Oh, that's wonderful. I've tried hard to be authentic and sincere when voicing an autistic character. I want to give a grounded portrayal because autism is very real and can be very debilitating. This isn't about fetishising - it's about being honest about the cons and pros of neurodivergence. Autism is a spectrum and this is just one example of what that can look like. Thank you again.

You are a treasure, Ms Tea. Thank you for making me aware of the term neurodivergent, which is so much better than the catch all terminology of mental disorders, which is stigmatizing and inaccurate. My late wife and I had to deal with her OCD back in the 90’s—the whole half hour hand washing situation, until she was finally able to handle it with meds without the side effects and desensitization. I pray that I was as a good egg as your listener when she needed me to be. You show that those on the spectrum are as deserving of love as the rest of humanity, and that sometimes the best way to show them that love is to give them the space they need when needed. Thank you for sharing your lovely words with us.

Wonderful work Tea! I loved that we were respectful of her just wanting some alone time at first and then when she felt like it she allows us to get closer. Her soft talk and cuddles in the couch was amazing along with the tapping and her appreciation of us understand her. Booting up the game in the end was a fun touch.
