Hi everyone! As you probably know... we finally reached 200 episodes of Boyfriends today! But in case you don't, episode 200 is now out on Webtoon.

Thank you so much for supporting me throughout this journey. It's so much more than I have ever asked for, considering this started as a side project for me to have fun with while working on my main job at the time.

I honestly don't know what the future holds for this series. The story itself isn't actually finished, but the pain that this series has caused me has made me consider

It's a tough thing to be vulnerable and share your work online. I attached too much of myself to this series--the comic being an exploration of my own sexuality, gender, relationships, and desires--that it became so hard for me to just let things go.

When they say it's a bad representation, it makes me wonder whether I've been embarrassing my fellow queer people with my existence. When people say I'm only labeling Goth as an asexual for the sake of brownie points, it made me doubt my own asexuality and whether it's an appropriate label for me to use. When they say this comic is the reason queer people in real life face violence and injustices... well, I could only wonder whether making the comic is a mistake after all.

But I have been reading some of the comments that people leave on this 200th episode. I have been meeting people at conventions, and what they told me really touched me. About how it's something that they can relate to, something they look forward to, and how it helped them during the tougher times of their life. People were very understanding of my plight and understanding if this would be my last episode after all... it's just a lot of love that I didn't deserve in the first place, and I really want to pay it back. It gives me a certain satisfaction that still makes me cling to the series for even just a bit, and that's why I'm still undecided on whether I would like to continue the story or drop it completely.

Thank you so so much for being here. The support that I received from everyone allowed me to go on, even just a bit longer. I'm sorry that I haven't done enough to give back, that I have made something that you're probably not proud to be a fan of, and now possibly not continuing the comic. But for now, I ask you to give me the luxury of stepping back and reevaluating whether all of the good is worth all of the pain.

JUST TO BE CLEAR, the Patreon will still be active, and I'll still be working on other Boyfriends-related projects—just not the comic itself. They're most likely going to be "unofficial" content, where I have more control over it.

Anyway, thank you so much for reading, I've just had a lot of thoughts about it today, sorry for burdening you with all of my rambles.

I hope you guys have a good day!

it breaks my heart seeing you so bothered by everyone's hateful words. your comic makes me happy and im always excited to see what you do next with the 4 boys. I love the way you tackle queer struggles of sexuality and gender expression and it really is a story authentic to you. you write boyfriends because you want to, and it's a part of your own journey to figure out your own battles and you're sharing that with the world- and I think that's brave and special. I will forever love your stories and content for the foreseeable future, and im so excited to see where you go from here- continuing boyfriends or not. sending so much love your way Ray, keep doing you king 🙏💖✨️

Cass del Nero

I'm so grateful that you are taking the time to take care of yourself. As a fellow queer person, I have felt so seen by this series, and I always look forward to your thoughts, beautiful art, and fun moments in this series. Thank you for your vulnerability, art, and honesty. Wishing you all the best in this time of rest and healing.

Vic Sueyro

Ray. From the beginning I never understood the hate you were receiving. I don't understand how people can be so mean. We can't please everyone, and what we do will not be to everyone's liking, but I don't understand how there are people who when faced with something they don't like decide to attack instead of moving on. I really wish that if you want Boyfriends to continue, don't stop, even if you do it in your time and when you feel like it. I wouldn't want this beautiful series to stop just because of hate. It's not fair mainly to you and the fans. The queer community is huge and no, this is not stereotypes, the people who say this have not understood anything about your work and your project. You are not insulting anyone, just reaffirming that we are not all the same, even if we use labels to feel safe and in community, each person is a world and an experience! I don't want to make it long, I started paying Patreon this month because I love your work, and I would like you to keep giving to the world this beautiful thing that I also received. I believe that if you rely on the people who love you and those of us who love your work, we can create a community where there is no hate, there is respect, love and we can help you face the bad things. Thank you for your work, it really has a lot of value.

