lissy

Heyy Dee im not far into the vid but happy u enjoyed germany🥰 its my homecountry n tbh i dont necessarily get why ppl want to visit so its fun to see your perspective on it Thanks for the vlog n all ur effort ❤️ And yes, we currently have the european championships/ Euros going on so u see lots of drunk loud ppl here these days..but most of the time its quite fun! 😭

Ryan Haile

Not you posting bout germany the day I arrive in Germany. Haven’t even watched it yet but I can already tell you the looks I’m getting are REAL. Not my first time in Germany but first time in the southern, more conservative part and I’m in the country side lol. That being said, I’m also walking around with a keffiyeh (Palestinian scarf) and they got strong opinions on Israel/palestine here so might be that😂

real Felix

Hey Dee , I’m from Germany. Be careful the racism is getting stronger over here because of a specific political party is taking over extremely.

Richard

You should have come during the Euros, although I don’t know, maybe the recording is not that old, but right now there is a European football tournament taking place in Germany. And it’s lit as hell here Greetings from Hamburg

Gian Luca

I haven’t watched the full video yet, but I’m so sorry that you had a bad experienced here :( I hope you still had a good time and you enjoyed your trip

Lmaoo not you don't get why people want to visit 😂 but appreciate you, thanks for watching!

deeshanell
>>143048825

Yeahh the country side in a lot of areas be high key racist lol hopefully you don't face any major issues though. Enjoy your trip!

lissy
>>143048657

Yhh idk it just seems so boring in comparison to other countries imo 😭😭 also sorry for any kind of discrimination youve had to experience.. some ppl are just not ittt

lissy

Lol i completely agree w heating up pastries or sandwiches!! Thats what i love about japan.. they will always ask u if u want it warm or heated up Only noticed that now loll I think I just switch up on how I like my food depending on where I am 😂😭

deeshanell
>>143049029

I did. I was there exploring though and just being a tourist, wasn't looking for a lit experience at all lol

deeshanell
>>143051444

That's interesting you had that experience in Japan, I never got asked to warm up any food I bought lmao mentioned it in the video, but in most parts of Asia in general, I had issues getting pastries warmed up

Mazin

oh she back in LA, so we really bout to be gettin vlogs left and right 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 FINALLY!!! Also, sorry that happened to you. I have a feeling that in some (not all) European, Asian, & African countries (cause I have been to some) they don’t really discriminate based on color and more so based on nationality. They find out your American or they hear you speak English and they treat you like shit. I even have some friends from London and they told me that every time they go to other countries where English isn’t the first language, they end up getting treated like shit when some hear them speaking in English. American or British accent lol, similar treatment. But I feel like they have something against Americans specifically. Would you agree? Just wondering. I’m saying that cause I’m originally Egyptian and lived in Egypt for a bit (most of my life grew up here in the US tho) and I never knew someone could get discriminated against due to their skin color until I came to the U.S. because I realized I was getting treated differently than other students at my school because some would think I’m African American when they see me but when I started talking they would realize I’m not (at the time my English was horrible). And in Egypt, a lot of the racist weirdos there they usually judge based on nationality… so if they saw someone from the U.S. and some from Israel, the person from Israel would get treated like shit compared to the person from the U.S. (and that was before all the Palestine/israel things were this talked about).

lissy
>>143051444

Well to be fair they mostly just do that with these lunch or dinner packets that youre supposed to eat warm. Or they have already heated up food at the front next to checkout.. youre right they dont usually do that with pastries my bad 😂😭

lissy
>>143052192

Definitely agree!! Im very used to speaking english w my sister and we always switch to german in certain countries where americans or english ppl dont have the best rep .. 😭

K 🩷

damn that ending was abrupt lmaoooo

deeshanell
>>143054049

A workout indeed! The sun was also beaming that day! Lol I was so tired after I was done

Gökhun

As someone who lives in Germany, this was very interesting and flattering to watch. I'm glad you could over all enjoy this experience! Wishing you a beautiful summer! ☀️ 🌊 🌺

•Hamdi •

Girl be careful when travel to Europe in general right now There’s a rise in racism, political parties want to “save Europe” aka get rid of poc

Ji

Not surprised. I took German for 4 years in high school. During 3rd year for our trip to Germany right before she went my teacher said "Don't be scared or worried, there are black people there too"...Like I wasn't but now I feel like I should be. Wasn't a good experience at all.

EJ tiger

I know with some translation apps or even ChatGPT you can just take a picture and it translates the writing for you.

Jorden

Hey Dee you should also go visit Cuenca Ecuador, I went recently and it was amazing I think you will love it

deeshanell
>>143054652

Had no idea I had so many people from Germany over here lol that's wassup! But yes, I had a good experience overall :) thanks!

