I'm definitely a Kendrick fan, but I look at this as an actual fight, theoretically speaking. If two of your homies get into a real fight, trying to kill each other, you can't hop in trying to play fight even though you could probably beat them both, just to prove you can fight better or because you're "competitive," This was just more than a trap battle, it was personal. Cole joined the beef originally because he thought it would be about bars and hip-hop. Not trying to literally destroy someone's reputation and career. I feel like people don't remember the beef turned into people getting shot, people getting jumped, people being called a pdfile, rapist, a woman beater, wishing literal death on people. J cole literally fought diddy over Kendrick of course he care more about his friendship than trying to destroy their reputation. And for the last 5 months people have literally been acting like cole can't rap, could never rap, not big 3 and was never apart of it because of bowing out 😂 People have literally been saying cole an drake were about to start beefing this whole month for some odd reason. Cole been outrapping kendrick since 2018 if we being honest. Kendrick ain't dropped a verse better than Jonny Ps caddy let alone anything from the Fall Off lol. What makes this so bad is NOBODY gave kendrick this same smoke about dropping that big sean diss then apologizing to him afterwards. Yet everyone made big sean out of being scared and running. Now we got Canadians threatening to kill kendrick and anyone apart of the beef lol. I feel like this shit was never about rap and bars. And based on that cole wouldn't wanna be apart of it. Also every feature cole jumped on was recorded BEFORE might delete later and like that. Cole also does a feature run before a album. Also, tee grizzley also had a falling out with drake too lmaoooo. I didn't even know he was beefing with tems. Dude got beef across genres at this point 😆

After what's bein said and what we've seen about Drizzler, one part of me wishes he shouted out K Dot too but the other part of me feels like the grown man public apology, which really got immature, chemically imbalanced mfs actin like it really affects his skills and legacy, was enough. I also didnt care for the "F*ck all the narratives" line (Unless he's talkin about people tryna start beef between him and Drizzler) when over half those "narratives" are Aubrey's own fault. I agree with a lot of your points. The only one I push back on is Cole collaborating with Drake opps. Just like we be saying for Nicki when beefing with the rap girls they don't owe anyone, they can collab with whoever. I think the same should apply for Cole. But, I do agree he need to let this beef die and stop bringing it up. Unless he's returning to the ring lol.

I love Cole and will still rock with him but him turning the humble button on and off when it’s convenient is disappointing. For the past couple years he’s been asking for smoke to prove he is the best of our generation. He had the perfect opportunity and didn’t stand on it. I’m all for peace but he be asking for war with the pen as well. 😂 Also, he keeps acting like the meditator of the beef. He ventured off to do songs with Metro Boomin and Cash Cobain and went ghost for a minute. J. Cole needs to just drop the album and move on from this.

Points have been made. I actually like the song, but the timing is odd, the weight isn't holding up, and towards the end it sounded like a love letter to Drake. I know Kendrick is quiet because everything has died down, but I'd hate to see Kendrick respond to this song; Cole backing down would've been for nothing if Kendrick responds.