I just found and read all episodes of this comic last week and joined the Patreon last night. I didn't know about all the hate you got for this, and I don't understand it because this webcomic brought me so much joy and gender affirmation. Goth is my favorite character and reading that he isn't on T and isn't going to get bottom surgery was really affirming to me. I felt seen as an AFAB genderfluid person. I also was so happy to see that Goth is ace because I'm acespec and just everything about that character's representation just clicked with me. I understand needing to re-evaluate things moving forward. No one should have to deal with what you've had thrown at you. Just know you helped me a bunch--there is so little wholesome poly, ace, trans rep out there and you have contributed to the community in such impactful and positive ways!! Thank you so much for this webcomic!!

TG

Bullshit you didn't contribute enough. You've done plenty. I don't know where you found the courage to do what you've done. All of your characters are relatable people & when I say relatable I'm talking about sexual preferences, but how the world treats them for who they are PERIOD. Both Nerd & Goth help me feel SEEN AND HEARD in ways I didn't think anyone else can understand. There are so many platforms that use LGBTQ+ representation for "brownie points" and I PROMISE THIS IS NO WHERE NEAR CLOSE TO ANY OF THAT GARBAGE. You actually made a series that is amazing, wholesome, vulnerable, & beautiful. Something that tells people they will find love, any kind of love, for who they are. It doesn't magically fix everything, but it still matters❤️‍🩹

ClusterCat

You dont owe anyone the perfect representation or whatever, millions of comics exist that have a light style and a soft freestyle plot but ppl see this as an issue when the story is about a non cishet duo relationship smh -.- just think about it, will ppl hate this cute comics so much if it was about a cishet girl x cishet boy but with like a similar general trope (I mean like in a way of how the ocs act and talk etc)? Ofc no 💀 Please remember that what u draw is up to u and u dont owe anyone anything in ur art :3 ofc we all here love it sm like I was 15 when I was reading boyfriends in black n white on tapas when it just came out and despite me hating slice of life typa stuff I loved it so much and would read new episodes as soon as I got to school with so much excitement :D And the fact that u, a trans creator, made a comic about four gay boys and Goth being a trans boy made my lil trans boy heart so happy knowing there is so little representation of ppl like me :,] if u ever continue this or not I will still support u and if u do I would defo be so happyyy but like im currently looking more forward to merches. (Sorry if I wrote too much). BOYFRIENDS IS AMAZING REFRAINBOW PLS REMEMBER THIS IT WILL FOREVER BE IN OUR TRUE FANS HEARTS I LOVE IT SM 🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵

Katie

You definitely deserve all our love regardless of whether you continue the story into season 3 or not!! I know you get so much undeserved hate over it and I’m sorry that it’s affected you so deeply. If dropping the series is the best move for you then you should absolutely do it. Obviously we would all love the story to continue but not at the expense of your mental health. As a queer person I’m certainly not embarrassed by this story or the representation it’s given us. Thank you so much for giving us such an amazing story and wonderful characters to love!!!

Lima Bean

your art is such a source of joy for me, and i support u 100% no matter what u decide. i hope u aren’t being too hard on urself, people online are wild and as a trans ace person from a conservative state, if those commenters really cared about lgbt acceptance they would be bullying lawmakers, not small artists. congrats on 200 episodes and cheers to what u do next!!

Tia Carter

Who said mean things to you, I just wanna talk… I, as a queer person myself, have enjoyed this series tremendously and am very sad that people have made you have doubts about it! This story is yours to tell, it’s your world. We’re just vibing in it (and loving it)

MegHatter

Idk if my opinion matters at all for this but i just want to talk you that i have really loved your story and what you have given us. Your art style and stories you gift us has always been something I looked forward too when i see an update. This is your representation of yourself and your art. Just because it does not fit with how other people present themselves it does not seem wrong. Everyone is different and have different experiences. I just hope for the best for you.

