Something you were talking about around one hour in reminded me of the fact that I learned recently that the majority of humans don’t have the capability for metacognition. Apparently something like up to 80% of people are walking around without the ability to update their priors based on new information, except in pretty limited circumstances. Additionally the OECD has date showing that only around 5 to 6% of adults in America regularly use the skills that we all think of as critical thinking. Apparently we’re all walking around with like an enlightenment mindset of what people are and that may really not be the case
