Lucy, Andrew, and Ben bring you: A rescue at the hands of eight big boys, the return of the sack, a pinball tournament that could do with a rebrand, a race against a baby, and the sheer power of reading some names off a piece of paper.

At my cousin’s Law School Grad (Harvard, no big deal) I was so impressed at the effort made to pronounce the students’ names correctly and with flair, across so many languages of origin! May never say anything good abt that place again but wow. Clearly they made the decision to do the work to be able to pull that off. Don’t outsource that shit, man

Note: this was 2023 so I do not pretend this is de facto still the case :/

The outro to Big Boy by Sparks could make a good Big Boy Watch stinger.

Was at a show last weekend and witnessed a white guy with dreads with 12 hacky sacks. It was beautiful.

I was undecided about whether to travel from Adelaide for the live show but Ben's offer sounds simply too intriguing to refuse

I discovered sumo about 3 years ago, and I have been hooked ever since. Loved watching Aonishiki's rise all the way from Jonokuchi, and now some other rising stars like Asahifuji, Tenshoyama, and now Omori. Favorites of the newer top division guys are Fujinokawa and Yoshinofuji Although, my all time favorite is Ura, because he has magic, and his matches are always interesting to watch. Kotozakura is up there though, he's always taking his boys out to eat, clearly that's his love language. Also has one of the best game faces and hype up routines, toss up between him and Hoshoryu's staredown routine. He just really needs some time or possibly surgery, for that bad knee heal up, it's been plaguing him since January 2025...

At the distances we're talking about on the auk mel bri triangle, spherical geometry is gonna be a little more salient than simple euclidean approaches. Just have to say that or scream it into my pillow or both