Geof Johnson

First of all Mister you do deserve the love, firstly because you're a nice person and also because you've created something that has a lot of meaning for many and has brought joy to them As much as we all love the BFs you, your health and your creative fulfillment matter the most. If you're miserable and not enjoying creating something it's best to leave it sit for a while and get back to it when you feel up to it. Taking a step back is a wonderful idea, and I think we'll all be happy to just see the BFs when they pop up cause you've felt like it. It's been really nice watching your journey from a joke-y post about the dynamics of different archetypes to a full comic and all the other projects you've made too 💙 I can't wait to see what you make in the future

Blas_justthat

Its so sad that lots of people just made fun of you and us, but i always thought that despite everything the people say, you have to be proud of the things that you like or do, this comic helped me discovering more my sexuality and i'm happy for it, also, you knew how to open yourself to us and capturing it in all your characters making it so much better and unique, other thing is your art style that is simply incredible and so special, the coloring is amazing and the vibe it gives its so warm💞. But if you dont feel comfortable anymore continuing Boyfriends we will totally accept it, just wanted you to know that we will always be here, and we'll support you on your future projects. I hope you have a nice day and congrats for the 200 episodes✨️. Edit: (i loved CHERRY + ICE CREAM its amazing)

Caliburn

There are enough paragraphs in this comment section, so I’ll try to keep this brief: You’re awesome. Your comment section has a serious crazy person problem, but that’s a drop in the ocean. And you’ve created something truly incredible. And while I might be new, I can tell how much of your soul you’ve put into this. Whether this is the end of the main comic or not, it has been a glorious ride regardless. (I really hope it isn’t though, I just got here! 🥺) Either way, I implore you: Keep it up, whatever ‘it’ might be. ❤️🫡

Shane Green

Please don't think that you're undeserving of love, praise and support. All of the time, hard work and dedication you put into your work definitely doesn't go unnoticed, though as fans we could do more to show just how much we love and appreciate your work... Apologising for things that don't warrant an apology is something I do very often as well, so I understand how difficult it is to know when not to... but there isn't anything in this post that needs to be apologised for. Look after yourself and prioritise your happiness and wellbeing. Thank you so much again for what you've created 🥹❤️

Sly Blue

You are so deserving of love, your relationship with your sexuality and how you show it through Goth isn't something bad! As a fellow trans asexual who likes the idea of sex, Goth was a huge eye opening character for me. I could never thank you enough for making a character like him and seeing the love and care you portray through your boys relationships and struggles. I'm sorry your comments are constantly a mess and seeing so many, I feel many of them are because of a lacking understanding you aren't responsible to explain. Please take all the time you need, I hope one day things will be easier for you

RikasGrayWolf

I'm sorry, but hold the phone! "It's just a lot of love I didn't deserve in the first place" This is not true, you just haven't figured it out yet. You are loved because you are brilliant in many many ways. The amount of love you're receiving is just a reflection of it. The amount of hate you receive is just the unfortunate natural b.s that follows because misery loves company, especially if it gets to tear it down from somewhere safe and warm first. 99% percent of us love and think you and your comic are the absolute greatest. Hopefully one day, you'll see you 100% deserve very bit of love for every bit of blood, sweat, and copious amount of tears put into giving this glorious masterpiece to us all. I shall be an avid fangirl for the rest of my damn life and I haven't and won't regret a damn millisecond of it.

Alot of Axolotl

Please don't ever stop creating. It doesn't have to be this story, and you don't even have to share it with anyone if you don't want to, but you have a lot of great ideas, a lot to say, and a lot of love for your craft. Lean on that. Don't let anyone take that joy away from you, because it's uniquely yours, forever.

