This song has a bit of an odd history. I had a dream one night that Rage Against The Machine released a new song called "Boats", and the chorus was pretty much as you hear it here, except instead of the call-and-response nature of the lyrics, it just said "fuck boats" over and over lol.

The reason this song took so long to finish is that I mostly couldn't take it seriously, and it was hard to make it feel like something Riikira would actually write, with her being a character that doesn't delve into whimsy or humour.

But, over the last couple of days I sat down with the intent to knead it into something she'd make. The "fuck boats" part of it is still bordering on a little silly, but since that's the very foundation of the idea it wouldn't feel right to change or omit that. So here we are hahah.
