Here's just a little snack for you - a little bit about how I centre a pattern over the working stitches when I'm inventing these blankets.  I am much farther along now - I've centred two more patterns, and now I'm along the edge - with the end in sight, which is great because between you and me we are very much running out of time.

The videos necessarily follow behind me as they take a few days to make - and my tech guy still only has one working arm.  (I tell you this though, I've learned a lot about how to do all this myself, though I'm pretty terrible at it.)

Next up is a little video about increasing and decreasing in pattern - and how to mark up a chart to figure that particular bit of magic out.

Any questions I should answer so far?

(PS: Because there are so many friendly corrections (it does my heart good to think that there are so many of you who care so passionately about spelling) "Centring" is in fact, correct.  Here in Canada we use Canadian English (almost identical to British English and rather different than US English) and what many of you would spell as "center" and thus "centering" here is "centre" and thus... "centring". I swear it. File that away for when it is inevitably useful in a trivia game or some crazy Canadian spelling bee you find yourself caught up in.)

Oh boy, I didn't understand that at all. I'm going to have to go back and watch it a few times more! I will be victorious!

Very informative!! I tend to knit a lot of colourwork and not a lot of lace, but the same principles apply in terms of the repeats and centring one motif over another. Also, what a lovely pattern!