artareon

I’ve definitely seen those types of comments suggesting that the comic is bad representation but these people are just trying to jump on a hate train. It’s a feel good queer comic and for them to downplay its queer validity despite being made by a queer creator is insane. It sucks that they took a cute comic and tainted the joy you initially had in creating it. When you really look deeper into those negative comments you’ll notice that many of the people are transphobic/queerphobic and want to tear you down because they can’t wrap their heads that it’s a cutesy comic by a man. And on top of that, many of the people jumping on the hate train are immature kids. I’ve been here since you first self published boyfriends in black and white and still think the comic is absolute gem~ if you need to step away from boyfriends and try your hand at other projects many of us will still be here cheering you on 🙌 I’ve seen how toxic people become towards Boyfriends and I want you to know that’s not because of you. These past years when I’ve seen those comments/videos trying to paint the comic as bad, I’ve always wondered how you were able to handle all the negativity. I hate to say it but, maybe it is time to explore different projects for a bit? I say this because you deserve to have peace from all the negativity. Mind you, while I haven’t read it in a while I still enjoy seeing you post about them here ~ I just think it may be giving you too much pain due to negativity people keep bringing. (This is very long winded, sorry 😮‍💨) TLDR: it may feel more healing to step away for a bit if not entirely due to the pain the negativity has caused you

Jim

I’m reading this very late. But I’m honestly glad and excited for every content you’ll create even it’s not part of the boyfriends series or characters, I just love your art and you can make a lot of stories and change lives with other characters. You’re really good at this whole thing and definitely you’ve touched so many hearts around the world, that’s a lot. You deserve nothing but the best in your life, Ray. Love u 💕

CuteCryptid

Through Boyfriends and its characters you have voiced, word-by-word, a lot of reassurance throughout my own self-discovery and identity journey these past four years. Stuff that I have been insecure about and even if I had come to find my own terms, most of the times you have written and drawn situations to which I could relate and find peace in them. I love the boys so much, but Nerd, specially in this latest arc of them, have been such a cornerstone for my own identity and well being that I think I won't ever be grateful enough. I will never understand the negativity and the backlash for such a comfy, heartwarming, unharmful and cute story that you have created. Boyfriends has been my safe place for such a long time. Thank you. I will keep supporting you in whatever endeavor you decide to embark on, Ray. 💜

LW

I'm not embarrassed to be a fan of Boyfriends. Your work is wonderful, and the backlash and harassment you have faced is cruel and unfair. Please, take care of yourself. Take the time you need. Whether or not you continue Boyfriends or do something else, I wish you the very best

Mgram

I'm so sorry that so many people decided to hate on the comic; it's incredible how much people are terrified of queer people not being brutalized in media. You've done plenty for us, especially those who finally wanted to imagine ourselves happy and got to have a piece of that through your art. That being said, we as your fans support you in whatever endeavor you decide to pursue, whether that is continuing the comic, working on other things, or even taking a break from drawing if you need it. We're so grateful for the art you decided to share with us, and you don't owe us anything, especially if it is not healthy & comfortable for you to give. Best of luck on wherever your journey takes you!!

BAJ111

Thank you. This series has helped me with so many questions of my own and I can not be more grateful for someone else that can relate. It will be sad to see you stop the comics but if you feel like it is not bringing you happiness anymore STOP! Your well-being is much more important and I am glad you can finally have a break and think through it all. Everybody on here will support you. Live, love and do what makes you happy, never forget that. ❤️ ❤️❤️

Moth Drakehart

As someone who is living in a queer-poly situation that is almost eerily similar to your work at times. I cannot fathom the critique that your work is unrealistic. But take some time for you man. Make more Boyfriends some day, or make something new. But don't let anyone convince you to stop making stuff. The queer community never passes up a chance to tear itself apart from the inside. In some ways, I think its a result of the big progress we have made in certain parts of the world. But that's not a reflection of you. Its a reflection of people whose queerness has become so militant that being combative with the only way that they know how to express it.

Rikki Chadwick

Anyone who says stuff like ‘this is why people hate xyz’ is an idiot and its never an accurate statement. Period. Boyfriends has brought me so much joy and i will support it and you to the end and beyond🫶🏻

Toz

As I read your statements about people hating on the comic and being critical of it, I am honestly confused. It's like they cannot be talking about the same comic I am thinking of. As for not being proud of being a fan, personally, I link your comic to people and say look, this comic is so cute and wholesome! It's a poly comic that is not 100% fantasy land, it actually touches on boundaries and people's differing comfort levels and the difficulty of balancing attention in a poly relationship. Is it "accurate"? I don't know poly relationships or queer relationships (unfortunately!) but EVERY relationship is different. Nothing is going to be representative for everybody. Personally, it warms my heart when I see your boyfriends checking in with each other and making sure everyone is comfortable.

