You offer a hand to the bunny and pick him up. He dusts himself off and looks at the rubble that used to be your body. He looks back at you and examines your new form.

"W-What happened?" the bunny says.

"Oh, an upgrade," you say.

"An upgrade...?" he replies slowly.

"And I think you'll find it much stronger and sturdier than fleece. I think you'll enjoy it."

The plushie steps back slightly, unsure what to say. You see his hesitation and before he can stoop down to pick up the hammer, you grab him by his neck with ease.

"S-Stop! G-Give me back Percy!" he yells, fumbling at your grip.

You marvel at your newfound strength and agility. "Come, I think you will enjoy what I have in store for you. But first, I must escort that damned bird out of here."

You look at the pitiful body you once occupied and you command the army of clockwork mice to clean up. You take the struggling toy and toss him into a nearby room before locking it. Then you head downstairs to see the rubble. You sigh— this will take months to repair. You see Azalius peering up at you, angry and clearly annoyed. His eyes scan your body and he sighs.

"You win, Vesta, you win." He adjusts his coat and walks out of sight. The clock above rings at the hour and all is silent in the clock tower.

<EPILOGUE>

You call over your apprentice and he stands before you at attention. You dislodge his head and set it down on the workshop table for maintenance. His body stands while you open up the back of his head and start replacing certain worn-out gears. You dig around until you find the jewel that is affecting his command center. You reach into a nearby drawer and bring out a new jewel and slot it in. You dust and wipe the nooks of dirt and grime before closing up the access panel. You put the head down and stare at his body. It wasn't as perfect as yours but you have made much progress with replacing his felt body with metal. Though he is deep in his own research, his body needs proper care and upkeep. Unlike you who is constantly evolving, the bunny requires consistent updating and replacement when parts wear down.

Though you once thought it best to scrap him for parts, some part of you feels enjoyment from his presence. Perhaps it is the feeling of the one who originally possessed this body but either way, the bunny has made for quite a useful servant. You and he have found a balance between old cogwheels and gears with new technology, the upgrade you always searched for.

"Diagnostic check, system protocol 008," you say to the bunny.

His eyes flicker and flash white while checking his nodes for errors. His mouth opens and you press a finger inside to connect to a port that links his memory with yours. As the system diagnostic runs, you sigh and stare down at your hand.

You found that this body experiences a certain emotion. This feeling... this feeling of lust. You had indulged in it before, machined parts that gave you an outlet for your desires. You discovered certain access points to the bunny's main data system through experimentation and relished in your apprentice until you tired of such acts. During one of these sessions, you discovered not giving him an outlet of his own overloaded his system and you spent months recovering lost data. Now, both of you had a null fail safe installed that turns lust into energy. You find this to be an appropriate solution but from time to time, a release is still necessary. You reach over and remove his crotch plate, revealing some wires and tubing. His erect cock is dripping lubricant fluid and you wipe it clean before setting it aside. You reach inside and his figure shakes slightly from pleasure as you dig for the counterweight. It is covered in oil and grease and you clean it before thrusting it back in.

"Scan complete, system operational," the bunny says.

You lift up his head and fix it back on his neck. He salutes with a smile and hobbles back to work. You turn back to the circuitry before you and continue your research.
