It's our 350th episode! Lucy, Theo, Andrew, and Ben bring you: A contentious and mysterious hose, tragic nominative determinism, one easy trick to make crime legal, honouring the dead with Jeeps, a failed bear escape, a loose bull in the stands, and the Great American Hall of Name.

Recorded live in Brisbane at Newstead Brewing co on Saturday, June 15, 2024. Thanks to everyone who came out, especially those who travelled, and big thanks to the people who made this possible, our friends Benny Gibson, Shev, Mish, Floating Disc, and, of course, Marc.

how come not one person in the audience was a medieval historian as of their formal bachelor degree. incredible. a bushel is a norman measure of volume of dried goods that for most substances boils down to around 25-35kg but at some point in the modern era became a measure of weight and not volume

It's not an episode of the podcast "Boonta Vista" unless I'm being told to kill Joe Biden and, 30 minutes later, myself! 突撃雷撃!

At least in the states I'd say that the bushel is still a pretty relevant measure of volume - every farm I've worked for has packed & sold in bushels, and usually produce arrives to grocery stores and markets in bushel boxes. When you're harvesting something you're usually shooting for a target measured in pints, quarts, gallons or bushels

Man you guys are so good. It put a huge smile on my face to think about all those glorious grunters in one place. Congratulations on a massive live show and hope to see you in the UK one day.

Tickled pink that my shout of 'Nominative determinism!' made both the recording and the episode description. Well worth the trip up from Melbourne. Was lovely to meet you guys, to visit The Scratch and see the sights of Brisbane. It's a beautiful place. Shame it's full of Queenslanders.

I loved this. I wish I could have made it up to Brisbane. Aren’t we all Theo’s therapist?

Shiloh Blue

Glad you all finally met in person for the first time for this

It just occurred to me that you might not be able to play the Crime Watch theme in an American venue.