Loreia

To read that people have told you that Goth isn't an accurate representation of asexuality when his character is a big part of what made me realise I was definitely somewhere on the ace spectrum makes my blood boil. Thank you so much for the story you created, I'm sorry it caused you pain. Take care of yourself, I'll be there for whatever you do next <3

Xharenny Ortiz

Ckaricai

People hate on everything. You gotta ignore it and move on. There is nothing wrong with making art that reflects your view of the world and who you are. I guarantee there are other people with similar views and questions. All the hate for the newest gayest Doctor Who season kinda pisses me off but those haters will not make me stop watching and enjoying it. But also both Doctor Who and Boyfriends can’t and won’t be all things to all people. But the people for whom this comic is a thing, it’s a meaningful thing otherwise we wouldn’t engage with it. Keep drawing!

Aradia

For what it’s worth, I think I was truly brave putting yourself out there. I’m so sorry you met with so much hate. But I also just want to say thank you for sharing something truly beautiful with us all. Even if you don’t make anything else, we’ll still enjoy what you’ve already put out there. So thank you.

DaRichMan

I love Boyfriends. I always look forward to reading it. It's probably the only reason I have Webtoons. Seeing the relationship(s) they have has been amazing for me. Plus, seeing Nerd go through they're whole gender identity thing kind of really helped me with mine. This series has been a big part of my life since I started reading and I always look forward to more content involving the characters. All that being said, you do what feel right for you. If episode 200 is the ending then that's completely fair. Honestly, as an ending it's fantastic. Just as long as you're satisfied with what you do.

espercharm

I just wanna say I wasn’t aware that Boyfriends was getting hate. This Webtoon has genuinely been so healing for me as a bisexual and poly woman. I love the softness and cuteness of this webtoon and when I feel stressed out or i just feel bad I read Boyfriends. It makes me feel immediately better. I love this slice of life story you’ve created with my whole gay ass heart.

Ghost Star

I just want to say I've been reading your series the beginning and I've always loved it and respected and admired you as a creator. (Even your other art. I think I have like all of your pokemon pins, the RaiLeon keychain is one of my favorite things, and all of the BFs plushies have been on my bed since I bought them.) I've always found the series enjoyable and endearing and that comes from how much love and effort you put into the series. My friend actually recommended this to me and since then I've recommended it to others and have made so many new friends and it's inspired my creative works as well. I will say personally the hatred towards you and your series has been one of the most unfounded and malicious smear campaigns I've ever seen in my life from some of the most vile, inhumane people I've ever seen and so much of it is rooted in racism, homophobia, and queerphobia even if it came from other oppressed people. These people only find acceptance in their hatred filled communities because there's no one to call out their bs and they think they can do this because they're online. But outside of those communities and even irl there are so many groups of people who combat these people and their bigotry and defend you and your series. Your story and your experiences are valid. Historically, there's always been other lgbtq+ people who tell others they're not valid or good enough to be in the community and so much of that is tied to them wanting to oppress others for their own desire to feel powerful over other marginalized people despite themselves also being oppressed. I'll never understand people who experience systemic oppression wanting to harm those who also face the same injustices. There's so much hatred but I also want you to know there's so many people who love the series and support you. I'm sorry for all of the horrible treatment you've received from people who honestly have no conscience and I hope, despite all of this, you're still managing to do well. Definitely prioritize resting and healing for yourself and follow what brings you joy at the end of the day. You've worked so hard on this series and there is no shame for creating such a masterpiece that has brought to much comfort and has been meaningful to a lot of people. ❤️

Thomas Henry

As a nb person your not embarassing anybody. Your work is incredibly inportant to give lgbtq+ people a sense of normalcy that they don't normally get