Shawnrv

Top tier editing🔥

I’ve been in Germany for about 3 weeks now. I’m honestly loving it here. The architecture gives me Snow White vibes or something 😂Yeah there’s been some people here and there being “extra” especially on the train and the taxis. Other than that, it’s pretty nice. Still prefer Korea over everything because the exchange rate is goated and the public transportation is too and the Koreans look at me like I’m a baddie all the time🥳 and not a sloth so it’s cool

Weary

Appreciate you for keeping company on the Leg Press machine lol. Love the videos!

HoneyIslander

Your vlogs are making me excited to go traveling. I'm planning on taking a trip to Germany for Christmas.

Jay.Eli

The editing is so well done and engaging. Most vlogs I watch just include them yapping while barely showing anything else at all LOL so thank you for actually showing us what you see, it felt like I was there

Tina Marie

It’s funny bc that mochafest pic popped up on my TL. I just tipped my hat, said Dee body is bodying to myself & kept scrolling🤣

Jaden J

I always here from my black friends there racial experiences in germany specifically

hava

yoo this was so fun to watchhhh!! beautyfully filmed and put together, i like how authentic you are and the way you tell your experience like a story. im from amsterdam btw, and my first solo travel was to new york lol i felt called out. but i have the same about amsterdam, being born here, its a small city. i reallyyy love it here, but would not be on my travel list instantly, so i get it from your pov too.

jv.anthonny

Would you ever do some vlogs in LA? I really enjoy them:)

deeshanell
>>143052192

I can't speak for people in general. In the particular situation I was in though, most of the people on my tour were American and he was polite to them...he just didn't like ME lol

deeshanell
>>143089112

Lol thanks so much, that means a lot 💕 I just started improving my editing so I'm so glad yall are enjoying it

deeshanell
>>143095122

Lmao no shade, there are just better American cities to visit as a tourist imo. But New York is a must to visit eventually, hope you had a good time

Hunter Davis

Love the vlogs Dee! I had a chance to go to Germany in high school but unfortunately the paris bombing happened and it got cancelled and I have been thinking about it ever since! The scenery is so beautiful and I am sorry you had that experience, the only thing that had kept me from Germany is some stories from black people. 🤔 I gotta really think about it watching this now lol BTW a really popular trend on tiktok is for black people to rate their experiences in different countries, you should probably do that I feel like it would be dope insight since you have traveled a lot.

Mazin
>>143052192

Oh… then if they were American and he was polite to them. Then yeah he prolly just racist towards black people. Cuz it won’t make sense why he would treat them better than you. Great vlog btw. 🙃

Shan Khan

Did you get to have any authentic German food? That pastry looked bomb but I honestly have no idea what Germans even eat lol

deeshanell
>>143110830

I'm sure I did on the tours but don't remember what. I wasn't impressed with any of the food I had there, as is the case with most countries I travel to tbh (ESPECIALLY those in Europe)

Meli

I agree, the buildings are so cute in the towns! Last year I went on a roadtrip to Schwarzwald area in Germany it’s gorgeous forest with waterfalls and beautiful scenery and cute small towns. I went with my (white) boyfriend and I was the only black person throughout the whole vacation. I experienced two times that some Karens were racist towards me🙄 but overall Germany is nice especially the nature and their pastries. 🌚

Shan Khan
>>143110830

Damn that would be so disappointing to me cus the first thing I think about entering these countries is what I’m gonna eat lmao 😭 Idk if you’ve been to the Middle East yet but I’ve heard their food is pretty good

Frozenone

Your so adventurous Dee it’s really inspiring fr I need to get my passport and stop playing

deeshanell
>>143112845

Aw damn, sorry to hear that! Hopefully it wasn't too blatant. Wild that the only racism I feel like I encountered was from a black guy smh lol

deeshanell
>>143155907

Thanksss 🤗 but yeah def get your passport when you can, there's too much out there to see!

Meli
>>143112845

It was pretty blatant, fortunately my bf and other people who witnessed it, spoke to her about it. Yeah I was shocked when you said the man was black😭🤣 Most of the time when I’m in a foreign country or in white spaces and see black people, we give each other a head nod or greet each other as a sign of “ I see you🙌🏾” but your experience unfortunately was the opposite.

Michael Merriweather

I almost got a job in Germany! I might have to figure something else out and pooch on over because they trying to run the USA into hell. 😂

deeshanell
>>143247378

Wow that's so dope getting a job out the country! Hopefully you get another opportunity like that

Kuteskei

Dee you shoulda audition for love island
