While we prepare for three months' worth of spooky-themed Purple Stuff episodes, here are a bunch of seasonally-appropriate movies that are streaming for free on YouTube. (By "seasonally-appropriate" we're of course referring to the Halloween season, even though it's... August 6th? Well, that's close enough.)

Please note that with some of these films, you might need to be logged into YouTube to watch them. (If you have any trouble on mobile, that's probably why.)

Hannibal (2001): Huge movie in its day that literally no one has referenced in any way for over ten years. At times it borders close to a spoof, which wasn't exactly a beloved aspect of the film when it was released. That said, it's a solid "lazy Sunday" movie with some awesomely over-the-top moments. Watch here!

The Rage: Carrie 2 (1999): Another almost-forgotten film, this one actually has quite a bit going for it, including two strong leads, an EXTREME "late '90s" flavor, and an ending that nobody can make sense of. Also, one of the kids from Home Improvement plays a villain. Watch here!

Ghost (1990): This one isn't seen on "spooky movies" lists often, because yeah, it's mostly a tearjerker romance. Even so -- and as highlighted on the podcast long ago -- those scenes with the "shadow demons" are pretty ghastly! Watch here.

Child's Play (1988): Before the new TV series kicks off, see where it all began! We're both giant fans of this flick and why wouldn't we be? They made a mainstream horror movie out of a My Buddy doll. Classic. Watch here!

Enjoy! We'll be back soon with one of this month's shows -- we're not sure if we're doing the "big show" or the bonus show first, but either way, it won't be long. We can't wait to spend another Halloween season with you guys!

Hannibal was great. I think about that “dinner” scene with Ray Liota a lot…