Christopher

I had a friend group that kicked me out because I like boyfriends. It was one of a couple other things, all on the same level of “the internet has decided we don’t like this because reasons” I still stand by your comic no matter what. Boyfriends has made me feel better about my own sexuality. Many people in this world think that their experiences mean everything. They think that just because your comic consists of a poly couple and they only see being poly as something for sexual reasons, they think you’re being creepy. The truth is that many poly people exist, myself included. Gay people have sex, asexual people have sex. Not only is your comic an amazing representation of my own feelings and the feelings of others, it’s also very realistic. It can be whimsical and silly, and sometimes a little cringe, but it focuses on real topics found in real relationships and shows us how to be healthy. Even in your nsfw chapters, the boys make sure that they’re comfortable and having a good, safe time. Without your comic, I think a lot of people would be lost, myself included. I don’t want to pressure you into making something you don’t want to, but don’t you EVER think that what idiots say online about you is true. You are an amazing artist who made an amazing story that inspires people and makes us feel represented. I would go to hell and back to make sure you feel appreciated for your work, even if you decide to quit. You’ve made so many people so happy and I hope you understand that.

Valerie

I've really cherished, and looked forward to Boyfriends episodes. I also loved seeing a healthy, and cute polycule! There's no much poly media content out there and I've loved cherishing boyfriends for that. Plus I really like Goth! Goth is my favorite :3 I loved how goth being trans was not a big deal. I know trans men have to deal with so much bullshit from cis gay men in the community so seeing goth not have to deal with that was great! Nerd is my second favorite after goth being my 1st favorite. I just really really cherish your comic. It's brought so much smiles and happiness to me. Screw all those folks giving you a hard time over goth, and a hard time over comic in general. They're just the type who can't see someone doing something they enjoy and others enjoying their art and hobbies. They just want to syphen your energy and positivity from you. Always be unapologetically yourself, and it's better to be your authentic self, and doing things for your enjoyment and what you want to do and not gat others want from you.

Déborah Gay

As a « pastel boi » who is discovering their non binary identity later in life I want to say thanks. Your comic helps me a lot and touched me quite a bit.

Merimutt

I really never understood the hate for Boyfriends. I'm not the type to aggressively white knight my favs or anything but I've always proudly said that I really like Boyfriends and think it's super cute and wholesome. God forbid someone make a story where queer people are happy (or even worse, horny). The fact that people tore you down and harassed you when you should be a celebrated queer creator is a tragedy honestly, and I'm truly sorry you have such a complex relationship with the comic now. Thank you for making ME feel represented through Nerd's sexuality and gender exploration, and no matter what you decide to do in the future thank you for making Boyfriends <3

Paradise Kiss

I came back after some time to the series and now i joined ur patreon u have a hella specific style and really lovely way of presenting character that alot of us can relate to. The decision is yours after all but as a fan of ur work nothing would make me happier than u continuing what u love to do cause at the end of the day ppl will always have a reason to hate something its just how the world works and u holdin up until now is the sole proof that ur work is worth it and is valuable to everyone of us here! Sorry for the rent...

Sakaiya Johnson

As a poly sex positive ace this comic was the first bit of representation for that I've ever seen. If you need to step back, please do what you need for your own health but i do want you to o know that part of the reason the haters are so loud arr because so many people do resonate and love what you do and they cant stand that. Be healthy and do what you need for your happiness but know that we are aren't shamed to be fans and that this comic has brought do many of us joy. I hope it brings you also more joy than pain even if you never draw anything for it again.

Nephalope

I've been a fan of boyfriend since those first bits of concept art and ideas. I loved it so much because it was fun and refreshing, but it was also coming out during a time where I was realizing that I was polyamorous and nonbinary. Seeing these characters just exist and deal with everyday problems just made me feel hopeful, hopeful that my identity wasn't a mistake. Since coming out, I've been so much happier. I'm thankful that this comic exists. Thank you for that! And I hope that whatever projects you work on will bring you the same joy that your projects have brought me.

