I think additive manufacturing is the concept of making things by slapping on more material, as opposed to something like cutting it out of a larger item of that material - so, 3D printing an titanium part as opposed to laser cutting it out of a big sheet of titanium, Supposedly this reduces waste but fucked if I know how true that is. It was a big STEM buzzword. Also, I knew a guy who worked for saber aeronautics. All of his stories were about lobbying the government for a legal framework for sattelite launches from the NT, and about how ASIO gets very interested in your personal life and internet search history if you know how missiles work.
