Even if I was really interested in someone, if they were already in a relationship or they clearly weren’t interested in me, I’d stop trying. I wouldn’t keep pressing them or trying to guilt trip them into liking me or trying a relationship. You can’t force someone into something they clearly aren’t into. The only person that can really decide that, is oneself. It’s like my belief in religion, sure, a disciple is someone that is supposed to spread the word. In my mind however, if someone is open to it and willing to invest in it, then I’d talk the about it. Trying to force someone into a religion, guilt trip them, or constantly badgering them about it is almost certainly lower the chance they’ll ever want to join, and they’ll dislike it even more. Moral of the story, is that I would never force myself onto, or try to pressure them into a relationship if they’re clearly not interested or they’re already taken.

It's funny being a man. If you keep trying it's harassment, but if you give up you didn't try hard enough. Good luck figuring out if she's just being nice or playing hard to get. I’ve been single for a very long time and there’s not really anywhere that I could go to meet somebody. I’ve often been told “just go to a pub or a club. Shouldn’t be too hard to find someone to talk to.” Bitch, even if that idea didn’t sound completely awful and terrifying nobody wants me approaching them while they’re just trying to have fun and I certainly don’t want to feel like I’m bothering people. I’ll just stay wasting away quietly at home rather than feeling even more guilty about inconveniencing people with my existence thanks.

Once, my girlfriend and I traveled to Mexico for vacation, and believe it or not, almost every time we went to a bar or restaurant, a guy would come up offering us drinks and company. When we told him we were a couple, he'd say we were lying or tell us to kiss in front of him to prove it. One of the things they'd say, which made her laugh but disgusted me, was: "the day a real man makes love to you, you'll stop acting gay." I hated that trip with all my heart; I should've stayed on my beautiful Caribbean island.

Savage! Honestly, even as a guy I don't understand how there are so many people like this. I feel like growing up I didn't know anyone like this. I did know a few in my Army days, but that was after basic training and I chalked it up to young and dumb plus haven't even seen girl in nearly 3 months. But now I'm starting to think that me and my little friend group were the exceptions.

Not to be rude, but I seriously doubt that "most" women have to go through this. I know plenty of women, and none of them have ever experienced this.

Whether it’s most or not, I don’t think that mitigates the behaviour or the fear that the women who have experienced it suffer. But from a lot of articles and research papers, apparently 97% of adult women in the UK have experienced some form of sexual harassment. This will obviously vary from country to country. And obviously different studies will have varying percentages of reported and unreported cases, but I would say they all highlight that it’s not a small percentage of women that experience harassment.

Ive had to do this. This is not quite as universal as other things but between men and women but i have experienced having to try to turn down a woman with the lingering possibility of arrested. Now i just stay home drinks are cheaper and i can spend time with only the friend i want to and watch anime cant do that at a bar or club.

As a guy myself I have seen firsthand how fellow mates can’t fathom being turned down. They insist she plays hard to get and I’m like dude she doesn’t like you take the HINT. And I’ve also I’ve had experience with women also pressuring me into a relationship because I’m not the typical player and am actually a decent guy with life goals.
