Lucy and Andrew are here, stinking up the joint with a review of John Travolta's 2015 Texas Lineman epic, Life On The Line. We're also answering some questions from you, our stinky friends!

It's Kay!

About 20 seconds of silence at the start, so I just did a loud and tuneless theme for myself. Ba ba ba baaaa, ba ba ba baaaa, 🎵it's a pod-caaaaaast, it's a pod-caaaast🎶

Fuck dem gods

Noah Z

“it’s been a long hard day at the top of the pole”

Oh, and the cruise episode is the bonus from March 18 2021 — in case anyone else needs to hear the Stewie cruise director bit

Its Devon Babeyyy

(From Dev's girlfriend Becca, once again, sorry Dev) I looked up the Worm Charming Festival because I had the vague memory it was in Devon and therefore feasible we could attend - I humbly suggest having a look at some of the past winning team names. My personal favourite is "Super Suck II" http://www.wormcharming.co.uk/winners.html

I dunno, I think the wigs and beards are pretty hot

Thank you, genuinely, for explaining the godfuckers/theophiles thing.

Jordan Minehan

I'd contribute to "Boontas Go A-Grunting"

Boonta Vista x Fallen Lineman Memorial merch collab when?

Ellen

Thanks freaks I needed this

Nick Fredman

Nice ep, worth noting though a way less hokey country song about linemen, in fact a quite beautiful song about working class life and dreams, is Glen Campbell’s Witchita Lineman.

David Derbesy

🎼most men I know wouldn’t touch the pole I’m climbiiiiiiin’ 🎶

David Derbesy

fuck me I’m unironically enjoying the song

Mark Hardgrove

Check out Taken by the T-Rex. A kool-aid pitcher won't seem as weird.

Marvin the Mattress

Reading about all the prep and personal additions, I wouldn't call John Travoltas character in hairspray "mocking". If you were to ask me I'd say his level of investment is admirable.

Marvin the Mattress

Not too admirable for the Church of Scientology of course.

moppy

i was singing it out loud like a goofball all day yesterday

it would have been so easy for John Travolta to just let the wigs carry his whole performance but god bless him he's really trying. his acting may not be very good but he's putting his whole heart into it and that really goes a long way toward making a bad movie very watchable

Ignatius

oh and if you want recommendations for interesting shitty movies to watch: Journey into Bethlehem - awful Christian attempt at making a Disney musical version of the nativity, worth it just for Antonio Banderas camping it up as King Herod and singing about how he loves to be evil Risen - a surprisingly good attempt at a silly premise, where a Roman tribune is tasked with finding out where the body of a crucified man disappeared to. from the director of Waterworld and Robin Hood Prince of Thieves

Imhotep from The Mummy

I bet this movie got made because Scientology actually owns PG&E or something, and they were trying to get everyone to forget they burned down half of California due to their negligent maintenance practices. Maybe David Miscavige owns a shitton of PG&E stock and he needed to pump those numbers up
