Not that anyone cares, but the skills you develop in school help you through the rest of your life. Who cares about algebra? The practice you get from solving equations is good problem solving. That's a life skill. Who cares about the mitochondria? (No one does.) That's memory. You need a good memory in this world. Who cares if the door is blue? You are analyzing and interpreting a passage.
