On the 13th of March 2022, I lost my mother to pancreatic cancer, just 3 months after the diagnosis.

While my mum has probably never heard this song before, this one out of Metallica's discography has always stuck with me for the supposed reason it was written - James addressing his mother's battle with cancer.

Perhaps some time in the future I'll cover something she loved. But for now, this one's for my catharsis. Love you, mum. Your were, and still are, truly brilliant.