Christopher

I know I already commented here, but my friend said she loves your lesbians :3

Zooey

For whatever it’s worth, try not to get too into your head about “representation.” I know it’s something that we queer people are always talking about online, and for good reason, but sometimes I worry we shoot ourselves in the foot in our quest for some sort of perfectly “representative” media. We are by our very nature as a community, heterodox. We’re the different ones, the ones who don’t, or can’t, or refuse to fit into the dominant social scripts of our societies. Trying to perfectly “represent” us is impossible; you can do it very badly of course, but it’s hard to truly do it well. As an artist all you can do is make *your* art. Do it as you’ve done it so far: with respect, with kindness, and with humor. But also with the knowledge that no matter what you create there will always be people in the community who don’t feel “represented” by it, and that is ok. It is not the job of any queer artist, regardless of how popular they are, to “represent” us all. The only way we are really truly represented is when queer artists all over the world are able to make the art they want. No single artist can represent us all, but taken together our art—with all its contradictions—can. You made good art here. Some of us feel represented by it, some don’t, and that’s really the best you can hope for. Thanks for giving me something nice to look forward to every few days. Thanks for sharing your art with us.

addie

this is so sad to read. i’m sorry you have to even feel this way. on a lighter note if you ever decide to just keep the webtoon strictly on your Patreon i know your loyal fans will have your back. also me specifically! i will make sure to keep your bills paid and fridge stocked 💪🏾😤

Belladonna m

Im sad to see you talk down to yourself so much :( i’m sorry the words of others have put you down as well, seeking approval from others will always leave you wondering what you’re doing in your life hun. You just gotta do you eventually. A lot of people feel lost and will point it out in others to distract themselves, but i don’t think it is healthy for you need to constantly be in the winds of what others think, because it constantly changes. All that to say, whether you continue boyfriends or not is up to you, but above all else, don’t let people tell you who you are when you dont even know yourself. They dont know more than you, even if they want to act like they do. Please take care of yourself.

Thorne Habermas

Definitely a late comment to this post but I absolutely love this series. It's become my go to comfort comic with all its fluffy moments. I love that the characters struggle but are always there to reassure each other. It reminds me of my own insecurities (mostly being ace and transmasc) and that it's ok to not have it all figured out and to be confused. Thank you so much for making this and I hope you keep creating more content. I'd love to see it.

Courtney Coburn

Maybe I’m too late to comment… but I recently found the bf series and it has helped me understand myself and my sexuality better. I hope you know that your work is connecting and inspiring people 🫶 Tysm for being vulnerable and offering us a bit of your story in these characters so we feel less alone.

Ahh Ray :( please don't feel sad! It's okay! don't doubt yourself! We understand and will support you if you want to step back from writting this series. Your comic has helped so many people in times of sadness and desolation. People like me were very touched by the comic. I felt so comfortable and happy while reading it and that's why i decided to support you! Because your work helped me and many other people. Please don't doubt yourself just because haters are being haters. At the end of the day, people nowdays just want to hate on something because it's "trending" and they'll soon forget about it and find something else so hate on, sadly. Just know we will always support you Ray 🥰

I've never commented before, but just to share that we would support any decision you make! These comics have been with me for a few years now haha. I remember when we were on black and white in canvas and a few weeks ago I see the printed version on my city TwT. I love these guys, I love this story, I love how natural it represents my sexuality, for a long time this comic was the only thing in the media where I could see myself reflected. It meant a lot to me to see how everyone started dating so naturally, it was never a big deal, and it feels so damn god, thank you for that. I know there are a lot of hate comments towards the comic, but I really think it's because it's a comic that breaks many norms, not only making poly relationships visible, but doing it in the sweetest and cheesiest way. These guys, this beautiful relationship they all have, means a lot to me and thousands of people. If that's the end of the comic I would love to tell you: thank you for representing us <"3

Reading Boyfriends on Webtoon made me want to become a Patreon because the story is so sweet and I love the dynamic between the boys and how they have such loving and open communication with each other. I really hope you’ll continue it but I understand it can be hard with all the negative comments. Please take care
