I've been tinkering with the idea of having a meet and greet with my characters on my booth when I do conventions.

The idea is to have a Discord call with voice actors using the Live2D models of the Boyfriends, and you can talk to them, ask them questions, or requests things like fanservice/singing/etc! Thinking of having like... a maximum 5 min sessions per person.

I'm not sure how much to charge for them though. SO I WANNA ASK how much are you comfortable with paying for this kinda thing?

Let me know if you have any other thoughts too! Like what kind of thing you wanna see from this, or what you would have asked the characters if you get to be in this kinda event /o/

Maybe you could try having a number between 1-10 minutes and people could pay per minute? I’m not sure if that’ll work but perhaps?

I feel like they should cost more than that especially cuz theyre live talking to you. 5 minutes is also alot of time most people dont have enough to fill 5 minutes

I think 5 minutes is actually quite a lot of time and 10$ is an extremely reasonable price! I think its a fun idea to be able to like have a short convo with them! With the ticket would you be able to talk to any of them? Or would it be one ticket per boyfriend you wanted to talk to? If that were the case, id think 5$ would actually be better. But if you could like talk to any of them for the allotted time, i think 10$ is great.

This is amazingly priced!!! I meet other voice actors and would pay for con admission and then $40 for pictures or signatures !!!

definitely more than the provided options if it isn't prerecorded!! also feeling sad because i live in a very weird area and i'd genuinely be shocked if you ever came to one of our conventions, so i can only hope to live vicariously through posted videos if it's allowed omg

A vtuber setup would probably work well for that. Seems like there would be a lot of overlap technically speaking.

I think you should ask them for their rates first, and charge according to that. Maybe round the price up to 5's and 0's so you can tip them or reinvest the earning in commissioning more voiceovers or animations.

Not that I'd ever have a chance to go to these types of conventions, but I'd still LOVE to pay ANYTHING to have a 5 min chat with Jock or Prep. $5/$10/$15 all sound reasonable. But you'd have to take into account the size of the line and how long you'd be able to keep up such an event if to say 100 people showed up and plan to pay. I doubt you'd be able to keep the discord call going for 500 minutes (8 hours +) 😅 and the voice actors would literally die 😂

5-10 would be a really comfortable and affordable price for us, but I personally wouldn't mind it being more expensive if I got the chance to do this, since it seems to be such a fun experience, and there is so much work done behind this... I get that you're doing this because you want it, and I'm glad, but because of the hard work (making the models + looking for voice actors + putting all of this together for people to enjoy, and so on...), I would be willing to pay more for this experience. I wish I wasn't living in another country because I genuinely want to do this, what a shame. This is a really cool idea and you're creative, if it was possible to pay and speak with the characters without having to be there in person, I'd totally buy a ticket.

You could have the costs be sliding scale potentially? I think 10$ minimum makes sense and is a good low price for people who maybe can't afford too much but still really want to get in on this amazing opportunity. The higher end of the sliding scale could be like 30$ or more for the people who have more financial security & can pay more :) regardless of what you decide for payment I love this idea!

Considering all the organisation and all the work this type of event needs (especialy for the live2d models...) i think 10€/$ is a strict minimum :)

That sounds like an insane amount of work and planning to make something that I think won't interest most convention goers. To me, that seems like an idea that would be more appropriate for a Twitch stream.

I think the price should be higher then the options given. With all the effort you, the 2D animator, and voice actor are doing. Maybe ask fellow VAs how much it'll sually cost for a session for 5min. Cause the VAs might be in different time zones too

As many others have mentioned, due to the complexity of doing this I'd suggest making the cost of the ticket a bit more ($15-20?). That way the VAs can be fairly compensated, you can, etc.. Also, I'd say for this to be feasible at a con level, I would suggest selling the tickets beforehand (with maybe a few for last minute buys at cons). I only mention this as many typical con-goers may not be familiar with Boyfriend's, and it would suck not being able to make sales for the event. I do like the idea of maybe having this as a discord call! Every so often open up Meet and Greet slots that are either a first come first serve or lottery system - offer ticket packages for all four, you pick two, and individual c:

Personally I'd suggest a higher price. Maybe $20 minimum for a five minute session, considering all the work that's having to go into this?
