It's back! This is the sleepy time spin-off podcast for when you want something to drift off to. I brought my proper microphone this time and it didn't really pick up any of the fire noise, because it's too good of a microphone apparently. You live, you learn! This one is even more rambling than the last, and I am just as surprised as you I managed to speak for about 30 minutes. Maybe even moreso.

been working my way through the bonus episodes since subscribing and this really got me. I had a really good sandwich routine prior to the pandemic and due to being immunocompromised/having chronic health issues/my favorite spots shutting down during lockdown, it's been really hard to get back into the groove of going to get a mediocre sandwich and a cup of coffee (and probably a pastry) but I am going to keep trying.

on one hand it seems strange that something this calming, thoughtful, and lovely should exist on the same feed as a whole podcast episode about beating things with a lead pipe but on the other hand it makes complete sense for reasons that i cannot adequately articulate

This made me think a lot about how indigenous folks describe the difference between being in community and being elsewhere, how we're in cities with all these people, but we're really starved of connection. I'm glad you're finding that sense of connection, and I hope you keep finding your self expression.

There really should be a bridge at the end of Park Rd! Anyone who disagrees isn't a true Boards of Canada fan

SalBee

This was such a nice listen. I love how you talk about George.

Bo Cline

This was wonderful to listen to while I worked, thank you so much Ben!

Rufus

This was a very lovely listen, and yeah that idea of the little pleasant routine is something that is so important in the least presumptuous or parasocial way possible, hope you're doing good

Kellen Singer

Sitting here bawling my eyes out at how lovely and genuine this episode is

This was great, Ben. A wonderful listen. I totally agree about the little social interactions. Part of my daily routine is stopping at a little coffee shop for a post work Americano. The joy of seeing someone you don't totally know, but knows your name, and has a lil chat about how things are going is absolutely lovely. I hope you keep these going. Cheers.

Lumpentheorist

I actually did load up this episode after a stressful day at work, and it worked like a charm. This little series is a delight. Thanks Ben!

Phil Oliver

Phew! I didn’t realise how much I needed to hear that, but I sure as fuck did. Thank you Ben. It was a very nice piece on the reality of reality. P.S. The outro was delightful. Could I trouble you for the artist and tune?

Phil Oliver

Wow! Some new fuel for my glockenspiel playing son. Loving the Bobby Hutcherson experience right now. Music ain’t crap.

Laura

Good stuff. Keep it coming.
