookstore setting and scarves make it a perfect fall story. (I'm also leaning into the aesthetics and imagining them wearing long coats, funky sweaters and cord pants haha) Congrats and can't wait for more 💚🍂

This is my favourite audio in the world! It’s just so soft, wrapping around you like a wool scarf on a cold autumn day. And undeniably cinematic—like a ’90s romantic film come to life. My favourite part is when he calls her to say she’s forgotten her scarf. The acoustic song playing in the background is perfect. I can just picture her smiling when she hears his voice again, telling her he’s brought the scarf to the library. It melts my heart. It gives me “Autumn in New York” vibes—the way they grow closer after this first chapter, grabbing coffee together, going on dates, how she shows him her favourite place in town. And then, one day, she disappears. He doesn’t know where she is. He didn’t know that she had been sick. That she had known, from the moment she stepped into his life, that she wouldn’t stay. She hadn’t told him. Because she didn’t want to be looked at with pity, with sorrow. She didn’t want to be treated like something fragile. She wanted to be her. She wanted him to love her without the weight of goodbye lingering between them. So she had left. And by the time he finally found out, it was already too late. He’s heartbroken. Weeks pass. Grief sits heavy in his chest, an ache that never fades. Every time he turns a page in a book, he expects to see her there, curled up with a cup of coffee, telling him, “just one more chapter”. Every time the library grows too quiet, he imagines her voice breaking through it, teasing him, laughing as if she had all the time in the world. And then, one day, a package arrives. His name is scrawled across it in handwriting he knows too well. He unwraps it with shaking hands. Today is an audio appreciation day in our little Crunchmas, and I thought of starting a little soft. The last time I commented here, I was still in my “shy” reserved era… I can’t believe it’s been two years~ It’s a very simple concept with so much work put into it. You added so much detail that it became effortless for me to feel like I was walking down that street—the cold air on my face, looking up at that giggly bell as I push the door and find myself wrapped in warmth, surrounded by books and a gentle voice yapping away. Ahhh, being greeted by that huge smile we hear in your voice—the little awkwardness, or shyness, however you want to call it. Your excitement builds as the audio goes along, and your tone has a very unique timbre in this one. My senses keep traveling: snow, warmth, long coats, soft scarves. The smell of coffee and books. Your scent—something I can’t quite put my finger on… This audio is such a treat. So simple, yet so loving. And I’m not going to harp on about part two, you know we all go crazy about it. 😂 Thank you for your hard work. Always. 🤍 I hope your morning finds you gently, Crunch. question: i love behind the scenes stuff so i’m curious about the ironic song bit. i’m assuming the song isn’t public domain (i could be wrong), so did you have to pay to use that little bit of the song in the audio? or can you play a few seconds without copyright issues (fair use law maybe?) or patreon specific ToS? sorry you don’t really have to answer just curious and thinking out loud.
