Howdy, Patronies, and happy Halloween! We're here with this month's bonus show, and it's a special one!

We got our hands on a genuine Child World toy store circular from an October 1989 newspaper, and it was absolutely LOADED with Halloween goodies from the late '80s, from costumes to candy to decorations to -- of course -- toys!

We knew we had to do a bonus show about this, so join us as we highlight six specific things from that circular, including everything from the Nightmare on Elm Street board game to the classic 1980s "Ninja" Halloween costume!

But wait, there's more!

In addition to the podcast, we also put together this special gallery containing the entire circular! (Do us a favor and keep that link to yourselves... it's really just meant for your eyes!) Enjoy the show, and the circular -- both are absolute bombs of late '80s Halloween nostalgia! Thanks for all of your support here on Patreon! We hope you've enjoyed the shows this season! Halloween isn't over yet, so make the most of what's left!

Oh man Child’s World, or as it was called here, Children’s Palace, was my toy store as a kid. I’m so excited for anything related to them!

Just what we needed to send us into Halloween.

I didn't have Child's World but I'm sure it will hit regardless. Happy Halloween Week! Which... I guess is different than Halloween Month...though still not as good as Halloween the Cat. 🐈🎃🦇

Anyone have a Mervyns toy store? I got all my Star Wars toys there.

"Hey baby, wanna taste of my lasagna?" - Garfield to Barbie as Jake sulks and balances on the sides of his feet.

A coworker was telling about a child world in Brockton mass at the Westgate mall . Castle Themed and everything . That’s where he got his “the real Ghostbusters” complete collection .

we had children's palace at the olde Coliseum Mall in Hampton, VA. I only remember the going out of business sale and getting Ice Capades Barbie. The store later became Proffits and then Dillards and then closed completely around 2003 leading to the death of the mall. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ way2go, children's palace. omg the freddy song, I always associate that song with Troop Beverly Hills!

It's been a Halloween consumerism season for the record books. That being said, it does seem like the vibe is off. Maybe because it feels too warm in the northeast or the pending election killing the buzz. You guys do a great job of celebrating the season and an episode like this is exactly what I needed. I did not have a Childs World nearby but distinctly remember my grandmother taking me to the in Levittown NY and buying me a gameboy game. Almost positive it was Ducktales. Really appreciate the trot down memory lane fellas. Great episode as always

Omg, Children's Palace...that takes me back.

I can’t believe Jay mentioned the game Shinobi! Haven’t thought of that beloved game in over 35 years

Anyone else having issues with the Imgur site?

Man... check out the Masquerade Wig ad on page 2. You need to zoom in quite a bit but check out that vampire. He looks like he's sitting at a neighborhood dive bar after a hard day at the shop.

I need to know if Matt or Jay have ever seen WUNF Halloween Special.
