Happy Thanksgiving, friends! (If you’re in the States, at least. Happy General November to the rest of you?)

If you missed it, our latest BIG show just dropped. We’re continuing our annual series of Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade reviews with a deep dive into one of the best ones they’ve ever done.

The 1989 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade was incredible, featuring everyone from ALF to The Joker to the late great Willard Scott. In our new episode, we not only tell you about the parade’s highlights, but we even get into some of the TV commercials that aired during it!

That show is on your regular feeds now, but if you want a direct link, here it is on Apple or Spotify.

Oh, and if you wanna watch the clips that correlate with our picks, here’s a quick-and-dirty YouTube video.

Have a wonderful holiday weekend, and thanks so much for supporting the Purple Stuff Pod here on Patreon. We’ll be back after Thanksgiving with the November bonus show, and then it’s onto December for more holiday fun. Stay tuned!

Thanks for the show, gentlemen, it was a typical banger, and kept me company on the drive to Krispy Kreme for cranberry doughnuts. At 5:10 in the video, Dale nearly took a spill getting back on the rocket car, but the Jetts came to the rescue. The ALF chicken dance reaction shot was histerical.

The long awaited return of the Brutus the Barber Beefcake theme!

Deborah was a very very very short lived Today show host. She now hosts Inside Edition, which is like, the most fearmongery show ever, lol. Alf's commentary from the macy's window, in what looks like a dark room is kinda nightdreamy?
